- This Lenovo Legion Gaming PC came into my computer repair shop because it wouldn't stop beeping. Turns out it has a faulty stick of SK Hynix RAM because SK Hynix is a joke of a company and produces nothing but trash technology. Thankfully I was able to fix it by replacing the RAM DIMM and also gave the CPU and GPU a cleaning by dusting it out with a toothbrush and a blower. Now this high tech gaming PC is cleaned and ready to be used.

Man I hated SK hynix Ram sticks , did internship at company that refurbished computers . Every time a build failed the QC testing , it mostly due to that brand of ram stick even though they were brand new ram sticks .

I love knowing what the number of beeps means because its like knowing a secret language I fixed a PC once having similar issues and all it took was reseating the ram I even checked back in with them to make sure the issue was solved and they haven't had issues since

My dad's computer was way worse than this one is. I played on that thing from ~2010-2020 in the attic that never got dusted. In 2021, when I was 17 years old, I noticed it making a really weird sound and decided to open it up. There were entire cobwebs and thick layers of dust, like on the fans here except on every single surface. I cleaned the entire thing, but I still don't know why my dad ever let it get that bad. Maybe he thought it was my responsibility, since I used it a lot? But I was around 12 years old when I used it the most. I now regularly bully him about cleaning his computers

Getting some mileage out of that skeleton.
I had that very same computer. After it got on my nerves to tore it apart. Took the cpu and ssd out and trashed the rest Lenovo angered me locking down their bios and inability to customize and set the computer up how I wanted too.
Only difference between mine and this computer here is that on mine they gave me Samsung ram. But the cheap high latency kind. OEM crap.
I bought a prebuilt 1 single time learned my lesson. And stuck with building my own pcs. Prebuilt computers are over priced box’s of OEM crap you can’t customize outside of the options they give you.
So bought a case. Bought an Asus strix motherboard. Bought me some g skill ram. Nvidia 4070 ti graphics card. Slapped the system together. Configured it how I like it. And it’s been solid since. 👍
Maybe I’ll package up all the older tech I have and donate it to “the greatest technician that ever lived” haha. Kidding he wouldn’t want this crap either.

That computer looks very similar to mine. It’s having an issue where anything plugger into it doesn’t work. Monitor, keyboard, mouse… none of it comes on. Does anyone know what this could be? I tried every USB port on it and none worked so that’s not it.
