All of my most worthy battles were with Lu Bu. I still remember Dynasty Warriors 8 when he shows up with a ton of health really early on in the Wei campaign. That was a legendary fight, even with a friend backing me up.
Very true however I dont think just because Lu Bu died sooner made him potentially any less mighty. Mighty warriors only gained fame and 'might' through slaying other mighty warriors and performing brave deeds. If nobody was mighty then there would have been a stark number shortage of 'Heroes' to boost their reputation from the fallen.
how can not like lu bu's mad skillz? everyone knows he's a beast and he has the right to be cocky because no one man can defeat him. or even armies at that.
"Who else seeks death!?" "Can anyone provide me a decent challenge?" This guy is the chinese Chuck Norris. Heck... Mr. Norris may be descended from Lu bu, who knows?
@Poltair You are right, but LuBu only lasted, what 1 and a half books in the series? (i have not read it in a while) and yet GuanYu, and other lasted much longer then he did.
@Poltair O, you got me hahahaha ya, i personally think that one on one fighting is true combat, but i am surrounded by old guys who think that strength in combat is only measured on a battle field of thousands on thousands, so i have mixed feelings on the subject :), but i your point is true.
To be honest, the two might've been a match, singular-- one on one. Tadakatsu and Lu Bu... Lu Bu was probably the mightier warrior, but Tadakatsu edged him out by a significant margin on brains. It would really come to what got the edge at what point-- Tadakatsu's clever thinking or Lu Bu's brawn. (Honestly, though, Motochika ROCKS them both. Eheh. Eheheh.)
@Poltair Ts'ao Ts'ao never bested any one in one on one combat, and yet look where it got him, Kongming never used a sword, and was considered the most smartest of his time, however i think Guo Jia would have given him a run for his money.
You should read my Legacy of Heroes work. It's a fictional history of the RTK period split into "Cutscene" Chapters. With OC DW characters and my own mixed together. That shows how I feel fame was earned in the different possible ways.
@lolfearme They called Guan Yu, the god of war, not lubu >.> besides lubu only lived a short time compared to the others, personally i think Guan Yu, or Zhang Fei was the best.
That is true but the same can be said of anyone else, Guan Yu included. In history he was not called the God of War, that is something that was fictionalisng by the author of Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
Lu Bu died of stupidity he fall asleep you gotta read more of the book his souilders betrade him but you are right poltair about the doing good deed thing but Lu Bu was just ablood thirtsy man and wanting a fight he doesent do any deeds for anybody not even for his souilders he just wanted a challenge so he could test his ability guan yu was a loial man with great skills on the battlefieldand fights for his people
"Any further Lu Bu hating comments will be removed and the person will be blocked because Lu Bu is the shit" *sigh* okay, dude or dudette,no offence, but don't ya know, that's a liiiiittle childish,ya... I do appreciate Lu Bu's valor etc. but let's face it,his personality was...That of a barbarian really,or a beast. And the fact that you'll remove any words that disagree with your point... Grow up.
@TheGlock80 Isnt it a shame Cao Cao managed that JUST by flooding Xia Pi castle? I used to be a stereotypical DW Lu Bu fan. Liu Bei is now my favourite character. Personally I think being a Lu Bu fan is too cliche now.
Years later, I still think this was the most intimidating version of this man's theme
Best version. Do not argue
The best buildup and the most hype.
I remember when I made a custom character on my friends DW6 game and went into battle being all "YEAH, LETS DO THIS" ...and then Lu Bu appeared
Lu Bu"I fear no man!" Best line he said through out the series
All of my most worthy battles were with Lu Bu. I still remember Dynasty Warriors 8 when he shows up with a ton of health really early on in the Wei campaign. That was a legendary fight, even with a friend backing me up.
Danny Campbell I AM KEEPING TALLIES OF HOW MANY TIMES I BEAT HIM😆😆😆...got the idea after a few play throughs
I love Lu Bu because he is a strong evil badass.
Running around and charging your musou on low health, it's actually Lu Bu pursuing you.
Very true however I dont think just because Lu Bu died sooner made him potentially any less mighty.

Kiyomori needs his own theme as well.
Hell yea.
not anymore in 4 where he is nothing but npc
(Watches your body parts fly in seperate directions)
how can you hate LU BU, he is the shit!
2 people got owned by Lu Bu while going to hit the like button.
Lu Bu was a great man and should be honored so shut up and stop saying bad things about him.
Remember this song from dynasty warriors 4 when you see the koei and then the video/song come :)
lubu pwns my character on empire when i play chaos mode man dude just to dam strong
Epic Bass Riff FTW!
Still, in most games, Lu Bu is still hard to fight even with all that.
@Poltair Hmm, ok i will be sure to check it out.
nice i like this one.. you should put Yi Ling - Avenging Battle aswell lol
@Poltair O, you got me hahahaha ya, i personally think that one on one fighting is true combat, but i am surrounded by old guys who think that strength in combat is only measured on a battle field of thousands on thousands, so i have mixed feelings on the subject :), but i your point is true.
This is like Lu Bu's best theme !
LU BU kicks ass in DW7
don't listen to him! any one who opposes LuBu must be destroyed!!! It's not childish, it's war!
To be honest, the two might've been a match, singular-- one on one. Tadakatsu and Lu Bu... Lu Bu was probably the mightier warrior, but Tadakatsu edged him out by a significant margin on brains.

PS2 games only work on 60gb PS3's
For some reason, I imagined a DW3 Hu Lao Gate like the DW7 where you gotta fight everyone of the Han including Dong Zhuo.
@MattitudeAdjustment *Defeats him in DW7*
Trophy Unlocked: Ok, you can pursue Lu bu. . .
@Poltair Sure, that would be helpful :)
In Soviet Russia, Lu Bu doesn't pursue you!
It's happier there.
@Poltair Ts'ao Ts'ao never bested any one in one on one combat, and yet look where it got him, Kongming never used a sword, and was considered the most smartest of his time, however i think Guo Jia would have given him a run for his money.
Heck yeah...Lu Bu is the greatest warrior :D So, he is God of War, you know? So yeah. :)
Now why couldd,t the koei use this song on any of lu bu battle at ho lu gate
I can link you if you want.
the ultimate fight chuck norris vs lu bu hahahahahahhaha
thats Kiyomori from warriors Orochi 2

but they had a hard time fighting lu bu at hu lao and it was all 3 brothers so Lu Bu could up there to
this shit is bomb.

Awesowe
@lolfearme Never said you did, was just giving a point that LuBu is not as grate as Koei says he is.
its good :)
bad ass of bad asses
EVER.
My disliked button was slashed by Lu Bu, and so i had to like xD
LuBu is badass but Dian Wei would Kick his ass.
Um nahhh
@Sweetbinky44 GOOD! :)
But not the same but this owns to :)
Don't pursue Lu Bu.... =D

Don't Confront LU BU!!!!!! DDD=
"Any further Lu Bu hating comments will be removed and the person will be blocked because Lu Bu is the shit"
*sigh* okay,dude or dudette,no offence,but don't ya know,that's a liiiiittle childish,ya...

:D Ftw
Welll if you can max out a characters and get 4th weapon then maybe you can turn Lu Bu into your bitch.
@TheGlock80
Isnt it a shame Cao Cao managed that JUST by flooding Xia Pi castle?

Tadakatsu Honda is better.
