If you use wd 40 on microtechs, you can literally fill the handle with it, and the action will work and, in fact, works better. That being said, I'm trying out different brands despite the quality and reliability of my microtech.
haha how funny was it that he keeps up playing the manitcore, and then he has a deployment failure.... and then he says theres " a lot of play in the microtech switch." no sir, thats a built in safty feature of the knife, you have to really be dedicated to wanting to fire the knife, thats why you have to push so far on the switch. this is so there isnt accidental deployments in your pocket or whatever. next the blade steel. microtech doesnt use s30v, or s35vn as you said, they only use the top super steels, and now a days your prob only ganna find 204p, and m390; some older models may use elmax as well.
True but MT used S35v and 154 cpm as well ? Both great steels still ? Yes m390 and 204 are new steels and better than s35v ...but s35v is NO SLOUCH either.
Heretic knives are quite good and I have Microtech as well. With Microtech I’ve used some very smooth ones on display and used some that took two hands. The Manticores tend to be smoother consistently IMO. Now the Heretic Hydra is no joke bro. Hydra is a single action beast that demands a hell of a grip since it fires with an unexpected amount of force. It’s Heretics version of the Microtech Halo w a slightly different safety. One day I’ll get a Halo, and then I’ve heard that Piranha is up there too. Have u tried the Heretic Cleric, I’m thinking about picking one up
You know I like heretic. I started off buying microtech because microtech is the standard. I still like microtek but now that I have microtech, heretics and guardian tactical. I would say my ranking would be heretic/guardian tactical. Microtech is a close second.
Guardian Tactical and Heretic have the SAME DNA(Heretic = son of MT founder and Guardian Tactical ex employees) in it ... but with modern technology. Microtech is outdated. They live from the hype and from the variety.

Why would you pay the same price for the heretic ?? Wouldn’t the MT hold value much better ?
I feel the M390 steel on the MT has held an edge better but the action on the Heretic is still smoother so it is a give and take really…..
