Very Nice Knives. I own a Hinderer Fieldtac fix blade harpoon with Nitro V steel and Micarta handles. But I really like the look of the CRK fix blades.
Hey Jason, the Fieldtac is a beautiful Knife i like very much. The CRKs are wonderful made Knives with Tradition, if you like the Fieldtac you would Love the Pacific i'm Sure. In my Video about the Fieldtac you can see both knives in comparison.

Mega Video und tolles Messer! Eben hab ich mir auf der Homepage von CRK das Pacific bestellt und wegen deines Videos würde ich am liebsten noch das Green Beret dazu bestellen :D Freut mich, dass du dich so über dein Messer freust! @@kjo_edcologneHaha! Hab grad nachgesehen, 6 Jahre Lieferzeit für das Pacific. :D Jetzt weiß ich, warum das eine auf Ebay, das neu ist, doppelt so teuer ist wie im Shop bei CRK. :>
@@elg0rdo351 hab mir schon gedacht das du das evtl übersehen hast 😅.
Es dropt immer mal wieder eins, mehr als 550-600€ würde ich nicht ausgeben, du musst natürlich zum Dollar noch die Einfuhr und Versand rechnen.
Es kann sein das ich selbst eins ab gebe von meinen drei hast du denn ein bestimmtes im Sinn?

I own them both, the GREEN BERET Knife is actually called the “Yarborough” and serial numbered when issued to the graduating students of the Q Course. I prefer the Pacific the 1st SFG(A) Knife. General Yarborough was Commanding Special Forces when President John F. Kennedy awarded the Unit the Green Beret. 😉🇺🇸
Being a former member of 1SFG, our knives are serial numbered and I own a 0026. Only former group guys get the 1 SFG crossed arrows engraving. 😊

Wirklich tolle Messer 👍 Das Spartan Harsey Difensa kann ich wirklich empfehlen, ich habe die S35VN Version die neueren sind in S45VN, macht aber keinen wirklichen Unterschied. Das Difensa gehört für mich zu den schönsten taktischen Messern. Empfehlen kann ich auch das Acta Non Verba M311 Spelter und das TRC Mille Cuori sind beide absolut top. ANV produziert meiner Meinung auch einen der schönsten Dolche den M500 Anthropoid. Interessant könnte such das Fox Ryu sein, ein taktisches Messer im Tanto Stil. Wer auf "außergewöhnliches" steht, sollte sich mal das Rike F1 anschauen, liegt in verschiedenen Griffposition wirklich richtig gut in der Hand.

das so viel gelobte Difensa musste ich retournieren da es für mich unerwartet klein durch die hintere verjüngung im Griff war. Mit großen Händen keine Chance. Es gibt viele tolle Messer ohne Zweifel.

@@kjo_edcologne Der Griff vom Difensa ist von der Kontur gut ausgearbeitet, allerdings hast du schon rechte der Griff ist nicht besonders lang und wird hinten am "Knauf" breiter, was bei großen Händen dann eine unangenehm Druckstelle sein kann. Das Chris Reeves Pacific habe ich auch schon länger im Auge, nur leider ist es wenn ich schaue entweder nicht verfügbar oder der Preis ist extrem (grade im letzten Jahr gradezu explodiert).

Buck Knives put out a now discontinued identical knife, but it may have had an inferior steel, not sure, but for $99 it was a steal, now selling for $300 on eBay if LNIB.

How long did you have to wait to receive your knives?
I buy when they drop at a local Dealer. Today is it difficult to get one, a few Years back no Problem.
@@kjo_edcologne I’ve been waiting 2 years so far. I’ve been asking every year and from the answers they’re giving me. They’re getting about 4 months of orders done each year. Currently they are on February 2021 I ordered in June so I’ve got approximately one more year left haha. Now thinking about it I should’ve ordered 3 Pacific and 3 Green Beret. Just incase I want another or to sell them.
@@tuddle7174 maybe that's the Problem. if anyone order more just to sell them the others are waiting. I ordered my first CKF, an Umnanzaan at the mothership in 2017... no answer till now. in between I got 3 Umnanzaan 10 Sebs and Inkosis + 8 fixed in between. No worth waiting.
Für mich sieht es so aus, besonders bei den Nahaufnahmen, als hätte Chris Reeve bessere Qualität abgeliefert während er noch in Südafrika produzierte.

sorry für die späte Antwort dein Kommentar wurde mir auf UA-cam nicht angezeigt, habe ihn gerade erst in YT Studio entdeckt.
Ja da kann ich Dir nur zustimmen, seit Tim die Firma leitet, Chris ist ja im Ruhestand, liegt der Focus klar auf höherem Output.
Bei den Foldern merkt man es noch mehr, man kann fast sagen jeh älter jeh besser daher auch die krassen Preise für alte Modelle.

Wo kann man die denn noch bekommen? Dachte die sind vergriffen...
Knive & Tools bekommen immer mal welche rein. Das Nyala ist aus der Produktion, Green Beret und Pacific werden meines Wissens nach weiter hin produziert. Man muss halt schnell sein wie immer bei Reeve 😉

Had the 5.5 green beret. It’s an ok knife. Good looking at certain angles, ugly at most.

That's the Prices on Ebay... New they are not too expensive for their Quality, the Problem is to get one new because they are away as fast as they Drop.
