And I dont want to hear about Canelo's diet. He came into the fight underestimating Bivol... In interviews before the fight he was already talking about other opponents. Canelo is an all time great fighter, but he came into this fight vs Bivol underprepared and got thumped. Hope he bounces back from this, im sure he will.
they're the same age, but alvarez came out looking 15 years older. he's so tough he couldn't be stopped, but there were times he literally couldn't do anything except take the shots
Canelo fell in love with his power. Didn’t use his head movement or footwork, didn’t counter punch, didn’t adapt and got matador’d all night. It was a bad game plan on his part.
@@axelfoley1812 It’s not just that. When a guys guard is tight like that you have to punch with them and take risks to shift the momentum. He didn’t take any chances cause he thought he could walk him down and knock him out. He fought Bivols fight. He’s more than capable of taking a different approach which we will see if the rematch happens.
People not giving bivol his credit. Bivol has great hand speed. Moves his feet good for a guy his size. He's always under control. His defense was solid. People act like canelo has just changed as a fighter. He does the same thing he did 10 years ago. He just fighting bigger guys now. And he ran into a big guy that happens to be skilled.
Yea that’s what I was gonna say I’m pretty sure he used to fight at 147 professionally. You keep moving up in weight eventually ur gonna get beat by someone. Floyd and manny I want to say have seven different weight class belts
Lol I have to disagree saying Canelo is the same guy he was 10 yrs ago....after the floyd fight his head movement and counter punching improved significantly. I will agree that Bivol deserves more credit he's a legit light heavy weight with great speed and boxing skills!
People don't realize how hard it is to move up and win. It's one of the most impressive things you can do as a boxer. Especially against the best of the best.
man yall certainly didn't have the same attitude before the fight look at the betting odds yall scoffed at the idea of Bivol winning probably because you didn't even know who the guy even was or his abilities in that ring ... Canelo can beat plenty of fighters at 175 just not Bivol apparently and lucky for him he even got Bivol if the fans really got what they wanted Beterbiev would have put his ass on the canvas
Canelo in his last few fights has stopped using his elite head movement and speed and started just walking down opponents with his guard up and hoping to break them down eventually. But that strategy showed its limitations against opponents that are too big and also happen to be elite boxers technically.
You sure it wasn't the extra weight he put on? It is not easy jumping 4 divisions from where you normally fight, and still having that top notch head movement, you gotta distribute your energy and can't waste it on head movement would be my guess..
Canelo doesn’t use his tactics and style to “hope” to break opponents down. He knows it will break them down that’s supreme confidence in his ability. Unfortunately he overestimated his power and abilities while going up to light heavyweight against a natural light heavyweight that happens to be an elite boxer.
Canelo’s biggest mistake as well as his whole camp is that, the underestimated Dimitry Bivol’s caliber of boxing. Not only is he crazy combination of elite speed and power, every time that man gets in the ring, he puts on a clinic.
@@kingadri9 Remember that boxing is a business. Canelo and his team believed they would beat Bivol easier than the other belt holders. Think before you talk.
@@kingadri9 They did. Eddie Reynoso literally said that they lost a fight that they should have won. I mean, really? They already had difficulty against Lara, Jacobs, and GGG. Guys that are not flashy with solid fundamentals. And they're fighting a bigger guy, arguably a better technician too, and they said they should have won? Jeez. Btw, thanks Eddie Hearn for making this fight. We will never see how good Bivol is if Canelo is still under Oscar.
I think reason why canelo lost was because of his new diet his focus on golf more then boxing and his way of fighting style changed but that’s my opinion your welcome to say something else idk that’s my opinion
@@gungrave10 eddie hearn has also said that canelo fought bivol because he thought he would won. there is very strategic cherry picking going on behind the scenes that people aren't seeing. now canelo wants to fight john ryder even though people are asking him to fight benavidez, charlo, etc.
People overlooking Bivols handspeed. This was a big factor in the fight and enabled him to get those 3-4 punch combos off and stop Canelo in his tracks
Yeah moving up weight has a big factor in a fighter, specially by doing so and not taking a tune up fight to get climates to the new weight, Canelo by the 6th round was gassed out, while Bivol who’s been a career 175 pounder has had all the time to have enough gas in the tank to carry him strong all 12 rounds. But Canelo bit off more than he could chew, meanwhile a bunch of hater channels here on UA-cam was already calling Bivol the next cherry pick, yet I don’t see any of their favorite fighters in any rush to go to 175 and challenge Bivol there now.
The hand speed plus reach and overall power, dudes has to put much more effort to hit with the same capacity, bivol is able to jus shoot those shots off at whim while still keeping the length and his footwork is a A- at worst, I don't see the rematch going canelos way
Canelo is now Mayweather of modern boxing. He will always get decisions when the fight is close. If it’s not and he’s losing they’ll score where he barely loses
@@chavinho7793 no, bivol is a small light heavyweight, you must have forgot that before the Caleb plant undisputed, bivol was the second option for Canelo, and they were going to meet at a catchweight under the light heavyweight limit, bivol offered Canelo the rematch at super middleweight for the belts, and Canelo didn’t want the smoke, Canelo knows he would lose the belts at super middleweight vs bivol again.
Gotta Respect Canelo Regardless.. he ain't scared to Jump Weight Classes, and he damn sure ain't afraid to take an "L" in exchange for the Glory of winning a New Belt!!!! Living Legend, one of the Greatest Ever 🥊💪🥊
I disagree, I think he has the potential. He just needs to lose the ego, in my opinion he got too used to hearing his people scream his name and never disappointing. I can’t imagine going vegan helped, but at the end of the day we’ll find out in the rematch.
Usyk would walk through Canelo's punches and batter the shit out of him, but there were loads of Canelo fans saying that he would beat him. They think Usyk is small because he was cruiserweight, but they forget he is the same height and reach as Ali, and heavier than Ali. He's bigger than Tyson and Holyfield.
So was Mike Tyson nobody seen this coming. Remember when everyone was claiming Bivol was a cherry pick? Canelo wil come back better and fight everyone he’s supposably ducking in his weight class and all the black racist canelo haters will be mad af
@@mycrazylife408 this was not some fluke loss. Anyone who actually followed the sport closely and knew who Bivol was knew this would be a difficult fight for Canelo and many (myself included) thought Bivol would win. The only surprise was how badly Bivol mopped the floor with him. The only people calling Bivol a cherry pick were casuals who only see knockouts and assumed Beterbiev was the real 175 kingpin
@@YA-wr5wd So since you follow the sport to you actually think canelo is ducking benevidez and charlo and if he fought either do you actually think he’d lose? I can’t see him losing to either especially after his experience he gained in this fight.
It was a boxing masterclass for Bivol, reminded me of Naseem v Barrera. He did the simple things very well. Definitely made good use of the extra size, and was able to get his arm smashed to pieces but kept his guard. Great performance. Hope he starts to get paid now.
And the difference in natural size and power was obvious. He had to expend minimal effort to cause the same effect of punishment in his punches compared to what Canelo was forced to do. When his exceptional hand speed for his size is matched with that power it results in the dominance we saw in that fight. I doubt Canelo will seek out that rematch. I can’t imagine it going drastically different next time.
Completely agree. Boxing is consistent pressure, footwork, accuracy, leading with the jab, hands up constantly - and do that for 12 rounds - and be excellent the whole time. Being a winner in boxing is being excellent at the basics ALL THE TiME. I thought canelo was drawing him in so he’d open up like he did will Billy J but Bivol is a different level. Looking forward to his next fight - hopefully his promoters get him the right fights !
Canelo in that fight reminded me of the anime hajime no ippo, after ippo becomes champion and becomes reliant on his power alone until he lost, he got stopped because of this became too confident on power alone and neglected all the other things that made him as good as he was

Yes, he did believed too much in his power. But it's not like he doesn't try his best. This is the usual Canelo we had seen, it just that Bivol doesn't bite. Tried to destroy Bivol arms, doesn't work. Tried to trap him with his usual. Peekabo stance, Bivol jab and push him away. Tried to invite Bivol to play at the rope, Bivol doesn't play as much as Canelo wants too. Tried to go inside. Get countered clean everytime he finished combo. Canelo did believed his power too much. But he did brings a lot of his arsenal into the fight. Bivol just better that day
In one of the last rounds Eddie Reynoso, Canelo’s trainer, asked him how he was feeling. Canelo responded he was feeling really tired. I think 175lbs is too much weight for Canelo. He should stay at 168lbs and below
@@pugilist102 Canelo was exhausted by the 9th round. Fighting at 175lbs was too much weight for him to handle. If Bivol is as good as people say he is let him drop down to 168lbs or 160lbs and fight Canelo at that weight
@@richietavarez1200 dropping that far below your natural weight class is risky as heck. Bivol would have to cut massively and probably dehydrate himself to make weight. Bivol is a big guy.
Nothing to do with diet. Canelo was outboxed and out thought not out muscled. Clinches were almost absent and leaning nowhere to be seen. Bivol's footwork exposed Canelo and he had to resort to rope tactics to try and lure Bivol in for the counterpunch KO. Bivol was too smart and Canelo got frustrated. Canelo is a great fighter but, as many people have pointed out, he's limited. he didn't know what to do against Bivol.
@@drdoom386 canelo has great upper body movement from the waist......but his feet are VERY flat and his legs are not fast at all, canelo walks through sand and bivol glides on ice......

As a Canelo fan I will be signing him up for a life supply of steaks 🥩 from Angus 😂 …. Who the Hell has a big fight and decides to go eat weeds and tofu 🤣🤣🤣🤣
lmfao dude literally went vegan and moved up on a weight class? who the fuck does that? no wonder bivol knocked canelo around the ring. coming from a huge canelo fan too.
I only started watching Bivol after Canelo, but man his other fights were waaaaay harder than vs Canelo. Bivol fought guys bigger than him and dimantled them. A small guy like Canelo has no hope of hurting Bivol vegan or not. Canelo gonna get KO'd in a rematch if Bivol wants the belts enough.
Why Bivol couldn’t KO Canelo? It shouldn’t had been a problem since canelo is smaller and Bivol is on his weight. Bivol ducked the rematch and no one said a thing. Not hating on Bivol, just pointing out the double standards
True but Bivol has changed his approach. All his KO's (11 if I remember) were earlier on in his pro career. He can hit hard. Some of the fights were absolute dust-ups against bigger, more powerful men than Canelo. Bivol now uses footwork and immaculate distance to out box opponents. That jab is world class.
@@X3MAntics Better as in ability. Bivol has faster hands, faster feet, much more educated footwork, extremely sharp counters (which he didn't even show against Canelo), genius at manipulating distance, insane cardio, great defense and an elite Jab.
@@architchaudhary1285 He's really not that much better. You're talking as though a man in one weight class who has never left it is better than a man who has won in multiple weight divisions. Most boxers start and end their careers in one weight division. Canelo just finally pushed it too far and lost the speed and nuance that comes with a lighter, more natural body weight. Canelo is without doubt the greatest boxer in the world at the current moment.
Canelo could have eaten an entire bison before the fight and he still would have lost. Ward called it over a year ago, he said don't fight Bivol. Tim Bradley said it was a bad match up. RJJ said it. The fight had nothing to do with food. It was about the man he fought.
Canelo's problem wasn't his diet, it was facing a longer bigger man who is a very good technical boxer. Bivol's jab controlled the whole fight, it was lightning quick and set the range for his right cross perfectly. Plus canelo didn't have his special Mexican beef.

My only issue with people is the excuses for Canelo post fight. His game plan weight diet juice ECT didn't diminish his boxing abilities that are second nature for him at this juncture of his long & illustrious career. The better boxer won from round one through twelve. He tried from the outside to the center of the ring to land scoring blows & counter punches all night. He was outboxed in every facet of the game imaginable. Footwork combinations accuracy jabbing distance management level changes feinting movement ring IQ speed changes counter punching TIMING even the exchanges while inside fighting Canelo was clearly frustrated all night. Defensively he was outclassed as well Bivol's guard is beautiful and his consistency is impeccable I'm shocked that most people thought Canelo would actually stop him no one gave him a chance. Canelo is an incredible boxer but let's be honest I've not seen Canelo get outclassed that badly since Erislandy Lara was robbed. Weight is not in any way a valid excuse especially given the fact that Bivol can easily make 168 & is currently trying to go down to take his belts. He's a small man for his weight class. Canelo was simply outsmarted & outboxed. I couldn't even give him two rounds (rewatched the fight twice now) which is astonishing. The judges were looking to rob Bivol from the outset perusal but they couldn't. If they rematch you'll see the same thing except I assume Canelo will approach the fight with more offensive aggression & get eventually get stopped at any weight they decide to fight at.
Reminds me of high school wrestling when I was 132 lbs wrestling and cutting to 119 because we had another state ranked guy at like 127 lbs or whatever it was. I was good but miserable. I cut so much weight id swear id see floor tiles moving around and shifting on me like I was hallucinating. The couple times I went up a weight and wrestled 135 lbs instead I was free and happy and went 6-1 that year that an upper weight. Going up might make you feel more healthy- but you have to wrestle all the desperate guys coming down from 140+ to get it. I look back on it now as a 31 year old and still can't believe I wrestled like that regularly- wrestling a 16 lbs spread.
@@kgmanio7786 he wasn't vegan when he fought Kovalev. He goes vegan for this fight, looked like trash, and gassed in the fifth round.... is canelo going to win the rematch? no, probably not. but I'd like to see him actually have the tank to go 12 rounds and he can't do that on a vegan diet.
As a Canelo fan I understand wanting to be remembered for having multiple belts at different weight classes, but you must know that sooner or later you’ll run into a bigger guy who has actual skills, Canelo was outboxed from the start. Never had a chance.
He should’ve trained harder and maintained his aggressive style he drops his hands a lot more than he should’ve . Bivol for sure maintained discipline and took Canelo way more seriously than Canelo took him
There is nothing belittling about saying that it was the weight that got Bivol the win. That’s just a fact. It wasn’t Bivol’s skill that was just flustering Canelo. It was that Canelo was swinging with heat and Bivol laughed it off.
Even though Canelo lost, he should be respected for challenging himself and taking very tough fights instead of taking easy fights at his comfortable weight.
We need to remember that at 36 yo, Kovalev had a difficult fight vs Anthony Yarde just two and a half months before Canelo's fight. Well rested, it would've been a different fight, although Kovalev agreed to fight within that timeframe, so it's all good.
Canelo’s game plan was just horrible. He got over his head and thought his power would be enough. He didn’t even work the body or throw many faints or not much combinations. 🤦🏻♂️ Hope he learns & comes back stronger 💪🏻
168 to 175 is a big jump. Good on canelo for challenging himself but if you ever seen 1lb of meat it’s huge, now imagine 7 pounds, that’s a lot of extra power that bivol knows how to use
It's not only a seven pound jump, fighters walk around much heavier than their weigh in weight. Canelo probably got to 185 at most, Bivol probably walks around 195 naturally
Joe, I remember your days as "Frank" on Hardball, and Joe G on NewsRadio. Whatever you do you do it well, just like your UFC commentating, You are always UNBIASED AND HONEST.
Canelo just didn't respect him. He went looking for the knockout through body shots and combos and didn't box. Didn't use his jab. You need to use your skill and movement to beat the bigger man. Not walk through him.

The fact that it was nearly called a draw was embarrassing…Bicol dominated. Canelo also lost the first GGG fight though that was legitimately close. Alvarez is great enough. He doesn’t need a phony 2-3 round advantage which requires opponents to win 8-9 rounds clearly to have a chance at the decision.

If these guys are not elite athletes then I don't know who is. I am not advocating a vegan diet for an athletic performance boost I was just really surprised by that statement.
Canelo thought he was going to bebable to eventually walk down Bivol and break him apart like his last 15 fights. Problem is Bivol was easily 190 on fight night and Canelo underestimated Bivols power and skill set. The first few rounds Canelo was being Canelo. After the 4th it was clear Canelo knew this was going to be a long hard night. The rematch may be different but Canelo and his team will have to make a completely different game plan.
Canelo's loss had nothing to do with diet and everything to do with style, gameplan, and the limitations of his own body. It's been covered up a bit by how average his competition has been at 168, but Canelo's gas tank and footwork have been really weighed down by fighting at higher weight classes. He just can't keep his style up for 12 straight rounds, and when you are fighting a guy like Bivol, someone who actually has decent power and a well rounded skillset, Canelo just doesn't have the ability to deal with them like he would at 160. He gasses too hard and since his power is less based on natural ability and more based on his skills, timing and leverage, he really has to bank on lining up a perfect punch or catching someone on a counter. That's much easier to do with guys like BJS and Plant, who don't have near the offensive skillset that Bivol does
Idk but if a rematch happens, Bivol will still win.... I mean.. look at those eyes, very sharp and focus.. that's why he's undefeated. If he develops that punching power he will be too much to handle IMO.
Diet and size had NOTHING to do with Canelo not being able to figure out and do anything against Bivol's gameplan. He thought he was just going to go in there and knock him out and kept looking like a deer in headlights when Bivol kept shedding away his punches
If you think size and diet/stamina didnt play effect ur dumb asf. Bivol boxed great don’t get me wrong but bivol had a big physical advantage over canelo
Size has alot to do with it, it literally affects your gameplan. You wouldn’t go into a fight with the same gameplan on a smaller but maybe faster opponent right ?
nah size absolutely mattered. you could CLEARLY see canelo was slower and more exhausted than hes ever been in his career. he went from "canelo" to just another fighter without his speed and endurance, caused by the extra weight
Prime canelo lost? I thought he said nobody can beat him in his prime? And everybody makes an excuse that 175 is too much for him? It's not his first fight at 175 it's just he lost and got outboxed by a superior fighter not a weight issue but styles makes fights.
Bivol really shed light on Canelo’s stamina. He throws so heavy that he fades by the 7th-8th round. I hope he gets back to setting up his power punches instead of continuing to be the gunslinger he has become.
true but 57-3 is still a great record. personally his style is what makes him one of my favorites, as and argentinean i only wish he would have fought chino maidana; woulda been a bloodfest.

Canelo is hitting the upper level of what his frame can hold and still retain his speed and cardio,
Canelo just unified an entire division that wasn’t his, then went all the way up to fight the #1 Undefeated Prime Light Heavyweight Champion, while other Boxers still refuse too fight the best in their own division.

I agree with you, I was hoping for a little more nuance from this clip lol. At no point did Canelo look to tired to execute, Bivol just didn’t give him any opportunity.
Bivol has over 200 amateur fights. He's a boxing machine with amazing technique and fantastic combos.
And I dont want to hear about Canelo's diet. He came into the fight underestimating Bivol... In interviews before the fight he was already talking about other opponents. Canelo is an all time great fighter, but he came into this fight vs Bivol underprepared and got thumped.

Nah bivol just figured him out
Canelo tried the fancy head movement but bivol kept catching him clean
@@MrGhosTRideRrR This is not the first time he fights at 175. He fought Kovalev at that class and won. No problems then…
Canelo doesn’t use his tactics and style to “hope” to break opponents down. He knows it will break them down that’s supreme confidence in his ability. Unfortunately he overestimated his power and abilities while going up to light heavyweight against a natural light heavyweight that happens to be an elite boxer.
Canelo tried to be slick but Bivol caught onto his game. Canelo struggles against boxers with elite jabs (look at GGG 1)
Canelo’s biggest mistake as well as his whole camp is that, the underestimated Dimitry Bivol’s caliber of boxing. Not only is he crazy combination of elite speed and power, every time that man gets in the ring, he puts on a clinic.
he never underestimated him, he chose to fight him solely for the reason because they believe that bivol is the 175er.
@@kingadri9 Remember that boxing is a business. Canelo and his team believed they would beat Bivol easier than the other belt holders. Think before you talk.

Man quit deluding yourself. Bivol is simply the better boxer. He's everything Canelo struggles with. Even with everything in his advantage, Canelo still couldn't beat Bivol.
Much RESPECT to Canelo man! You have to take Risk to be great in life 💯🥊🥊
Risk, Canelo thought it was another cherry pick. Lol At no time the clenbuteral camp saw this coming. Jajajajajajaja

Even if Canelo was eating steak burritos all day he would have lost anyways. Bivol just outclassed him in every category - distance, timing, power, leg movement.
only watched the highlights, but bivol's hand speed is very impressive
The fact that it was nearly called a draw was embarrassing…Bicol dominated. Canelo also lost the first GGG fight though that was legitimately close. Alvarez is great enough. He doesn’t need a phony 2-3 round advantage which requires opponents to win 8-9 rounds clearly to have a chance at the decision.
GGG will need a knockout to beat him this go round. I feel the same for Bivol. They're gonna do everything in their power to give Canelo the W. They can't afford to have him losing twice in a row.
@@crharper25 yes, just like they did with floyd, floyd clearly lost that castillo fight.
Don't forget one judge scored Mayweather vs Canelo a draw. Same judge that gave canelo 10 rounds against GGG 1

Interesting discussion as always with Joe who knows how to convey a balanced and reasonable point of view in such an effective way. I was very surprised to hear him say that he doesn't know any athlete at elite level who are vegans though.
What about the Diaz brothers, Lewis Hamilton, Novak Djokovic and so on ?! If these guys are not elite athletes then I don't know who is. I am not advocating a vegan diet for an athletic performance boost I was just really surprised by that statement.
And Hamilton is suffering already.
Djokovics level of play went up considerably after making the change of diet
Williams sister too: definitely wouldn’t call them elite athletes ;).
Joe you should bring Bivol to the podcast, helluva fighter, defensive master needs more exposure
Fair play to canelo for trying ,when this fight was made I thought bivol is no joke
The rematch may be different but Canelo and his team will have to make a completely different game plan.
canelo will lose a rematch let be honest. he met his match, he dared to be great and move up but there is a reason there are weight categories.
He seemed very frustrated about that and also that Bivol didn’t want a rematch
He had me at you gotta have a steak in you. lmfao!!!!!
I *Thanks for watching Download app & message right away I will love to hear your thoughts on it and for more enlightenment☝️❤️*****
It's amazing, it's made boxing more interesting. I wanna see Canelo win a rematch against him but its gonna be difficult.
i agree he definitely can but not how he trained or dieted on the first fight he looked tired and flattened...
Screw the rematch Benavidez or Charlo is where it's at
Canelo was beaten another 3 times that I know about. But he Canelo got the decisions !!!!! Very strange.
That's much easier to do with guys like BJS and Plant, who don't have near the offensive skillset that Bivol does
Yeah, Joe and beard guy just want to justify their lifestyles lol
Respectfully...I thought Canelo gassed in the first GGG fight...
Plus, Canelo had to be missing the PEDs from the Mexican meat???
Tldr
Calm down professor
Excellent Fundamentals, execution and size. Recipe for giving out Ls
Are you silly? They traded punches the whole fight.
It came down to a coin toss

Prime canelo lost? I thought he said nobody can beat him in his prime? And everybody makes an excuse that 175 is too much for him? It's not his first fight at 175 it's just he lost and got outboxed by a superior fighter not a weight issue but styles makes fights.
He gets that biden treatment. Excuses all day everyday.
Bivol really shed light on Canelo’s stamina. He throws so heavy that he fades by the 7th-8th round. I hope he gets back to setting up his power punches instead of continuing to be the gunslinger he has become.
He lost too GGG, Adelaide Byrd score card is the only reason his record is what it is
Its all a matter of different opinions
Lost to Lara too.
true but 57-3 is still a great record. personally his style is what makes him one of my favorites, as and argentinean i only wish he would have fought chino maidana; woulda been a bloodfest.
Haha Joe almost called Game Changers bullish!t but chickened out. 😂
Didn't he have a debate with the director of the film?
@@sportingminds3311 he did its like he forgot lol at the beginning of the interview it was a 2 on 1 with joe taking the side of the guy who “debunked” the movie then after the director was absolutely demolishing every agrument he had then joe started simmering down lmao it was hilarious that was a great episode.
@@WhoudiniDaGOD Interesting I kind of saw it the other way around. The guy who debunked game changers understands scientific/medical research way more than that director which was extremely apparent to me being in the medical field and doing research myself. However the Director did bring up a lot of good points to things that that guy had said and that guy basically said they were good points and admitted that. But most of those things were pretty minor semantics.
Alex honald is probably one of the very few who does it, and his eating schedule is crazy to make it work.
Bivol was very comfortable in that fight... He was going through the gears as it went on
If you look at compubox stats bivol won all 12 rounds, if you give canela 1-4 rounds or even a 1 round draw that's still a robbery
Pretty sure Djokovic is vegan now. Has been Gluten free for years.
However, Canelo didn't lose due to a diet 😂. He lost due to struggling against a very good technical boxer with enough pop on his punches. Rematch goes the same way at 175 or 168 unless Canelo pays the judges even more this time 😉
He's not vegan, he said it himself he mostly eats plant based foods along with some fish.
He doesn't even like to be labeled a vegan.
Search for texts or interviews with Novak on this subject.
djokovic is on drugs tho

I weigh 183lbs and I have weigh 168lbs with the same levels of body fat and exercise routine. I am faster and much stronger at 183lbs at 6'. There is a point of diminishing returns where too much weight starts to slow you and take the snap off your punches. For a guy Bivols size I would expect a lot of speed at power if he weighed 180-185 lbs on fight night. Canelo is hitting the upper level of what his frame can hold and still retain his speed and cardio,
He has also been holding his body back for years to make specific weights, stressing his body for years.
