what's the gain with this ? i read on new caprice forum that the fuel pumps are nearly identical and with a HP tuner credit you can mirror the voltage of the ZL1 pumps for the stock caprice pumps. im only chasing like 600whp in my caprice on E (stock LSA set up w/1k injectors, full exhaust) and im having a hell of a time figuring out the fuel system - what to upgrade to, what will work...etc
Yeah I realized that after I started , no real gain, I guess this is more of a video for g8 guys or for someone needing to replace a pump . Stock pump should get you pretty much there on gas my tuner said I need more fuel pump for e85 though
hi ✌🏽 sry for my bad english i am from germany and drive a 5th gen zl1 2015, now the question is this pump more powerful? what filter did you change? I would like to convert to a 2.55 pulley soon and am considering whether I should leave the original pump installed or something else, or maybe just change the filter. best regards from Germany
Hi! , thanks for the comment. original is a very good pump for most people. I would leave the pump unless you plan to tune with E85 gas. Original zl1 pump will most likely support your HP goals on regular gas. I didn’t change the gas filter yet but installed a k&n filter for the engine

Did you say you didn’t have to end up re-wiring it after all? Does the new pump have the same connection as the old one?
yeah instructions were for a g8
Did you noticed where your zl1 fuel pump was made? I got mine from summit, and on the bottom it said it was made in korea?
You know I’m not sure, I didn’t think to look, just kinda slapped it on
@@repairandsharegarage i mean as long as it works its fine, just curious, thanks.
Do you remember how many hours it was to complete the job?
not exactly , it wasnt too bad though , fixing wires takes time though
