  • This is the 5th video in a series hosted by Treehouse Master, Pete Nelson, on how to build a safe treehouse platform using our Tree Fort Hardware System. In this video, Pete installs the first Tree Fort TAB (Treehouse Attachment Bolt) for this treehouse platform. Follow along as Pete demonstrates each step taken to successfully and safely install a Tree Fort TAB.
The Treehouse Attachment Bolt (TAB) is the structural backbone of every treehouse. The lag-threaded end secures the TAB in the tree, while the other end extends outward, acting as an artificial tree limb that supports structural members like beams. You’ll attach your beams to the TABs using a Dynamic or Static Uplift Arrestors.
Our Tree Fort Hardware System (referred to as "Backyard Hardware" in this video series) is a simplified and more economical version of the standard & heavy duty treehouse hardware we use in larger builds. This Tree Fort Hardware System is designed for small scale builds, think: kid-scale tree forts, sunset decks or tree gazebos.
