  • tree house anchors, a scaled down version of those used on the behemoth projects on TV. Mine was a 12x5 platform that looked like a ship and was intended to hold 2-3 pirates. Worked well.

      @@docellis6866 I would have to agree with Thomas. Being an engineer I would never use this grade of bolt or that type of thread for wood. This would be good for some applications but terrible for a tree house. "Accident waiting to happen" is putting it kindly.

      people not exposed to theory of structural analysis and mechanics of materials won't understand how this is playing with luck.

    a 5/8 bolt seems pretty light . but , can't tell what your using it on so maybe its ok . good luck

      It was a platform made to look like a ship for 3 small pirates. Not a home like they do on TH Masters. The six bolts exceeded the need for the small load.
