Thanks Matt. I always thought backpacks were a pain until I got into FPV. Now I love'em. In my case I find that they can help prevent you from forgetting stuff, once you're used to packing it up how you like it, you know what is supposed to be where in the bag before you leave the house, so less chance of arriving somewhere and finding your missing a bit of gear. 👌 I prefer the Torvol Pitstop backpacks myself, as I find them awesome quality and very comfortable too 👍
I got a URUAV FPV Backpack where I carry literally all my FPV equipment and my main quad, 3 inch racer, and my Mavic 2 Pro! its perfect for freelance photography and fun!
Personally I refuse to pay for an “fpv” specific back pack. They are way too overpriced. So.. I make do with a bag I got from IKEA! It’s perfect. Even comes with what I like to call a battery bag too. For less than half the price of an fpv specific bag.
@@Mi78 so i did link to it... but i think it may have been deleted.. so here i'll try again.. www.ikea.com/sg/en/p/vaerldens-backpack-dark-grey-00441447/
@Grim FPV the thing is.. the FPV specific bags are crush resistant so if you are running and gunning as they say and sling your bag any which way possible.. then i think the torvol or the lowepro bags are perfect... but if you are like me.. who generally puts his bag down gently puts it into the boot gently.. or generally handles it with baby hands.... then you probably could do without the added protection... if i was gifted a #Torvol bag today... id happily dump my current #IKEA one! lol
If you switch to sub-250 class and smaller radio you can use Vanguard VEO (third of the price). Radio (Jumper T8), goggles, tools, batteries in LiPo protective bag, landing pad and 3 drones will fit easily inside. You can strap additional large drone outside, too.
Yes I would love to get rid of my TX16S and use the tango too or something, something with switches that won't crack off so easy and fit in a small compartment
I got this bag as well and I do the same. I keep it stocked with me so any time I get the chance to fly w cool spot as I travel around for work is awesome
After this video, I immediately bought an FPV backpack and it's worth every penny. I went for the Lowepro because it's the only backpack which allows to keep your drone inside the pack.. which is great for travelling
I just use a regular backpack and some battery straps to hold the drone arms to it. Also photography backpacks are even better: have all the good characteristics of fpv backpacks and are cheaper.
I am with you matt, sometime my grandson stop over and has 2 or 3 hour to fly, So we grab pack and head out. He calls me on his way over dump the batteries on the charge, he livevan 1 1/2=away.
A FPV-Backpack can be sweet. That said i use a normal midsize Backpack with rubberline atachments on the back. It did cost 70 Euros and is perfect to carry equipment and one drone attached to the rubberband.
I recently got into FPV too and I've got about... 5-6 backpacks laying around, so there's no way I'm dropping the dough on another one. One of my favourite packs (Douchebag Hugger 30L) is pretty damn close most FPV packs - fully openable main compartment, top pocket, rib-cage on sides, laptop compartment, mesh pockets to organise stuff and a large back panel perfect as a landing pad. The hookup-system is perfect for adding 1/2/3 quads with biners or slings. In addition to this it looks really good and is easily the most versatile bag I've ever had, and that's quite a few. I use this bag for everything, and would highly recommend it to any backpackguy!
Nice video - all about the backpacks - one point of you don’t wanna blow money on FPV bags. Get a SKATE BAG usually comes with skate Velcro - this can be used to hold 5’inch and smaller drones easily
FPV bag for a racer is absolutely essential or things get disorganized real quick. Plus its a little weird to show up to a national championship with a cardboard box
Stupid question: do you take the antennas off your goggles when packing them in the bag? I'd sort of assumed that they might get damaged if you didn't.
I only take the antennas off my analog goggles since these antennas are usually longer, and I think the module is more fragile. But I keep them on my dji goggles because I use little stubby or the Iflight patch antennas and so far nothing got damaged.
I have always carried backpacks/ duffle bags. I have 25 bags so far from different brands 😅😂 this bag looks awesome though! They need to make more bags that can stand up on its own in general even when fully packed. Had so many situations where a bag would fall face first into the mud/wet areas. Nice video!
"I put my gopro in this pocket because it had a soft lining, then I take it and smash it into a tree, parking lot, tumble around in the grass, etc. Then I put it back in the soft lining pocket" Lol. I was so careful with my go pro until it detonated on pavement. I still actually brought this trashed thing back home in the soft pocket
Man I just run large Volume Enduro style Mountain Bike backpack, That way I get Genunie quality and durabillity. A lipo bag, tool pouch, goggle case, Tango2 case with extra props etc is enough, chuck your Drone in the Helmet holder and Get your Hike on....... Its hard to get cool shots standing 2mts away from you car.
80 bucks for the RDQ bag is extremely solid. Personally I don't think spending more than $150 is reasonable, unless it's for backpacking or something. $150 for only FPV or Photography is too much.
No, I post a little bit more flight footage on Instagram but I'm also going to try to do more "monthly flow" videos on here :) I dropped to the ball on that one
can u make a video on the right tuning of cinelog 35 performance and cinebot 30 using betaflight? THere is not a single video on youtube i guess regarding this
I'll tell you right now. It doesn't matter if you are just a rookie flying a tinyhawk, or you carry 3 full size quads at all times. You NEED a backpack for the simple reason that you can put a drone or 3, your batteries, transmitter, charger, tools, goggles, and other miscellaneous things in one pack that you can store away in the corner instead of having it all strewn across your desk or dresser.
Nice video. Just got mine last week. The material on the inner side of the zipper for the main flap is catching on my zipper and fraying already. Is mine just a dud or has anyone else run into this? I'm returning mine and probably going with a different brand, which sucks because I really like the look of this and it's super comfortable. I also like that it's waterproof.
@@bryanlewis3470 splash or rain? But then i think all bags still needs an extra plastic cover for a complete rain proof even for the drone hanging outside
I just think that bag is too big, I've purchased a FPV backpack but sent it back. Probably because I'm not traveling but for daytime trips to the park that thing is just a monster
Lol as an electrician I use DeWalt backpack, also use backpacks for photography, also use them for hiking...... Who comes up with the nonsense they're childish
brevite camera backpack 220eu absolute joke of a backpack thats worse than 50-80eu backpacks. check out camera, hiking or office backpacks, 30-40L that open like the auline if you want to spend less than a 100. Is wearing a backpack to the grocery store taking it too far?
No
No
Hell no
No way, Beats carrying bags if your walking or cycling.
No, but where I'm from its frowned upon bc they automatically think youre stealing something. Until you flash your drones 😎
You need to make a video about that sweet tool bag (and its contents). I got really curious about it! Can you tell me what that is?
Cool, I'll try to make a vid some time. It's just a generic "electronics bag" with all my tools in it!
@@MattPochwat Please do. I was asking the same question after you showed it here.

Awesome!! Another backpack fan. I use the 5.11 tactical Rush24.

I keep my tiny whoop in a custom fannypack. Super stylish! :D
I just use a skateboarding backpack, it has 2 straps for a skateboard but works perfectly for drones
A backpack for everything! That’s the best idea
That red antenna, sitting thee on your box goggles, might just be one of the best VTX antenna's on the market.
i always use a backpack.. got my assault pack from the military still.. i use it for everything.. fpv, gun range, grocery shopping if walking
I am team backpack for sure! Although I have a bunch cause my work one doesn't work for camera gear and my FPV one doesn't work for anything else.
