  • When you're traveling full time with 9 kids and one of them has special needs, having a nanny isn't a terrible idea. We were back and forth about having one travel with us but when we met Sarah it all fit into place. She came for a night to try it out and now she's flying in to join us for the next year or so. Are we ready to add another person to our madness? We hope so!
    Want to see the day Sarah came to try out being our nanny?

    "We don't cook for the kids. We just cook good food and we expect them to eat it or have toast." I love that!

      TheGoreeTruth and what if they just always have a toast...

    • @hannahkastelic6543
      @hannahkastelic6543 7 років тому +11

      Lee The Dragon I'd imagine they would get tired of constantly eating toast and just try eating what the rest of the family is eating eventually

    • @thegoreetruth1074
      @thegoreetruth1074 7 років тому +11

      Lee The Dragon I haven't really noticed any of them eating toast. But I have seen them eat lots of other stuff including healthy snacks. So I'm sure that they are fine. 😉

    • @LeeTheDragon
      @LeeTheDragon 7 років тому

      TheGoreeTruth i mean in general. 'cause I know one family. teenage boy doesn't eat almost anything that his mom cooks. so I thought that if she said "just eat the toast", he would just do that.

    The trashed element of being a mom is very real. We just moved country to country and the new schedule and level of energy it takes to do anything has me feeling trashed. I thought it was just me. Between 1 and 3 everyday I'm looking at a nap. Thanks for being candid!

    I just wanted to let you know, I'm so happy that you are doing everything you can to help your kids grow! I didn't have any help with school, or in life growing up. I was told over and over I would never been anything. So I never got the help I needed! I am now 26 years old with 2 girls under 2 and I'm a stay at home mom/wife. I do wish I could have done more with my life, but that's not the way it tuned out. You doing everything you can for you kids and making sure they make it to where they want to be, will help them the most in the long run!! Thank you so much for your videos!! =)

    Megan! First our family of 9 LOVES watching your channel! When you mentioned not having a good way to store and travel with your jewelry I got so excited! I am a Jeweler with Premier Designs Jewelry, a company based on biblical principles, and we have a travel jewelry storage bag I would love to send you! Also you have mentioned that you like a lot of different looks with your jewelry but obviously do not have a lot of space since you travel. We specialize in versatility! Our necklaces can be worn in several different ways. I think you would find it so cool! I would love to send you a necklace. My gift to you because your family has given so much to our family through your transparency and honesty. We are actually considering selling all we have also and traveling full time with our family. You and Mike have inspired us!

    I've really enjoyed going back and watching all your older videos (I'm watching your videos for the second time). I especially like listening to Daniel since in the later videos he is often at work. I see a lot of growth in Eve in such a short time frame. I know that I'm always saying how amazing you all are but I believe in sharing positive thoughts and there so many people judging others negatively so it's really nice to be able to easily shower you all in positive thoughts and to tell you how amazing you all are in your own ways. I think that you are living the dream when a good percantage of people only dream about it. I'm sending you love and as always you are in my prayers. Xx

    There is a jewelry bag you can sew or buy from etsy (or some site similar) and it is usually a draw string type bag. When you open it, it has multiple pockets lined on the inside and one big open space in the middle for bracelets and such. It balls up, but keeps your jewelry organized. We moved a lot and I had to tote around my jewelry.

    Hello Knorps! I've been following your channel for a couple months now and love following your family as you travel! What a great experience to give your kids!!
    To answer your question about traveling with your jewelry, I have a suggestion. I bought two bead organizers at Michaels and use those. One is small with six compartments for earrings and the other is about 6" long and used for necklaces and other earrings. The bead boxes are sturdy, cheap, have compartments, and cone in a variety of sizes. I just returned to the USA after 11-month trip around the world and used the bead boxes to carry a few items of jewelry- they worked out great! So if you're still looking for something, check out a craft store for bead organizers and see if that will work for you.
    Have a GREAT time in France! It's my favorite country out of all the travels I've done :)

    I use cardboard squares/rectangles to hang earrings on and keep necklaces from tangling. Just a bunch of cardboard and poke holes in it for the earrings and then cut notches in each end to secure necklaces. Then the squares/rectangles can just be put in ziplock bags.

    My 2 biological grandsons are half Chinese and Jude reminds me so much of my 3 yr old grandson, I also have a 6 year old grandson and their mom is going to teach them Chinese, I believe it is Cantonese, their maternal grandparents do not speak very much English, so when to go to visit, "Mama and Papa, it is traditional food, and culture, even though they have lived in California over 30 years, they still speak mostly Chinese. I wonder if Daniel and Esther speak Mandarin and or Cantonese. I love that you have a Nanny to help with Eve and give her plenty of attention to blossom at her pace. whew, NY city makes me tired to watch all the long travel you have to do, but it is good exercise and people are use to walking everywhere. I live in Los Angeles, transportation is bumper to bumper on the freeways..LOL, I don't drive much out of my town which is near the beach away from downtown LA...

    For your next date night, I also recommend going to Fort Tryon Park at sunset. It's at the northern tip of Manhattan so it's a bit of a trek to get there, but if you know how to use the express trains and it's just the two of you, it shouldn't be too bad.

    Make sure you check out Chinatown, it's the largest in the US, just a few stops on the 6 train at Canal street. I think Daniel will love it.

    I don't remember where Sarah is from. Best wishes for a good fit with your nanny. Seems like the kids love her already.
