Fewer votes on party lines means those parties lose some of their power, and thus wealthy donors will give less or nothing to the party coffers or to the individual candidates. Buffalo's mayor easily won reelection on the write-in line in 2021 after losing the primary, so there is proof that it works. That is how to rebel against the establishment and give everyone a better chance at equal representation.

I will add this as an independent: I am not thrilled overall with Biden, but I will vote for him as an anti-Trump vote. But to everyone who is sick of our 2 major parties being filled with grifting politicians who cater way too much to their donors above all others, the way to take a lot of that away is to vote exclusively on the write-in line. Fewer votes on party lines means those parties lose some of their power, and thus wealthy donors will give less or nothing to the party coffers or to the individual candidates. Buffalo's mayor easily won reelection on the write-in line in 2021 after losing the primary, so there is proof that it works. That is how to rebel against the establishment and give everyone a better chance at equal representation.
