One analog horror that came to mind is The Tangi Virus. I always have a fear of germs, parasites and losing control of yourself from a bio-attack. Vintage Eight also produced other analog horror based stuff that I think it worth a watch. I haven't seen any of it, but from what I read the concept was terrifying to me. There was also a short film called "This House Has People in It", which isn't quite analog, but the way it was set up makes it a part of the "found footage" series. Though you might want to be vary that it was produced by [adult swim], so there might be potential copyright issues.
I'm very happy to see that you enjoyed Greylock! For some suggestions for future analog horrors to watch, I'd recommend Vita Carnis, Angel Hare, and Midwest Angelica.

Tape 1's appeal to me is basically how it provides an in-universe take on the descriptions at the start of some analog horror series, which usually acknowledge the tapes. Also, Unit 13 and Project Stargate were both set up by the government in real life, which thankfully didn't lead to anything crazy like what happened with the SimioDyn partnership. They were trying to harbor psychic and cognitive abilities, so Greylock's inclusion of them definitely feels fitting.

Please watch the Children under the House. I know it’s not what you look for, as it never directly shows anything, but the implications and depictions shown are great. Very happy that you got to experience Greylock! One thing I do want to point out in case you didn't realize after the stream is that Unit 13 was *constructed* by the Morelli company, and not dug up like you mentioned before. Which means that weird things were happening before the Thoughtform Manifester even existed, _(although SimioDyn was messing around with Thoughtforms WAY before the Thoughtform Manifester)._ Other than that, an analog horror I would recommend is The Oldest View. It is made by Kane Carter (the backrooms person) and the content is directly based off of IRL places, things, and events in a way where you can find videos of the IRL stuff that look just like the analog horror. I won't specify the IRL things here to avoid spoilers, but think that you would enjoy it!

Tiffany's age when she died keeps changing throughout the story for some reason? First, it says she's 29. Then it says she was 26 in that photo of her & Alex. And then in Tape 10, it says she was 28, then it glitches the doctor's voice to say 29 & 25. Hmm, what's going on here? 🤔
As everyone been saying vita carnis is a must withing the ones there are. I pesonally would love to see you react to the oldest view but its also a way closer to the first backroom videos in how it feels. A person controlling a camera insted of a tipe of transmission or broadcast
I haven't seen or heard anyone say this except for one so, I think it's fairly obvious that the miners were set up by Frank Porter, right? The hint to this is that they weren't able to call anyone else but the answering machine that directly connects to Frank. So, yeah, the miners were unknowing labrats of Unit 13/SimioDyn. They sent them there not only just to dig up the tunnel but to see what happens to them when they interact with or are in proximity to the tunnels. I just wanted to say this so that we are all in agreement on this. If you disagree, I don't mind.
This series surprised me, it has a weak but then after a while it's like they went; "Oh, I know what to do to make it scary now." and figured it the f#@& out! Goes to show that anyone can make something good through some trial and error.
It's unrelated to horror but berserk has a chapter (that isn't cannon anymore) but still an interesting idea that God or "the idea of evil" was created by the collective unconsciousness of humanity. Humanity so desperately needed a reason for all the suffering and evil in the world that Humanity created God to make suffering happen so it's not all meaningless suffering. Not cannon anymore but still a relevant cool idea
Now THIS is an amazing Analog Horror series! My reccomendations Vita Carnis Angel Hare Local 58 The Man in the Suit Thalasin (Note: Thalasin is only one video, so you don’t have to worry about finding the rest)
Hi I’m a newer subscriber and I bet you probably won’t see this but I wanted to point out something that your greatly skipped over. One of the mysteries you didn’t try much to investigate was the origin of the supernatural effects in greylock. If you remember the small section called cosmic mysteries, you will remember that it says that the moon formed when another planet hit earth. Then the voice glitches out when it mentions the pieces of that planet. It is one of the running theories that mount greylock is a surviving part of that foreign planet. This planet was clearly not normal and likely there is a creature, or just the piece of the planet, behind the crazy stuff. It is highly unlikely that it is an actual god rather it is a thing or creature with power like a gods. Just thought this would be helpful
I will say, the detail of Kennedy opposing Simiodyn and their operations, and then LBJ immediately have them swing into full force is accurate to what their presidencies were like in real life. I especially like that its LBJ in charge of the NAI program, as narratively it fits for a horror series with manipulation as a major theme having one of the biggest manipulators in the history of the United States enact such an important part.
This is the only horror in a long time that made it hard for me to fall asleep. It really is something. On the side note, I really like your commentary over those past two analong streams! You actually add your thoughts and opinions, which is suprisingly rare in a reaction genre.
Small little theory of mine: What if the sickness that the miners got was actually just some normal illness like a flu or something, but because they were so close to masky and the underground worship place, it eventually turned into something worse than just a normal infection
As a bit of analog horror to recommend, I think you would like the Lacey’s Game Series. The creator does all of the art and it’s genuinely really good with the themes that it takes on. It is heavy on them tho so forewarning on that.
If there was one Analog Horror series I would have to recommend, it would be The Monument Mythos created by MISTERMANTICORE. Only thing I will tell you about is that it is quite long, having two seasons with an ongoing third, but next to Gemini it is my favorite AH series and I couldn't recommend it enough.
This was a great time and actually scared me at moments💚 sorry for saying hello neighbor anolog horror at the beginning that was someone else’s joke I just repeated anyway here’s some anolog horror suggestions: the man in the suit, vinus carnes, White stag entertainment, theres a Batman anolog horror that’s kinda neat, dreams of an insomniac, happy child was a short one and happy mom I think and the boiled one I heard was good DEFINITELY NOT URBAN SPOOK they are HORRIBLE and that’s all I got see ya tomorrow and rip those poor Dogos😢💚 oh and local 58
I watched this live and I'm watching the vod while working because seeing you theorize about this series was really entertaining! If you're tired of the tradicional "ooh scary distorted face jumpscare every video" analog horror I highly recomend Angel Hare and Monument Mithos (but this one can be a hit or miss for a lot of people because it's quite "absurd" and gets a bit silly at times)
I personally adore only one analog horror - local 58. Everything there's dizzy. You don't know how to grasp the series. You can go in so many directions. Sometimes it almost feel abstract. Probably bc thing integral to the story - Moon is (to me) more of a multilayered symbol, metaphor then physical object. This series doesn't seem edgy but quiet on the surfice. The resault is maybe more vague but still powerfull terror. It hits and comes quietly at the end of the series. It's a perfect climax. One of my favourite images is in the first episode - "You are on the fastest avaliable route". At the end there's burning horizon. But bc camera is laying down you see this fire vertically. It's great introduction. Everything's burning. Both the sky and the earth. The horizontal fire's physical. It's easier to understand. But the vertical fire's abstract. It's more diffcult to understand (there lies all the fun for me). The fire, the danger, the destruction , the terror blend this two worlds together. All the mentioned fun comes from connecting real and unreal and make it more (or less) consistent. As you're passionate for this series i'm equally passionate for local 58. That's why this long introduction. The fact the series is completed makes the puzzle easier. Some spoilers serve here as an invite. Huge ty Phil for being here with us. Your streams genuinely make me feel better
To everyone interested in the idea of horror simular to what Silent Hill and Greylock do i highly recommend the Something Is Killing The Children Department Of Truth comic series. SIKTC is a much more action oriented series about monster hunters killing the monsters kids manifest out of their fears, with a heavy focus on the main character and the hunters as a community. It has a a lot of gory visuals and interesting monster designs too. Additionally it has a spin-off called House Of Slaughter that further dives into the lore the main book has no time for DoT is basically the Men In Black covering up the fact thoughts affect reality and fighting people that want to srpead that knowledge as far as possible. It not only has an overaching story but also explores the many types of horrors that manifest because of this phenomenon, which i wish Greylock did way more. It's main story is pretty weak, ill admit, but the artwork and one shots alone makes it worth it
i loved every minute of it and to theorize with you all about what is that, from where it came and/or has it a purpose! also, regarding towards the end of the stream: watch vita carnis watch vita carnis watch vita carnis watch vita carnis watch vita carnis watch vita carnis
The EverVigil Chad is one of my favorite characters. The only thing I have against him is that the prior video feed clearly shows a skinless horror Fortnite dancing into the shelter and he still says something about being unsure about the validity of the security breaches. Might have helped if the ‘past’ footage just showed the door abruptly opening, confirming it as a breach, but the ‘live’ footage showing an obscured version of the creature. If it seemed explainable and dismissible, then it’s new aggression being detectable would be- -wait, this is a new channel for me. So far, so good! I’ll take a look at other stuff from you.
A fairly short series is “No Through Road” which tbh is pretty old but it holds up so well and also I feel like it doesn’t get a lot of love compared to other analog horror series Also not to be all “um actually” about shit but the Lacy’s videos technically aren’t analog horror! They are actually is digital horror which I think at least for gen z is really fitting and nostalgic and it makes me feel strange when people talk about VHS tapes like they are a relic and I mean they are BUT DONT SAY IT OUT LOUD- Other than that like everyone else Vita Carnis, Mysterly Flesh Park, Midwest Angelica Honestly for a second I forgot about Greylock but that last video… dear god my entire everything is shook The suspense and dread of the whole thing wrecked my soul istg It’s fun rewatching series with Phil commentary and general discussion! Great way to interact with chat ☺️
The windigo is more than a Canadian legend, its more like a native american folklore that locate within the northern part of the US and Canada. They represented greedy, the harsh winters, isolation, and hunger but recently they're also known for capitalism and colonization. They've become this deformed and decaying being by either obsessing over specific things (like eating a beaver or commiting mass murder) or usually by commiting cannibalism. They can also be possessed by such spirit (for example the story The Windigo Baby or something like that) or even accept becoming one by a windigo to reject their humanity. They look like deformed and decay human beings, they have these claws on both hands and feet. Their teeth are needle like and grown randomly in their mouth, and their body grown tall and thin. There's another form of the windigo being a skeleton giant made of ice with their original form stuck inside their cold heart. Their eyes are either like owls or deeper into their sockets to the point blood drip out to their cheeks. They're curse to starve and that's constantly on their mind to the point they eat their own lips, so they hunt for whatever they can eat, and its not just humans, it can be animals; humans just so happen to be a more valuable source of food and they're kind enough to share with their animal companions. The ways they get food is to lure their victims as their friend or family member to the depth of the environment like a snowy landscape or forest by mimicking sounds to the T and if in the forest, they drop down from the trees branches onto the victims. Another is stalking their victims and giving them multiple nightmares to the point one broke their sanity, become naked, and ran out of their home to get snatch. Even if one survive the attack, they're stuck to be insane. Either way, they're smart enough to talk, trick, and play sadistic games on their victims. They're consider are very evil to the point we don't usually say the windigo out of pure fear to bring their attention to us. I just want to express my hyperfixation here as I been summon when Phi brought up the windigo. For some reason I love the idea of them being consider a stalker enemy in my culture. Makes me wonder if there's any Resident Evil fangames somewhere.
i recommend playing "who's lila" if youre interested in tulpas and manifesting entities. i wouldnt call it horror, its more of a mystery game, trying to learn who lila is, but its still up your alley i think. im trying not to say too much about it bc its one of those games you have to know nothing about before playing to get the full effect.
Greylock is so cool, man!!!!! 🔥🔥✨ And,, it isn’t exactly analogue horror (a live-action adaptation of a creepypasta actually :D) but Teds Caving Journal is really cool, it’s 100% live footage too I literally just finished watching it and thought I’d at least mention it as a possible “watch later”? (for anyone interested in spooky stuff :D)
Commenting here from the thought manifestation rant. Isn't the entire thing of using basically imagination to help people or do stuff basically just the lantern corps from DC?
I’m not sure If its 100% analog horror, but the channel 2h32 is a really interesting series of connected horror vignettes! The schtick of the entire channel is that every episode is exactly 2 minutes and 32 seconds, and posted at 2:32 AM at night. It starts slow, but the more recent videos have some really amazing visuals and sound design. It’d make for a fun, short horror series to go through, even if it’s not on stream! My other recommendation would be to cover some of Mystery Flesh Pit National Park. It’s light on videos, but man, does it have some AMAZING world building with its flesh creatures and history. The 2007 disaster report alone could be a video, though I think you should also look at the documents on the Amniotic Thermal Springs and Compound Surface Fauna.
I actually did watch this while high, it fucked me up. Also, i recommend Winter of 83 its my favorite analog horror. Maybe 2nd because of Greylock. And ill check out Gemini(while high of course).
Sorry but they're not. First video doesn't count obviously because it's cinematic. Second one was posted by Wyatt himself. Third one _would_ have been found footage (with a little bit of cinematic scenes at the end) if it weren't for the Dispersal video. Fourth one also doesn't count because it's just a tribute video. Lastly, Dispersal is very obviously not found footage because of the cinematic shots and the fact that Wyatt [SPOILERS] made it out meaning he gets to upload what he went through again. But Oldest View is definitely not analog horror. It's not even digital horror. It's just a horror series.
Imma go try to give myself sleep paralysis and see if the demon looks like a grey lock boi Wish me luck boiz Also vita carnis would be good but everyone else has already said that
I couldn't stop in for the stream but you should watch Children Under The House, The Smile Tapes, or Angel Hare, but also have you played Dead Plate yet? It's one of my new top indie horror games, Just remembered, the Walten files, boiled one, also I know it's not nice but please don't watch Urbanspook 'The Painter' it's just not great and it's creepy, and not in a good way. Also the boiled one is technically based around real people but it's pretty separate and just uses it as a base for telling their story and giving their message
I recommend Tangi Virus! (I think there’s sequels or something, The Oracle Project, and others-) Vita Carnis is great also! And I uh Un-Reccommend The Painter/Urbanspook (boring and little worldbuilding), and Güby and Friends (the flashing lights are so irritating and I don’t even have vision issues.)
Phil humans are not freaks of nature, our intelligence is just berely bigger then "a few" other animals, the reason we have such an advanced society was because we had the time and the right conditions to develop it, plus our bodies and life style already supported civilization ( imagine a dolphin carrying objects or using fire lol ) also sad fact : ghost pregnancies happens to dogs and other animals too 😢 so thought forms aren't limited to us.
When you get back home, you ABSOLUTELY NEED to watch Vita Carnis as your next Analog Horror stream! PLEASE! WE NEED IT!!! 😭 Oh, and good luck on Observation Duty tomorrow. 🧪⚠️

Not cannon anymore but still a relevant cool idea
i reccomend dreams of an insomniac, Ladar, Dog nightmares and Rapid eyes, those are pretty good
Now THIS is an amazing Analog Horror series!
My reccomendations
Vita Carnis
Angel Hare
Local 58
The Man in the Suit
Thalasin (Note: Thalasin is only one video, so you don’t have to worry about finding the rest)
Small little theory of mine:
What if the sickness that the miners got was actually just some normal illness like a flu or something, but because they were so close to masky and the underground worship place, it eventually turned into something worse than just a normal infection
As a bit of analog horror to recommend, I think you would like the Lacey’s Game Series. The creator does all of the art and it’s genuinely really good with the themes that it takes on. It is heavy on them tho so forewarning on that.
My recommend is the channel doctor nowhere i don't think there is any lore but it does have alot of good shock value
for the mf who donated and said "STOP IT DRAKE" during the Katie and imaginary friend moment,,
i just want them 2 know theyre the funiest mf on earth
Well for analog horror recomendation I only have the White Stag Education vids, they uploaded one more video for now and I like it
1:09:40 Downpour?! Rainworld Fans being represented!
Man you are gonna LOVE Vita Carnis, also, at the end, the officer, isn't what masky says to the archeologist before he kills him?
If there was one Analog Horror series I would have to recommend, it would be The Monument Mythos created by MISTERMANTICORE. Only thing I will tell you about is that it is quite long, having two seasons with an ongoing third, but next to Gemini it is my favorite AH series and I couldn't recommend it enough.
This was a great time and actually scared me at moments💚 sorry for saying hello neighbor anolog horror at the beginning that was someone else’s joke I just repeated anyway here’s some anolog horror suggestions: the man in the suit, vinus carnes, White stag entertainment, theres a Batman anolog horror that’s kinda neat, dreams of an insomniac, happy child was a short one and happy mom I think and the boiled one I heard was good DEFINITELY NOT URBAN SPOOK they are HORRIBLE and that’s all I got see ya tomorrow and rip those poor Dogos😢💚 oh and local 58
yeah midwest angelica is also good and for some reason really under rated! not gonna spoil it but its probably one of the best in terms of quality.
12 days is crazy..?! also i didn’t think anyone would actually make reaction videos of them but i am really glad they did lol
I recommend monument mythos and the hotsog archives
I love the fact that every single recommendation for Analog horrors tend to include Vita Carnis
Loved this stream!
gaslight gatekeep tulpboss
Additionally it has a spin-off called House Of Slaughter that further dives into the lore the main book has no time for
DoT is basically the Men In Black covering up the fact thoughts affect reality and fighting people that want to srpead that knowledge as far as possible. It not only has an overaching story but also explores the many types of horrors that manifest because of this phenomenon, which i wish Greylock did way more. It's main story is pretty weak, ill admit, but the artwork and one shots alone makes it worth it
i loved every minute of it and to theorize with you all about what is that, from where it came and/or has it a purpose!
also, regarding towards the end of the stream:
watch vita carnis
watch vita carnis
watch vita carnis
watch vita carnis
watch vita carnis
watch vita carnis
The EverVigil Chad is one of my favorite characters. The only thing I have against him is that the prior video feed clearly shows a skinless horror Fortnite dancing into the shelter and he still says something about being unsure about the validity of the security breaches.
Might have helped if the ‘past’ footage just showed the door abruptly opening, confirming it as a breach, but the ‘live’ footage showing an obscured version of the creature. If it seemed explainable and dismissible, then it’s new aggression being detectable would be-
-wait, this is a new channel for me. So far, so good! I’ll take a look at other stuff from you.
A fairly short series is “No Through Road” which tbh is pretty old but it holds up so well and also I feel like it doesn’t get a lot of love compared to other analog horror series
Also not to be all “um actually” about shit but the Lacy’s videos technically aren’t analog horror! They are actually is digital horror which I think at least for gen z is really fitting and nostalgic and it makes me feel strange when people talk about VHS tapes like they are a relic and I mean they are BUT DONT SAY IT OUT LOUD-
Other than that like everyone else Vita Carnis, Mysterly Flesh Park, Midwest Angelica
Honestly for a second I forgot about Greylock but that last video… dear god my entire everything is shook
The suspense and dread of the whole thing wrecked my soul istg
It’s fun rewatching series with Phil commentary and general discussion!
It’s a monster!
1:34:29 oh my God it fucking CLICKED.
Marsch, the mf in tf1, used the machine and indirectly caused the ghost pregnancy
i recommend playing "who's lila" if youre interested in tulpas and manifesting entities. i wouldnt call it horror, its more of a mystery game, trying to learn who lila is, but its still up your alley i think. im trying not to say too much about it bc its one of those games you have to know nothing about before playing to get the full effect.
You should watch some dr nowhere content
dr nowhere fucked me UP i was thinking about that boiled fucking thing for DAAAYS he absolutely needs to see it
Sorry, man, but the rat is real. It was taxidermy.
Oh my god you will LOVE Vita Carnis
Greylock is so cool, man!!!!! 🔥🔥✨
And,, it isn’t exactly analogue horror (a live-action adaptation of a creepypasta actually :D) but Teds Caving Journal is really cool, it’s 100% live footage too
I literally just finished watching it and thought I’d at least mention it as a possible “watch later”? (for anyone interested in spooky stuff :D)
Looks like John greylock got em bois
I reccomend stone cold, and children beneath the house.
I beg you to watch Angel Hare it is such a unique analog horror and it is so well made imo 🙏🙏🙏
Ya better watch Vita Carnis Phil, i love that series so much
so essentially this is just stands but analogue horror
There’s is a new analog horror about the titanic and it’s sister ships made by jack g animations
My vote goes for Dreams of an Insomniac
I actually did watch this while high, it fucked me up.
Also, i recommend Winter of 83 its my favorite analog horror. Maybe 2nd because of Greylock. And ill check out Gemini(while high of course).
Isn't "The Oldest View" a found footage?
For FNF mod recommendations i highly recommend that you play the neo mod.
Imma go try to give myself sleep paralysis and see if the demon looks like a grey lock boi
Wish me luck boiz
Also vita carnis would be good but everyone else has already said that
Spoiler: it was just a shadow man
Watched Winter of 83, was pretty damn good, would recommend
2:04:59 gfdi
I highly recommend Vita Carnis. I would also recommend Marble Hornets but that's too long for one stream.
The thoughtforms are turning the frogs gay
You shoud react to valle Verde its increíble
“I think my skin… is moving…” NOPE NOPE NOEP NEP NP NRP NOOOOPE!!!
Also, I can’t wait to see my *thot* forms
I couldn't stop in for the stream but you should watch Children Under The House, The Smile Tapes, or Angel Hare, but also have you played Dead Plate yet? It's one of my new top indie horror games,
Just remembered, the Walten files, boiled one, also I know it's not nice but please don't watch Urbanspook 'The Painter' it's just not great and it's creepy, and not in a good way.
Also the boiled one is technically based around real people but it's pretty separate and just uses it as a base for telling their story and giving their message
Paul and Adler have alot in common
Whats the first song that plays pre-stream?
Phantasmal Phunk from FlipSwitch: Forbidden Sex Hex.
Yeah, I know. Fun title for a game.
@@beaujadethank you :]
Cool stream
I recommend Tangi Virus! (I think there’s sequels or something, The Oracle Project, and others-)
Vita Carnis is great also!
And I uh Un-Reccommend The Painter/Urbanspook (boring and little worldbuilding), and Güby and Friends (the flashing lights are so irritating and I don’t even have vision issues.)
2:34:52 what post? i’m listening😋😋😋😋😋😋
you have to watch the Man in the suit it will be cool… or maybe scary
What's the first song in the intro!? *PLEASE I N E E D T O K N O W*
You gotta watch vita carnis
Mmm. It seems like he’s missing the point of the first couple of episodes. They are important into the story more than you know.
Because other people i watched like it try midwest angelica
2:48:21 me when
Now that's some good shit
=)
When you get back home, you ABSOLUTELY NEED to watch Vita Carnis as your next Analog Horror stream! PLEASE! WE NEED IT!!! 😭
Oh, and good luck on Observation Duty tomorrow. 🧪⚠️
