Does the paint stick on the surface well? I was thinking about doing the same thing, a displayable model made out of a dirt cheap toy, but shipping cost from China made it meaningless .

Yes the green paint is pretty strong and won't fall off easily.
I am making cheap toys into displayable models not only because it reduces my "learning cost" (it's one of the main reasons though), it is also very challenging. You may want to have a look at my KJ-2000 video, the difference is HUGE after painting! Now it looks like a small die-cast product, it is so satisfying!
In the future I will turn more of these small toy planes into nice displayable models, stay tuned!

@@silentprotagonist5562 Can you make the mi-24 and V-22? I'm thinking about getting some.

Mi-24!!??? So you know the 4D PUZZLE MODEL PLANES VOL. 4...;)
After this CH-47, at first I planned to build 1~2 more of these plane models and no more, then I saw the Vol. 4 and I changed my mind immediately ... So Mi-24 and V-22 (and more) are on my project list now :P
PS: I just found out some more VERY INTERESTING 4D products... will try to get them in my future videos.
