    In chinese theorem questions instead of solving the complete qsn u all should directly divide the power with 4 and than u will get a remainder than open the powers of giving qsn and than divide with denomentr you will get answers with in 10 to 20 second

    Sir why some questions show different results for Euler Theorem and Chinese remainder theorem
    Eg:- For question (32^32)/6
    Euler answer : 1
    Chinese theorem answer :4

      Please read Euler's theorem's condition .. a and b should be co prime to apply Euler's theorem

      He has applied the Euler theorem for 32 and 3 as they are coprime but it can't be applied on 32 and 6 as they are not coprime.

    if we reduce the 32/6 fraction and solve it via the euler method i am getting 2 (after multiplying the number i divided it with) so how is the ans 4 ?

    Sir, 2 and 153 are co-prime. But if we apply the Euler theorem to this, the ans is 2^32, which will be an even no. And not equal to 103. Can you please clarify??

      2^32 is greater than 153, so well calculate the remainder which 2^32 produces when divided by 153

      Euler method is only valid when divisor and dividend base are co prime to each other

    Sir I have a doubt in 347^347÷100
    In this while taking 347÷4 taken as remainder 3 so why we haven't take remainder as 1 ( because 348 is divisible by 4 completely )

      We can also write it that way, but the remainder we get is -1. Since we don't write the final remainder of any number in terms of negative remainder, converting -1 to positive remainder gives 3 as the answer

    sir in first question (32^32)/6, Euler of 6 is 2,if we solve directly by euler method the remainder of power which is (32/2)r becomes 0 . Which in overall gives remainder as 1 but the answer is 4. Please sir can you explain were I am wrong?

      32 and 6 must be the coprimes to apply the Euler's Theorem so we can't solve it directly

      We cannot apply euler's theorem in this question as 32(power) and 6 are not Co prime with each other

    In the last question, how are we getting 2 as the value of y when taking the remainder of -1y/4|r = 2?

      because in this case for denominator 4, we already know that remainder is 2, so we can easily calculate -ve remainder as 2 - 4 = -2, now consider minimum value of y when put in -1(y)/4 will give rem. as -2, we know that when denominator is bigger than numerator, remainder is numerator only. so if we put y = 0, remainder will be 0, for y = 1, remainder is 3 or -1, now put y = 2, we get remainder as 2 or -2 which satisfies the condition.

      Because Euler theoram only applies to co prime nos.
      Since 32 and 6 are not coprime, you cannot use Euler theoram here

      When you cancel it, (32 x 32^31/6) = 16 x 32^31/3 with cancellation factor = 2. Now solve it, you will still get 4 as reminder

    After solving eq. u always say 32^32 is of form of 4+6k but u got this form using 3 and 2 I.e denominator I think it’s wrong to say that statement. Please let me know if I m wrong

      when 2 and 3 are separately divided by 32^32, then only after solving two equations a general form representing the value is obtained and you can verify the statement from the last lecture where numerator was relatively smaller value so you can calculate it verbally too.

      For Euler’s theorem, the Numerator and denominator need to he co-prime.
      In Q1, 32 and 6 aren’t co-prime as they have a common factor 2. Hence we can’t apply Euler’s theorem.

      Bro you're thinking correct but the smallest number is always the answer so if you take y=6 then it will.gibe remainder as -2 but the final answer will be a bigger number than the correct answer

      @@Rodha 32^32/6 can be Writtle as 2^160/6. Dividing by 2 on numerator and denominator gives common factor as 2 and equation becomes 2^159/3. Hence remainder is - 1^159*CF. Equals - 2 or +1.
      But Chinese method gives 4.???????? How

      @@Rodha also if we make the equation as (4^79*2)/3 remainder is 4/3 gives +1 and 2/3 gives +2. Hence remainder is 2*1 that is 2..

    If we solve first question by euler method the remainder will be 1. ( Euler of 6 =2 , (32/6)r =2 and (32/2)r= 0 so (32/6)r^(32/2)r → 2^0=1 ) please explain this.

    Doubt 2^40/11 gives reminder 5 by euler's theorem but.. Same thing gives answer 1 as Reminder by normal method like
    2^40/11 = (2^5)^8/11
    = 32^8/11
    = (-1)^8
    = 1

      10/ 4 = 2 ; 2/4 = -2
      Therefore -1y/4 = -2
      -1(2)/4= -2
      Y=2

      Euler theorem is not applicable , u can solve using cancellation factor ..

      Because numerator and denominator should be co primes to apply Euler's theorem , but in qn 32 and 6 are not co primes..

      So, split denominator into 2×3 , convert numerator in the power of 2. Then , it will be easy to solve..

    5600÷6 gives remainder 4 only right, since 5556/6 is 926...hence the 2nd sum solution has a mistake...

      -1 is also right.. but 3 is small enough for further calculation and why to complicate things by adding negative remainder

      Remainder should be +, if u subtact your negative remainder by the denominator (4-1) you will again get 3, so both are correct try to get remainder as +

    sir at 13:17 you have said that x has to be = 6 but if we take 6 as value of x then remainder should be -3 (-6/9 remainder = -3) if Im wrong can someone plz explain how its remainder is -6 and not -3

      3/9 leaves a remainder of +3. but since left hand side(LHS) is negative, we have to put a negative remainder.
      3/9 leaves a positive remainder of +3 and negative remainder of (-6)i.e. 3+(-9) =(-6)

    32^32/6 cannot be solved by Euler theorem . As 32 and 6 is not co-prime. [ condition to apply Euler theorem: numerator and denominator has to be Co prime to each other ].

      32^32/6 is being solved by Chinese remainder theorem which is possible because denominator is being split into product of co-primes, whereas Euler's theorem is being used to simplify 32^32/3 which is a part of the process and is possible because 32 is co-prime to 3.

      cancellation factor =2 and then reminder is ultimately rem. is -1 multiple by 2 = -2 or 1 is final remainder

    If you do the first question with the Cancellation Factor method then you get the remainder as 2 since you have to Multiply 1 with the C.f in the end.
    But I dont think the answer should differ with the method so I am confused.

      Sir, the first question that you have done in the beginning of this video with the Chinese remainder method, if I try to solve the same sum with Cancellation Factor method then I get a different answer I.e remainder as 2 Which shouldn't be the case i guess. With both the methods, I am supposed to get the same answer (4) na?

      Hey mate, we directly cannot cancel 6 with 32^32. You first take one 32 out of 32^32. See, 32^32/6 = (32x32^31/6) = (16x32^31/3) with cancellation factor being 2. Now we get remainder as 1x -1^31 which is -1. Multiply this -1 with 2. So -2 is the remainder. But we know negative cannot be a remainder. So we'll subtract this is -2 from 6 which gives 4 as the final remainder.

      How?
      32^32/6 = 16 * 32^31/3 (CF-2)
      Remainder - 1 * (-1)^32 /3 = 1*(-1) /3
      = -1/3 = -1
      -1*CF = (-1)*2 = -2
      Initial/real divisor = 6 so
      6-2= 4 Ans.

      32^32 / 6 = 2^160/ 6 = 2^159/3 i.e the cancellation factor is 2. 2^2k/3 will give a remainder of 1, therefore 2^158 will also leave a remainder of 1. so we are left with only 2^1. 2^1 divided by 3 will give remainder 2. now multiply this 2 with cancellation factor. 2*2 = 4.

      if you apply Eulers theorem, since 4 and 187 are co-prime, you get, " (4/187) ^ (160/160) " (euler of 187 is 160), therefore, 4/187 ^ 0 = 1
