this is one of the many reasons that oakland is in ruins and all of the sports franchises have left oakland. oakland was once a strong and prosperous city and a sports haven. i was born and raised there in the 50s and 60s and this hurts me that my city has fallen from grace.

All major California cities are rampant with corruption and the state allows it to happen but this is what happens when a city falls apart this bad, they have to blame someone and they become the fall guy. I’m not invested in the case but I do want to correct that ignorant statement.
Yep, "probable cause" is a legal fiction. There are plenty of judges who sign off on whatever law enforcement want if the officers/agents aren't in bad standing. I remember the 55 or so warrants in the Jessie Smollet case. Not the best example, but they usually can get warrants by expressing mere suspicion and flimsly evidence.
This doesn't come as a surprise to me. Mayor Thao is such a failure that she lost not one, but TWO professional sports teams to Las Vegas. Lazy, crooked, apathetic, & lackadaisical.
