Wow!!! The Osmonds were so entertaining…Jay choreographed most of their dance moves! You just don’t see talent like this anymore …And geez what an aerobic workout!!🥳
this was Jay. Jay pretty much did the Donny and Marie show choreography. The Osmond's early stuff they knew choreographers from their Andy Williams day, and for the tv stuff (like yo-yo on the Flip Wilson show, the show's choreographer did the choreography). This style of dancing was not jay's forte but more of a Michael Kidd nature (it was not Michael Kidd, but had a very Seven Brides for Seven Brothers feel). I think for the early concert years the brothers worked on the dance routines together. There were things kept from tv show choreography and things discarded. Which really is pretty smart because, at that point in their careers, they understood what worked at making them excel the way they did, and what made them a little uncomfortable and not look as good on stage.
Thank you for that information. Is there anyway you can please help me understand why the Osmond's are not in the Rock and roll hall of fame today ? id seriously appreciate anything you are able to help me understand why that is ? thank you in advance friend 😊
I don't think ANY group or singer or dancer EVER worked as hard as the Osmonds....EVER, and STILL they work even today...
Brothers always harmonize the best.
Osmonds, Jacksons, Beegees, Everly bros
Smothers Brothers... sad they didn't focus on it more
The Osmonds have the good looks, talent personality and are good people. Love this family.
THIS, KIDS, is whatcha' call REAL TALENT, REAL ENTERTAINMENT! This family is long overdue for recognition from the entertainment industry for their tremendous talent and contribution to America's musical history. And, despite the fact that Donny was deemed the so-called " superstar" of the group back in those days, it was Merrill who possessed the strongest, most unique voice and Jay who possessed the true dance prowess, and when paired with the rest of the Brothers, are just an incomparable vision to watch and listen to. They were THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Glad I was fortunate enough to have been around to witness the magic of those years.
I agree....Merrill had the best voice and probably could have been a rock star if he had gone solo. Donny was more of the heart throb of the group.
What did I just see? They are brilliant and amazing and just wow in every aspect. Top dancers, top at it all.
Multi-Talent Osmond Brothers who can choreograph synchronized dance while singing, can sing harmonious acapella, write their own songs, and played the band instruments... it is a total package deal for the Whole Family Show...
Some serious choreography! Now I know why Donny's show in Vegas is so good!
You sure know how to put a smile on this gals face. LOVE the Osmonds!!!
Merrill really did have the best rock n roll voice.
Still does! :)))
Well he does have ONE of the best voices.....
Jay almost identical
@@Lisa-lo6yc key word "almost".
Jay was the nost handsome of all the kids.
@@chainamarie03 almost is not negative though, I like his voice a lot
Yes he is truly handsome and I think really sensitive good person, best drummer ever!
Whenever I watch the Osmonds I find myself smiling with my spirits lifted. They are absolutely incredible! The joy they bring is truly something extraordinary. Thank you for posting this! (And Ann Margaret is fantastic too!)
Those harmonies on Sunshine Of My Life are incredible! The whole Osmond family is just so multi talented. I hate that they don't perform together anymore, but they deserve a break after being in show biz over 50 years!
I think it was 60 years.
@@cindyerick2968 and cc'd CCC can
Is it me or are they perfectly in sync?
Always baby!
I'm surprised that Marie isn't on there with them!
Yes perfect lipsynch. All musical artist’s lipsynched in the 70s. Remember they started off as a barbershop quartet
@@farrington7971 7:38 so was this lip sync too?? They sang live all the time …..
On the Andy Williams Show they were,” the one take Osmonds.”
What wonderful dancers and singers. I loved to see them dance. No wonder Donny won first place in dancing with the stars. Any of his brothers could have done the same.
They were so fit. All that dancing and singing. Went on and on for ages.
Their dance moves is like karate with soul
They did learn martial arts from Chuck Norris.
The Osmonds are fabulous entertainers ❣️
They could harmonize like no other group. They had that and very good looking too. I wish they could have made more records together. The Donny and Marie show put an end to that real fast. I still have all their records. I wish I could have seen them in concert.
I still have over 30 albums on dvd. I still listen to the Osmonds.
Happy to see so many shots of all of them at the same time... so we don't lose all the choreography like on other performances.
Love this one........ New Osmonds material I actually haven't seen hoorah!!!!!!
That woman was so luckyyyyyyyyy All the Osmonds singing to her!!
It seems funny now, but I got my first exposure to the Motown sound from the Osmonds.
All the Osmond Brothers. Had a real great voicees.loved them.amen.
Well, I only watched them but I am exhausted!!😄😄🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
What a family !!!!!!💞💞
Wayne and donny are my favourite 😍 ❤️
Jimmy, as a kid always annyed the hell outta me.
That screechy voice and the cheeky moves...but what a career and lovely man. I never thought I would go to a show without the 'brother blend', But my goodness I'm so glad I did. He even did a video message before one show for my sister that was snowed in and couldn't get out to see him.
@@tonycritcher3419 Jimmy? or Donny?
Jimmy never had the looks like the other siblings, but he had a good voice and apparently could dance also! And I liked him very much when I was small and same age as him.
@@mrsTraveller64 jimmy, but He grew up and I love his voice and wit. When I met him a few years ago he was great and did a video message for my family.
@@mrsTraveller64 Yep he kept his feet on the ground and gave the family the chance to perform more especially at Branson
I will always admire them for avoiding the cords so good as if they weren´t there. It is another talent between all their talent.
There wonderful 👍🎉
Merrill has the most amazing voice in the rock 'n' roll music industry. It's a pity he hasn't been recognised for his talent and he has the most underrated gift of voice. I think he should be elected to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame !!!!! Wonderful talented family both collectively and individually in their own right ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow! You Are the Sunshine of My Life has harmonies just like the Manhattan Transfer! 👏
First REAL Boy Band!!!
Well, no, first was the Beach Boys. And may be others. Male groups were common in the 50s
The osmonds are the best xoxo
I LOVE this video!!!!!!!
ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!!!!!
I loved them as a kid but I don't think I realized how truly talented they were especially jay i loved Donny as a kid but as a woman I love jay
Totally agree.
Esta presentación fue fenomenl ,bravooooo.
These guys sure could sing great harmonies
The Osmonds were really talented. Wow.
Sunshine of my life, harmony gorgeous!
I love the Osmonds, so talented and sweet. I had a huge crush on Wayne Osmond back in the 70’s ❤️✌🏻🎶
J'adore l'harmonie de leurs voix
Me too! 😊
😮 they ultimate entertainment package 👍
Can anyone please explain why the Osmond's are not in the hall of Rock & Roll ? ❤ respect for this whole family, 👏 I want to know and understand why they have not been inducted into the Rock and roll hall of fame ? I ❤ and respect the Whole Osmond family.
Same thought..but I always remind myself..they're beyond EGOT (t v..music..theathr & acting! So wholesom (+ d limits of mikes/wires!)😅🎉❤
I love all of the Osmonds.❤
Dolly Pardon is in the Hard rock Hall of fame but not the Osmonds. The record industry would not know talent if it kicked them in the teeth. It is a shame.
Reason that the Osmonds never got a fair shake in getting in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. People keep comparing them to the Jackson family. You noticed that the Jackson family kind of bailed out of the spot light. Janet and Michael were the ONLY two performing at one time. The Osmonds will never get their well deserved acknowledgement in the Kennedy Honors nor Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Osmonds outlast the Jackson family.
Such great harmony ❤️
Good old days
Wooow!!! Los amo!!❤❤❤❤❤ 🇵🇪 👏👏👏😊
I love this song from the osmond thank you for sharing if you have any more please share them I don’t care what day and time it is I stay up supper night I’m a night owl
LOVE IT!
I must have been five when I saw this show. Thanks for re crystallizing a really fond but hazy childhood memory 😀
It was great to see the first half. Thank you for posting! 😃
Alright my always "having a party" unstoppable siblings of music!🎯🎤🎶🤝🏾🌊🌅 Stay safe everyone!
WOW. The ending number is so cool. Have watched it several times and did not see any missteps. Everyone was in synch. WTG OSMONDS!!! Also, if you have not watched 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, I highly recommend it. The ending number reminds me of that Movie.
1:48 to 5:09 Wooo!!!!!
Merril is the man. Great tone and delivery.
Thanks for listening!
100% performance!!! love it
How awesome is this
I grewup in utah so went to temple sqare to enjoy great! Music
Absolutly amazing!
Wow, just wow!!
I love the choreography I wonder who did it.
Jay did.
They was great Dancer
Ellos y los bee gees...de otro mundo.
j'adoooooooooore
I love their big teeth and smile 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Love them dancing but Wayne is the best
Que bárbaros, todos sincronizados, ni uno atra s ni uno adelante. Parecen uno solo.
I challenge the boy bands of today to match these brothers
I agree!
I believe that´s impossible. They are insuperable, by far.
💙🧡🖤💚💜❤
Wow.let dance to the. Party
Wish networks would try this type of programming today.

この時代のアメリカ人に生まれたかった。日本より愛を込めて🇯🇵🩷🇺🇸
The Osmonds were really popular in Japan as well. 😊
Oh they sure had it going on even little jimmy was so good!
Love this! Was this 1974?
This reminds me of the Brady Bunch Variety Hour but with better singing. Oh the 70’s were so groovy!
I think merril is the most handsome men in the world
And talented!
I wonder what was the Temptations reaction when they sung "I Can't Get Next To You?"
I’m sure they had to get permission to put that in the medley.
They sang it at all their concerts too!!
Right😂
do u know what year this is from?
1975 I believe
Thanks for sharing just asking what year is this
Hi 1975.
@We Want The Osmonds! thank you ,they sure was busy that year .. lol 😆
1975
What year was this show made?
1975
How can they lip sync acapella?
So many T. rex
Motown ain't got nothing on the Osmonds!
I guess Marie didn’t get the memo.
they did not sing with her as a group in those days...
She had to pave her own way, which she did with "Paper Roses".
I don´t want to be rude but I prefer the group without her.
Marie had her own career in country music at this time.
Loved The Osmonds just not a fan of Jimmy that much. He looks like the kid on Two And A Half Men. Have a crush on Marie before she was famous through today. I would get 16 magazine and other mags to just get a photo of Marie just as little sister to The Osmonds not as a star yet.
He grew into really cute!!
Omg!all I can say is .. thank god we don’t have entertainment like this anymore.. this is hilarious!
Glad you stuck around long enough to watch it.
Their version of Can't get next to You is equal to The Temptations. Boy those are some ugly set pieces they have to dance in front of.
I agree with both comments. :D
