I know medical study is hard but at the end when you treat patients with your own knowledge ,it will give you that kind of satisfaction which you never felt in your life ,keep reading and learning all the time ,i am third year med student
Loved this vlog your really amazing and really productive i love youu lydia yourrr sooo inspritional and i wish you allll the best love youuu lydia i really enjoyed your vlog ❤️❤️❤️❤️looking gorgeous like Always and your soooooooooo sweet your smile is sooo. Bright and makes my. Dayyyy
sooo i started from the first week of this degree, but my last degree i did all hand written. I think theres pros/cons to both methods - i love being able to just drag and drop diagrams onto my notes, on have the lectures slides up on the screen with my notes at the same time and change between the two, also if you make a mistake you can just delete and redraw without ruining a whole page. But then sometimes i find myself just grabbing a piece of paper to do scribbles and i still love a note book for quick notes and doodles (plus sometimes i get tired of looking at the screen). In summary: i love my ipad but sometimes all you wanna use is pen and paper :') x
How are you allowed on campus? Im a second year medical student and my whole year has been online and will be for the rest of the year. We have 6 days in June after our exams as a catch up on clinical skills and placement.
Ah I’m sorry it’s like that for you :( I think there’s a lot of variation between universities at the moment in terms of how they are organising remote and on campus learning and we seem to have been quite lucky because campus is open and our med school are now actively encouraging students to return to campus as and when they can. X
@@LydiaMartinMedic wow that's so different to my uni. 1st and 2nd years aren't allowed in at all but years 3-5 are allowed on placement just not the uni. But they have to do lateral flow tests and have had the vaccine. All our placements are online which is hard as we dont actually see patients unless they are using Hololens. We have been told it will be like this until June when we have 6 days of clinical skills and placement.
Ooooo Jane Wilkinson - she’s rounded on me with the respiratory 3 team as an inpatient a lot of times now. Very nice lady and an excellent doctor Doctors at Southampton are amazing. Hopefully when I apply to medicine Southampton snap me up (hahaha)
oh wow thats really cool! Yes i agree they are - cant wait to actually get into the hospital! Feel free to drop me a message if you ever need any application advice. x
@@LydiaMartinMedic yeah she’s a nice woman. I saw her Christmas just before the pandemic hit and She spoke to me and I was like merry Christmas then we got on about eating chocolate and she said at Christmas overindulging in chocolate is ok. So lovely paddy Dennison is lovely too such a nice do for and Tom Wilkinson was the consultant who took me on when my GP wouldn’t refer me. thank you for the offer I messaged you on IG about the shop for your stethoscope on burgess road :-)
I swear everytime i see Jack i sit upright... he gives me that stern maths teacher vibes 😂🙄 You'll so cute together if only he would smile you'll look perfect ❤ #SmileJack
ahahaha this made me laugh and ive passed on your feedback to Jack, although he does actually smile a lot in real life and definitely plays up the "grumpy maths teacher" thing for the camera 😂
all the shots facing me are front camera actually! Then the rest are back camera - I don’t really notice much difference between the two when the lighting is good 😌
Will you ever have the chance to percuss the thorax? And hopefully also the abdomen a little bit later. Given your basic feeling that your "life is pretty much the same every day" your videos always have some new elements. Kind regards from Zurich, Mainland Europe

Hey, when did you first start taking digital notes as oppose to hand written or typed and how have you found it in comparison? Love the video btw :)

Where can I buy tamra’s notes? And Jack looks like he just woke up 😂
It’s linked in the description box 😋
How long does it take you to watch a lecture and make notes on average
usually about an hour but it really depends on how complex the lecture is x

"what does ASL stand for?" my clearly clueless self went "american sign language"
what are you using to film?
just my iphone 11!
@@LydiaMartinMedic do you use your front camera too or just back camera

@@LydiaMartinMedic do u also notice that in lower exposure lighting the front cam gets blurrier?
@@lovelinds yeah I defo get that and it puts me off filming in the evenings tbh so will defo upgrade to a proper camera once I can afford it ☺️
Great video 🙌🏽
