You are right. I have a Benchmade griptilian reground to 0.007-0.008 BTE and and I notice it bind up a little in cardboard versus my Delica. Tempted to take my Delica to get it reground to those levels to see what happens. My thinnest BTE blade is a Joe Calton paring knife that is 0.004” BTE
For me there is not much difference. I'm not going to use my knives to chop wood or chop food for use. Although I have a couple of other knives that I can take with me for rough or delicate tasks. The main thing is that the knives look good and are also well made.
I use to not care at all but that was before I start really using my knives. Thin all day for me and my use ! I just go an endura sprint run First back lock for me, I love it so much ! Same for my Microtech LUDT gen 3 the blade is wicked ! So for me thin is the way.
Love my drift L , but my neutron 2 is one of the sliciest knifes I own, atom and shadow are excellent as well, but work carry is a LW maxamet manix 2 or stretch ,leatherman wave or rebar and a work tuff nomad bushcrafter or forester from Alex and a silky pocket boy 🔥
I love how easy the vanax is to touch up on the drift. I strop every other day and it slices paper towel with ease.
Different thickness for different task/results. Thanks for the vid. Cheers!
I like both. Thin is great performance but for some reason thicker just turns my crank. Good video
0:04 I’m the guy that messaged you on Instagram about these two knives…I went with the mcnees first. 😂
As Outdoors55 would say "thinness is sharpness" 😂🙌
thin all day
Rijght on!!

A Delica regrind would be insane.
@@doodysdaggers Oh yeah, I am contemplating it. Like somewhere between 0.006-0.007”
I like .13 and under. More thin slicey knives. Cool vid bro.
Good thoughts! Thanks.

Thin blade stock is probably more practical for me. But a thick blade stock just brings me joy lol
Haha yeah man I feel you
Im right there with you! Ive gotten used to thin stock and perfer it edc wise but have been tempted by the pmp alpha beast many times lol.
Yo Doody - just found you’re channel a week or so ago. Super stoked to be able to watch and tune in to your videos. Keep it up brotha

Manix 2 XL best of both worlds
I'm really bummed I didn't get a shadow. Hope they bring it back at some point. I did however just order a rex 121 sage 5 :D
They will!
Great video brother!

I wish Quiet Carry and TRM would grind their blades thinner. That would be the best of all worlds.
I have a quiet carry drift. IF you could only keep one: original or the large?
Large. Although I really like both
Love your videos watch them all
Thank you bud!🤘🤠🤘
My knives are the only thing i like thin
great video
My praetorian TI says it can cut all those knives in half !! 😂
Haha
