This Ultra Realistic SQUID LURE Got SMASHED!!

- A really fun session catching a mixed bag of fish using a small realistic baby squid soft plastic lure off the rocks!! Caught a variety of small fish in these crystal clear island waters, with my favourite capture being the juvenile dusky grouper!!
Gear used:
Rod: Samurai Reaction 7’ 2-4 lbs
Reel: Daiwa 2022 Exist 2000 D-P
Line: Daiwa Saltiga 12 braid PE 0.6
Leader: Nomad Tufflock 100% Fluorocarbon 8 lbs
Squid Lure: 'ルミカ プニイカウェーブ オレンジ C00108' (the lures were given to me by my uncle, I have no idea where to buy them, but this may help)

Absolutely! I had so much fun catching these fish, and the variety you can get fishing like this in these areas is amazing! Never know what you're gonna catch. With that said though, I am equally keen to get back into some big fish fishing back in Australia, flatty/snapper season can't come fast enough! Glad you enjoyed it :))
Yeah but the croatian Coast can produce big fish too if you know the place...

Just a questing why do you use such high end gear for little fish or what else do you chase with it
Great question! When it comes to this type of fishing, you definitely don't require top of the line gear, as I'm sure you know haha. However, while I decided to invest in this gear more specifically for bream fishing back in Australia, using top-quality equipment, especially for super light tackle fishing, adds so much enjoyment to the experience for me. I must admit, my passion for fishing does pretty much go hand in hand with my passion for fishing gear so I really enjoy using good quality gear when I can! I have only just been able to afford some top of the range gear and it has always been a dream of mine to fish with it, so naturally I'm gonna use it in any application I can! Hope this clears it up :))

Having watched you from the other side of the bay from a distance, fishing for hours and hours, day after day, its so nice to see close up what you were actually doing all that time! Great filming and really interesting fish. At around the 2.50min mark that wouldn't happen to be me paddling past in the distance on the paddle board?

That was a bumblebee grouper i think but im not sure
I think it's a juvenile dusky grouper! Not 100% sure though!

, but the website looks kinda dodgy, so I don't recommend buying from there tbh, idk maybe do some research on it. The lure was given to me as a present from my uncle a while ago, so who knows where he got it from originally! I wish I could find more! I have one left, but I want more! They're so good :))
