- The Aldrich Family, a popular radio teenage situation comedy (1939-1953), was also presented in films, television and comic books. In the radio series' well-remembered weekly opening exchange, awkward teen Henry's mother called, "Hen-reeeeeeeeeeeee! Hen-ree Al-drich!", and he responded with a breaking adolescent voice, "Com-ing, Mother!"
Program: The Aldrich Family

😂
Isn't Betty Anderson the name if the daughter from "Father Knows Best?" And good gosh, Henry sounds JUST LIKE Andy Hardy!
That's right! I think her nickname was "Princess." And yes, Henry *does* sound like Andy Hardy lol.
It sounds to me just like Richard Crenna as his Walter Denton character from Our Miss Brooks.
@@jaytaylor7740 I looked it up Henry was voiced by Ezra Stone .
I thought the word teenagers didn’t come about until the 50s.

Hello Annalisa, How are you doing?
ım a Turk ım just wonder what is meaning henry henry aldrich! coming mother?
Henry's mother is calling her we son by his first and last name. In America, when a parent uses a child's first and last name, it often indicates an imperative: do not delay, but come at once. Henry's response lets his mother know that he will be returning home without delay or complaint.
Weird ending.
Thanks professor
The Looney Tunes brought me here
David Aames same
Technically "Hollywood Steps Out" is Merrie Melodies, not Looney Tunes.
