Coming from a boxer, I can say it definitely takes time to learn good form + "sit on your elbow strikes" to generate that power. Not easy as it looks.
Lies...you're just weak.

thats why us muay thai practinioners fuck up any of you boxers. ♥
One of the key advantages to elbows is that you can cage up your guard, particularly with the upwards elbow.
This is a huge advantage for beginners in a street conflict; with guard up they don't need to worry as much about evasion of their opponent's strikes in between them delivering theirs.
Perhaps a point worth focussing on
This comment was made four years ago so I apologize for the necromancy, but another thought; travel times on the elbow are faster, since it’s closer to the body, therefore it allows better leverage, a more explosive motion, and a far quicker windup to impact time. Pretty nasty when someone gets hit in the face with one of them, really happy I’ve never had to give OR receive one.
@@Duplicitousthoughtformentity The shorts A->B certainly helps.
Can’t you accidentally kill someone like this if you aren’t careful?
@@ELISHACAEZ Anything hit in the jaw~neck area can potentially kill someone, so yeah...
Plus an elbow strike is 10 times harder the a fist strike

I learned how to fight with my elbow in 8 minutes
Yeah, ok pal
Elbows is like poker : learn in five minutes, but a life to understand all subtilities:)
Lmfao. Learning to actually fight with elbows is measured in scars and concussions, not in minutes. If you'd truly learned, you'd have experienced that, and wouldn't be talking such nonsense.
Thank you so much.I can’t train with my master now so I must train myself. This is really helpful.
Elbows can come from the side, upwards, to attack a target behind and from the side. And compliment a punch afterwards.
Honestly. . . . . . Best video for women. We don't have a lot of fist strength. . . .
This opens so much for us!!!!
Many thanks🙏💓

Nice techniques. Short and sweet!
100% GG super!!!
Uses a very advanced technique and precision! He is definitely a pro!
Thanks for the elbow Tips
An effective maneuver would be to cut and then bring your same arm back to use your fist. This uses speed and reflexes to get the most of your arm.
This should leave your opponent wide open, as well as you so move quickly.
Nice close quarter melee lots of power in the elbows
Great Video...
They will cover close quarter combat class will consist of five strikes with the elbow and three stripes with the knee we're working on vertical horizontal and diagonal angles over the guard into the eye cut
Damn i got a mean hook on my elbow the first strike you showed is a little overpowered for people with my build
Superb, boxing is awesome
does it help to cup your hands together to gain more power?
you have some basics, but honestly not enough.. use more hip & shoulder rotation. It wouldn't hurt to penetrate more into the target, but you would have to have a better hold on the strike pad. A little more bend in the knees wouldn't hurt.
*punches* "SSHHH"
muay thai have many technique use elbows , knee and kick
That first one is more of a forearm strike. I doubt it’s effectiveness.
I think I've seen tony Ferguson use it in a fight actually 🤔 could be wrong tho
I know right
It's legit HAHAHA
Its a very popular muay thai strike it cathes u off guard cuz u dont expect and it usually leads to ko cuz of the suprise
Its a beautoful strike. Its a jab in the inside.
thank you for puttin effort in it
I love elbow attacks,
Watch Anderson Silvia striking for MMA video on UA-cam
Nice 6th elbow strike should be to the side.
Good instructor!
Buuuhahahahahahahahahaa. Hilarious that is.
we use the elbow strikes in ju jutsu too
Helpful info. Nothing there would get anyone hurt if they attempted it in a street fight as a method of defense.
man ill never use this information but its interesting
graet
love u for ur teaching sir
When I throw elbows I'm aiming to open up a cut and end the fight
Use more legs, hip and core
👍👍👍👍
I shattered the tip of elbow in a street fight bout 10 years ago. When ever I feel my elbow it feels like a bag of crunchy sand
I really doubt that, like did the doctors decide to just let you elbow be shattered and not put it in a cast or something? Also how did just the tip of your elbow break? It's apart of your arm bone.
How?
@@liamwebster6528 happens all the time actually. Street fighting as an untrained person is quite unhealthy for your body and should be avoided.
Conditioning the joints and bones to be denser and the angles to be correct is very important, it usually takes years training before someone throws an unprotected elbow at another persons face in a competition.
Under-training, bad luck on the angle or both lead to a lot of fighters getting elbow, shin or knee fractures and breaks. Very common to see in kickboxing amateur/semi-pro matches.
Bones are hard, but they are also quite brittle.
Better than the thin brittle finger bones and tendons in the fist; so they beat the risk bare-knuckle fighting has on your hands. Tendons in your hands and the bones grinding down is harder to fix than shin or elbow fractures.
@@donkeytwoddle is that really dangerous to knee strike someone in the head? I want to knee strike someone once, do you think my bones would break for doing it once or twice?
@@MrAulzzzit is a chance.
Still less risky than a powerful bare-fist punch.

Let's hope he doesn't slip on those pants LOL
I just fart my way out of (gun/knife) attacks. I call it the back hole dragon wind technique and it has never failled me. It is so power full and devestating that some times even innocent by standers get hit and injured by it.
why does this sound like something moist critical would say😂
ELBOW STRIKES ARE AWESOME!

This elbow strickes are very strong strickes
Prefer the Baji elbow style for me.
There is a big difference between theory and practice because when you facing a bad boy on the street, it is not what you think🤣🤣🤣
based on thumbnail I thought it was Lomachenko lol
im here because of vasco of lookism
Practice and then practice some more
The technique on the straight elbow is wrong, you shouldn't be striking with the whole forearm like that instead you should be using the area much closer to the joint. Also on the cross elbow it's better to keep your hand closer to your face rather than going all the way across as it gives you more protection
Now hang on. We all know that the overhand elbow is only effective if you pat it with the other hand first. Randy Savage taught us that.

😋
Why do you not raise you guard to throw an elbow?
Muay thai
It is dangerous and wrong to teach improper techniques, anyone here that wants to learn elbows watch a Muay Thai instructional
you do not need a muay thai instruction. learn it by practcing and you will know howto strike with an elbow without copycutting elbow strike techniques of others,
Haha yeh this dude is lame as
learn about kun khmer elbow is better

Develop peace and Harmony but this is used in a self-defense situation on the street when attacked you have no other choice this is offers you the best defense and the street situation especially if you're a woman an elbow or a knee is very decisive it can really stop a fight in its Bud plus the ability for women to kick he's in neutralized what men can do so this could be a great weapons to be used for women in Street fence not only men this is a big neutralizer if you don't see it coming you won't be able to block it
That’s gonna be painful doing that attack lol
Just watch muay thai basics
*when u watch too many tony jaa*
Biggest dumb comment I have ever seen
Take it from a dude that uses elbows often in fights......this ain't it guys😭
So like, is his technique wrong or something?
In so many ways mate. His straight elbow has no power to it....
Real life story a couple years ago I broke my hand. So I’m at a family tire shop getting my tires changed when the mechanic sees me practicing my kicks in the tires while I’m waiting for him to finish changing my tire. He said “ you ain’t got nothing kid lemme see something”
Cast on my right hand to forearm and all I elbowed that one tired so hard it sent a chain effect and knocked every tire down in sight. Wasn’t a fun clean up job😔😔
Just saying bro his use of his elbows disgusts me😭
I think his form on the elbow is good, I think it’s his footwork that makes him have less power
@@thelegendarykujofinesse6993 no disrespect intended, I can tell from your comment you’re not a fighter. Like you said his footwork gives him no power; plus his elbow strikes are extremely telegraphed. This dude fighting anyone with basic fighting skills is gonna time that elbow and lay him out
@@Craccockahine but your elbow worked on some tire 🤣
this is a pretty bad tutorial. you can see from the way he explains the clinch he doesn't know what he's talking about
Dude u have thin wrists

Not ok...goo simple
last resort is using a gun. Elbowing and tripping someone and saying something to disarm their anger would be, lets say 3rd.
*Nah, dat ain't it...*
the elbow should be coming in at arcs and not the vulnerable aspect of the elbow or you're gonna injure yourself. Theres a sweet spot and when you find it it's an ahh ha moment. the way this guy is teaching it is wrong in my opinion. it's slow and the range is predictable, most fights end quickly so your choice of strike or defense better be good and that elbow"jab" as he called it isn't gonna cut it. the technique should be like a mid/short range hook and uppercut like strikes, it efficiently defends as you strike at close range. And the motion should be fluid with response muscle fire ready for the next move. This dude is stiff with zero bounce in his step.
You put so much focus on the attack that you forget your defense. Go back to practice basic drills and MASTER them before you start acting as a teacher.
The first one. Is a stupid technique
He just did it wrong. For some reason he decided to hit with his forearm instead of his elbow.
Najgorszy cios łokciem... skośny z góry ... nikdy nie dostałem w ten sposob ...ale zawsze starczył Mi ten jeden a po bajce ..a loket do ledu TWL
Garbage video sorry. Most of these are thrown improperly Absolutely No defense. You open yourself up with every strike.
