This shows the story of one of my favorites of the slugcats and honestly, it's beautiful. Spearmaster is such a good, loyal boi. His campaign was one of the hardest imo, but it was so so worth it. Love this game and it's lore.
I physically cannot disagree with you, I also like the Spear Master Even without knowing who he was and what his background was, I fell in love with him) His company opens the door to the backstory of Five Pebbles and the Moon, I like him
I know that everyone’s already said it but this is amazing, spearmaster’s story is one of the more quietly sad ones, a messenger merely passing through the presence of godlike beings whose fates have already been decided. You can only cherish the present, knowing what the inevitable future holds, no matter how much you try.
Spearmaster means so much to me in terms of story, the weight of playing through that on my own- They've become my favourite slugcat. The gentleness... calm and kindness of this entire animatic keeps sticking with me day after day, its delightful. Thank you for making and sharing such a wonderful video!!!
This is literally the topic of too beautiful for words. Thank you for this, as much as I struggled with Spearmaster's campaign, the lore was too good to really not like it. This perfectly describes the relief and love for Rain World I felt when completing Spearmaster's story. Plus, just an added W with Liana Flores song, you're way too underrated!
This is beautiful. This really brings out the emotion in the campaign itself. I frequently found myself nodding along to Moon and the broadcasts and thinking things like “oh yeah, wonder how they’ll help her” and then I simply remember they…don’t. The stories of the iterators are so sad and your job in-game the vast amount of time is just to watch it all unfold. You did a fantastic job of showing that emotion! The song choice is great as well.
This is one of the first spearmaster animations I ever seen, and it’s perfect. I love it so much especially since it’s my favorite slugcat. Amazing animation
I love Spearmaster so much. It’s the campaign I spent the longest on, trapped for so long on that bridge that leads between the iterators, karma just low to never get past the gates. It took so much backtracking to find a safe place for my poor little purple friend, but eventually we made it back with enough karma to get to Moon. It took so long, I decided to take a break and beat the entire Rivulet campaign. Came back to that same bridge, and finally, met Moon. And even then, I had to make the same trip twice more! Yet, I loved every minute of it. This song exemplifies my feelings with Spearmaster.
As I watched this, I slowly started to come to the realization that again that I rarely ever stop rushing to get done with the campaign or running from 20 king vulturbs (I'm actually on Spearmaster in chimney right now ) in the game to appreciate the life and care put into it. (which this wonderful video shows) I forgot to visit any of the lore things in that campaign and I think this helps by showing the beautifully written lore so I'll get better at it and actually sit down and enjoy funny scug game with the best lore I'v seen, uh- ever

There's a charm in your art, the shapes your use for the environment, for the iterators, and Spearmaster. It's such a loving depiction. As difficult as Spearmaster's campaign is, there's something very earnest in it. The story of the iterators is tragic, but Spearmaster just wants to help and then make it home to their iterator. Some days are horrifying, but they just wake up and try again. They keep going because they have to. The player's curiosity becomes Spearmaster's, and every radio broadcast you find, you find together, and you learn that a loving hand is waiting for Spearmaster once it's all done. I keep bringing it up in other youtube comments but it's because it's the only way I can see these slugcats; they are motivated by love, their campaigns are acts devotion. What else could compel them to get up every time and keep trying? The song choice and tone of the animatic, the way you depict everything but especially Spearmaster, I feel like it's a very well-deserved gentleness. Like you've afforded them grace where the world didn't. It makes me emotional just thinking about it.

I like how his difficult mission is taken very calmly. the intermediary was sent to send an extremely important message, everyone is on edge, and he just listens on the sidelines and does his job. he quite possibly underwent a terrible operation, but this did not make him hate SRS and press rebellion; on the contrary, he feels a strong attachment. cute

This is really really good i absolutely love it, but i cant help but notice that shoreline and moon as depicted here dont exist in spearmasters campaign xD
Lmao yeah I made that mistake when storyboarding (but I added a little time jump the first time you see her so it kinda makes sense) also I think future moon fit the bitter-sweetness a bit more

When I first made the storyboard I totally forgot about shoreline lol 😂 But I purposely made it future moon to make it sadder
I think you made a mistake because spearmaster is in the oldest timeline and Moon is actually okay
