Thanks for creating and sharing this. Once converted to an mp3, this makes a cool edition to any user-created playlist for Civil War PC games such as Ultimate General: Civil War or Grand Tactician Civil War (Which actually comes with an excellent soundtrack). Just an FYI for those interested: The cool thumbnail used above for this video is actually a painting by a very talented artist named Roberta Wesley titled "Rebel Yell". She also created another great Civil War painting (albeit very different from this one) titled "Echoes In Silence", which depicts nature gradually reclaiming a debris-strewn Civil War battlefield days or perhaps weeks after the battle.

Jackson's "Foot Cavalry" only marched to this cadence in a general march. His Corps would make those incredible marches in complete silence, and at double time: double this speed. It's how he was able to defeat several Union armies during his Valley Campaign and it earned him the legacy of being among the greatest generals in US history. His men loved him and because of this they would do just about anything he asked of them

And the last NAVAL BATTLE was fought in the Pacific Ocean, just South of Alaska: With the Confederate ship winning For the Navy never knew the WAR was over, because they had not been into a USA land port. Oh, yes! They both had Navy's. That's where this War started... Was in the PORTS."
the CSA ALABAMA is at the bottom of the ENGLISH CHANEL. But Captain Raphael Semmes let it go. Alabama had been at sea, so long, that she was leaking like a sive. Civil War battle, in the English Chanel. Semmes wanted the Alabama Sank. There was to much technology on the ship.
The Alabama Could be ran as a tall ship with Sails and mast, or steam powered And Semmes used it full advantage. Semmes and his crew both, survived the Alabama sinking, in the English Channel. Since Semmes was in Cherborg... He just commissioned another Ship and some months later... Semmes with his crew, came into port in Mexico. And they worked their way, back across Texas and the Mississippi River into the South, on foot. They said it was something to see.. Men straightening Uncle Billies neck ties and laying track and coming North by train. And the more track they laid...More of the men came to help them lay track and to join them. Semmes made it into Tennessee and was fighting in hand to hand combat. RAPHAEL SEMMES is the only man that will not only be known as an Admiral but as a General, as well. The Union Captured him in Tennessee throwed him in jail. After the war and Andrew Johnson had reinstated the "Constitution," Raphael Semmes was allowed a hearing. Semmes had been an attorney, as well in his younger days, so, he plead his own case, in court and WON! The Union Freed Semmes, with Restriction, "Semmes could never again serve in any "Public Office." Semmes went home to the South. When he died, They gave Semmes the Highest of Honors.
