MIDNIGHT RAMBLER Insubria blues band -Blues forever (2000)

Midnight Rambler è un brano musicale del gruppo rock britannico The Rolling Stones. Fu pubblicato per la prima volta nell'album Let It Bleed del 1969.
La canzone si ispira liberamente alle gesta del presunto serial killer Albert DeSalvo, reo confesso degli omicidi attribuiti allo "Strangolatore di Boston".
Keith Richards definì il pezzo una "opera blues"e la quintessenza delle composizioni del binomio Jagger-Richards, aggiungendo nel documentario Crossfire Hurricane del 2012 che "nessun altro avrebbe potuto scrivere una canzone del genere".
A proposito della composizione del brano, Mick Jagger disse in un'intervista del 1995 concessa a Rolling Stone:
“Quella fu una di quelle canzoni che io e Keith scrivemmo totalmente insieme. Eravamo in vacanza in Italia. In questa bellissima città collinare, Positano, per qualche sera. Perché scrivemmo un pezzo così macabro e tetro in questo luogo meraviglioso così assolato, non so proprio dirlo. L'abbiamo scritto tutto lì - le variazioni di tempo, tutto. E io suonavo l'armonica in questi piccoli caffè, e c'era Keith alla chitarra.”
Midnight Rambler is a song by the British rock band The Rolling Stones. It was first released on the 1969 album Let It Bleed.
The song is loosely inspired by the exploits of the alleged serial killer Albert DeSalvo, who confessed to the murders attributed to the "Boston Strangler".
Keith Richards called the song a "blues opera" and the quintessential Jagger-Richards composition, adding in the 2012 documentary Crossfire Hurricane that "no one else could have written a song like that."
Regarding the song's composition, Mick Jagger said in a 1995 interview with Rolling Stone:
“That was one of those songs that Keith and I wrote totally together. We were on holiday in Italy. In this beautiful hill town, Positano, for a few evenings. Why we wrote such a macabre and dark piece in this wonderful, sunny place, I really can't say. We wrote it all there - the tempo variations, everything. And I was playing harmonica in these little cafes, and there was Keith on guitar.”
