    A quick tip sir for saving time, when we are solving the equation 12x=17y+9 we should only put odd values of y since 9 will be added which will make the number even, and since we are finding integer values of x we don't need to divide 12 with an odd number. HOPE THIS HELPS.

    Sir directly we can come to equation ((11x+7)/9)R=2
    If we solve this by your remainder method we get 2x-2=2
    So we get x=2, number is 11x+7= 29

    In last question...there quation will...12x=17y+12 not 12x=17y+9

      12x + 3 = 17y + 12. +3 will go to rhs and the sign will change +12 - 3 = 9 with a sign of + because 12 have + sign.

    What about 83 for the equation 11x+7= 9y+2? 83 is also leave the remainder as 7 when divided by 11 and leave 2 when divided by 9 . But, It will not show in series 29+ 99K
