Maddie, great news you will prepare for the mechanic's matrix. You'll probably end up teaching mechanics for women after all your studying. Hi Ellie, welcome back. We missed you! Eliza, you now have double dog duty to keep up with those two. Happy trails and memories are in the making.
It is nice to see Ellie again! She has such a sweet smile. When I was watching your last video, I too wondered how the mechanic suddenly found a 2nd issue, after they fixed the first problem. I wondered too why this 2nd issue was not found right away. With the cracked radiator. That did not make sense. I am glad you are waiting on this 2nd repair. It did not make sense. Take care Maddie and Ellie. Have a great time travelling around. Eileen 😊❤🇨🇦🐞🐝🦋
New mom here. I would use the tumblers to drink more water daily. The tumbler can hold so much water and has multiple ways to drink which is convenient. My book recommendation is twilight. Can't go wrong with that series. :)
"I don't know if it was the mouse I just caught, or the one from a couple of weeks ago.." MADDIE! If you havent been in that drawer in 2 weeks, it's time to move stuff into your storage area, below the bed. If you have room, use the plastic storage bins with a snap lid. Keeps critters out. Hmmm, dinner looks good, Ellie. If you guys come up around Everett, there is some really beautiful areas around the Granite Falls area. Be happy to show you!😊
As for vehicle repairs, always get two estimates and you’ll see what’s really needed. Have you thought of the vacuum seal bags? They make some that don’t require a vacuum you just roll and the air comes out. I use it in my suitcase to make space and if my suitcase ever busts open in the rain… again. My clothes are dry. In your van it can save space, keep rodents from nesting, as well as keeping your clothes dust free. You can put a fabric sheet in there to keep it smelling fresh.
The water bottle is nice. Being disabled and mobility-impaired, I keep a couple 20 oz. bottles close at hand, this 40 oz. bottle will be good. Found it on Amazon, as I don't use Paypal. Price is good.
Welcome Ellie. Glad that Maddie is going to have you with her. Always good as a woman to travel with someone else. Good decision Maddie about waiting on your coolong system. The mechanic i believe is taking advantage of you. The more you know mechanically the more you will save yourself money. Buy yourself a couple of cans of fix a flat. They come in handy. Enjoy your time together with your friend.
If your van starts to run hot. Crank up the heater in the cab. Run the fan full blast! Open your windows. The heater is just a small version of whats up front. It can help
You can buy an independent thin booster air cooling fan from most auto supply shops and strap onto the front of your radiator and do a simple wiring job to power. Might have to open the hood to turn off and on depending on how you set it up. This will give you some ability to cool while you are waiting to do the bigger job.
The invention of the "Tumbler" is a blessing! I love sweet hot black tea with a smidge of lemon in a tumbler to keep it warm on a chilly day. Sometimes very basic things in life are the most comforting. And I would also love a good book recommendation. I can't seem to get back into that reading nitch.
Just received your prints this week - thanks. I would give the bottle to my daughter who teaches third grade and is always in need of hydration. Enjoy the journey!
Yay!! Ellie’s back! That’s so great! Have fun. Totally don’t blame you for wanting to do repairs yourself. Rooting for you! Also received my prints.. love them!! And the company was fine. ❤
This tumblers are so cute! I would definitely use it for a coffee in my mornings! I have two good books. The mountain is you by Brianna Weist! Also the Midnight Library is so good too.
I would totally fill one of those tumblers up with an ice cold drink and go out in the lake on my kayak!! My two favorite books right now are "How to Quit like a Millionaire" and "Belgarath the Sorcerer". You've totally "got this" with your van repair. Girl Power!!!
You're right. Construction is WAY more difficult than 95% of auto repairs. Learning to perform vehicle repairs is by far the easiest way the average person can save thousands of dollars. You're 100% making the right decision. There's a youtube video for EVERYTHING you would need to fix. All you need is the right tools.
Have fun ladies! I would give the tumbler to my daughter who is a firefighter/EMT to carry with her through the day. I find 40oz to be perfect size for myself. Great recent read - Lessons in Chemistry. 🎉
EEEEK! Way to go! I'm only like 30 seconds in but im excited to see your resilient attitude knowing that you can fix the van, or at the very least try I bought my van from a junkyard and it didnt even turn on. With the help of my step dad as a teacher, I went from not knowing how to operate a power drill to fixing up everything under the hood to get the thing running perfectly. It was a lot more work than a normal van conversion, but i dont think I'd change a thing about it. Learning how to navigate the engine and properly maintain and understand it is something I'm very grateful for.
Good for you fixing your car. If you need to rent a storage unit to park your car in and disassemble it you can stay out of weather. They should have replaced the fan while they had the radiator out of the car. If been down that road, way a rip off. If you don't have the car sitting and idling you should be ok with the fan. That, idling, is how I found out both of my radiator fans didn't work. Good luck, UA-cam rocks!
I would get all my water in this adorable mug…I love the darker purple cup, great for a splash of color in what is going to be the dark season here really soon!! I am reading Killers of the Flower Moon…it is so raw!
My tumbler would be filled with hot chai this winter, on short drives to work and long drives to hikes in Lassen & Plumas Counties in Nor Cal, as well as drives to the rescue I volunteer at to pick up foster kitties. If you haven’t read NoViolet Bulawayo’s We Need New Names, I’d say be ready cry but also massively appreciate this heart wrenching immigration story
Mice stay away from Bounce dryer sheets - could cut up one as they are pretty potent and distribute the smaller cut pieces into drawers so the scent does not overwhelm your articles. Also pure peppermint oil [use the genuine essential oil I'm told] on cotton balls and place those as well - mice abhor it
Those bottles are super, but we already have a bunch here at home. Oh wow, how lovely seeing Ellie again! Her radiant smile brightens up the most miserable of days. I'm so happy and glad she's finding herself travelling. *big hugs* to her and you Maddie. Lovely video, I loved every minute of it. ~Wendi 🌻
I would give the bottlebottle to my youngest daughter who is disabled now. She does well with bottles of cups with a top and a straw. I have many favorite books but I love The Notebook and Gift from the Sea. I know that you can replace that fan. You are amazing and can do so many things. I look forward to your next video with your friend from Germany that is visiting. :)
I would use it for work as I'm a community travelling nurse and 3 books I've read recently that I loved are: Outsider by Brett Popplewell, Nomadland and woodswoman by Anne Labastille :)
Great video!!! The bottle bottle tumbler would be well used on my next trip!! Hopefully going west soon! As far as books go… I love old classics and “little women” always brings me back.
Loved this weeks video! I would use the Tumbler on my long drive to work to keep my coffee warm this winter! I enjoyed Atomic Habit! It was a great book!
Young Lady, YOU are the exact reason I am packing the tool boxes in my camper. I raised my kids on wrenching and self sufficiency. But you and many others here are correct stealerships and mechanic shops rip people off. Don't feel alone, my son has watched his incompetent male friends get ripped off when all they had to do was ask for assistance. As I rebuild this house foundation to money up for my own travels I am working on the farm owner's daughter's antique pickup when she can make it home. I don't do any work on vehicles, motorcycles included without the owner there to help and learn. Quite often the electric motor on fans isn't the problem. Thermostats, relays or wiring are the culprits so troubleshooting from beginning power to the motor will find the problems. A good inexpensive multimeter can save you thousands! I wish you Ladies good luck in your travels and cooler heads when space seems too small! You are in my prayers Hoka Hey
I've never left comments before to any UA-camr that I've watched before, but I couldn't help myself this time. Your give a way happens to be my daughters favorite colors and she would be overjoyed having one of those bottlebottle's to drink from. Also, glad to see your van running okay again, I hope it last for a long while this time. Thanks Maddie for sharing your adventure's with us. Clyde, Long time follower. PS-Please give Eliza a hug from me.
I'd bring that tumbler on hikes in the colder season, because I don't drink enough when the water gets too cold. If you like fantasy I recommend the stormlight archives by Brandon Sanderson. It's a series & starts with the way of kings. Liebe Grüsse an Elli & viel Spass in Washington, da will ich definitiv auch noch hin
Travel Mammographer here. (So the Bottle Bottle would be my work hydration favorite!) Part time nomad. Currently in Portland, OR for a while. Volunteer stand-in Mom if you ever need anything! Just say the word! (A stern talk with a mechanic comes to mind!) 😂 My favorite book is always the one I’m currently reading. “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig. Super thought provoking! Kind of hits home right now. Anyways, you two have a blast out there!
It’s great to see Ellie again! I’m glad she’ll be traveling with you for awhile. If you haven’t read the “Woodswoman, Living Alone in the Adirondack Wilderness” by Anne Labastille, I recommend it, There are additional books. They are old, and so you have to get a paperback copy. You may also want to take a look at “Root Beer Lady, The Story of Dorothy Multer” It’s another older book. A new book that is available on kindle is “Digging Deeper” by Amanda Hoenes. She and her dog paddled the Missouri River, and Mississippi River in 2021.
If I won a tumbler I would use it every single day at work. I am a school bus driver. It’s colder than cold in the winter and hotter than hot in the summer. I also have an nv3500 that I hope to build out so it would be great for hydration on the go once I am able to travel in my van during school breaks.
Ditto the comment below - Yahoo Ellie is back...so looking forward to some adventures. See - all that "van problem" stuff was a prep for yours (and ours) special guest. Safe travels.... aloha Alexandra.
Hello. In reference to your fan, it may well be your thermostat switch. That is faulty. Research it on UA-cam, it is an easy fix. replacement part from Auto parts shop or dealership .stay safe and well.
Stones from the River by Ursula Hegi. But I have hundreds of favourite books!! Ellie just made me think of that one. I would...drink my morning turmeric and ginger tea in it, followed by late morning coffee and then water for the afternoon. Yum!! Thank you.
I like that the bottle bottle goes in the drink thing in my car my current water bottle does not fit and it’s a pain. A great book is All the light cannot see, and Someone else’s Shoes by Jojo Moyes.
Your van is so cute. How nice of you to share it with friends. I'm going to read comments from your video to learn where I can learn more as well. My fear is being taken advamtage of at car repair shops. Thanks!
I would use my tumbler to keep hydrated while teaching middle school reading and writing. I don’t drink enough water during the day. I’m going to share a few books I’ve loved over the past year or so: The Storyteller’s Death by Ann Davila Cardinal, The Stationery Shop by Marjan Kamali, When Women Were Dragons by Kelly Barnhill, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, and any and all books by Ruta Sepetys.
Not sure if you'd ship to Canada, but I'm going to answer anyway. I love having lots of water to drink throughout the day. 40oz is a great size! As for book, I feel like you would like "West With Giraffes," by Lynda Rutledge. And a great duology is "Dance of Thieves", and "Vow of Thieves," by Mary E. Pearson. Plus they are really beautiful books!
Hey Maddie, glad you are doing well.Another awesome video.Your videos are very uplifting and beautiful .You are a wonderful artist as well.I go camping every year in New York State in the Adirodack Mountians, and you give me inspiration.Im glad your all doing well.Glad your friend is moving in .The bloopers at the end are very funny 😂 All the best guys !!
My husband and I are 30 minutes east of Seattle, out in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley area. We have 3 acres and a miniature horse, if you ever need a place to park and stay! Love your down to earth videos!
@MaddieTaylor Kindness rules :) If I won a tumbler, I would take it on the road with my sweet dog Chester for some fun hikes and I recommend A Christmas Carol this time of year! Dickens = kindness and humanity always.
So glad to see Elli is ok, I subscribed to her channel looking forward to vlogs about New Zealand but then she disappeared from You Tube. Enjoy you time together and safe journeys.
I love your videos I'm old enough to be your mother but you are still such an inspiration!!! One of my favorite books is an old book by Wally Lamb. It's called, "Shes come undone" I would get all of my water in if I had a bottle bottle 💜
Naming a single book is nearly impossible, but I'll go with one of my personal favs "The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test". Cool bottles, I carry water around all day, so there's always one within arms reach.
That does sound super r high for a radiator. I replaced one in my car when I broke down in the Allegheny mountains on my own for a fraction of the price. It was actually not too hard. This bottles are the perfect size and I'd use it for my adventure weekends here in the north east. A book that I always enjoy is an older one, but very much a page turner, "Swan Song" by Robert McCannon.
Maddie you got a lot accomplished before picking up Ellie and smart move on not letting that mechanic get ahold of your vehicle a second time. Watch a ton of videos and like you said you figured out how to add electric and water system you can do this. I would use the tumbler for either coffee or H2O, I'm just starting my nomadic lifestyle at the young age of 64 and will have a lot of driving to do to get from Kansas to Arizona then to Washington to visit my oldest daughter and family for Christmas then back to Arizona to stay till May. Traveling approximately 4,000 miles. The tumbler would be useful also for hiking with my dog and 2 cats. You two have a Blessed trip together and be safe. Looking forward to more videos, hope to start my own UA-cam channel as well.
I really enjoy all the work you put into these videos. But what has spurred me to hold you in highest regard is your knowledge of how to properly roll/store a hose. Respect.
If I win the tumbler, I will probably use it as a my every day replacement for work to keep my water nice and cold; also I would use it for camping trips and any time I'm going to the gym as well! :) As for book recommendations, My favorite book currently is The Midnight Library. It made me cry and I think it's such a great shift in perspective for the reader!
You two are going to have so much fun! Those tumblers are really cool. I’ve been working on increasing my hydration so one that size would really help. Have you read Auberge of the Flowering Hearth? It’s a travelogue of sorts about a small hotel in a high valley in France as the author visits over many years. The valley is where the monastery where Chartreuse is made, coincidentally. The descriptions, the menus and recipes, it’s all so lovely.
Wow!! Van problems. :(. They seem to never end!! Our too. :(. We can’t even find the problem. So glad you have a friend visiting. Love your Saturday morning videos. I’m betting you WILL be able to fix your van on your own. 🙏🏻
I would use the tumbler as a sip mug. Since I am disabled with MS, it would be helpful as my grip isn't very good. I tend to knock things off to the floor.
I knew it was going to be Ellie! How fun!! I'm so glad that someone who means so much to you can be with you for so long! That's awesome! I"m also excited about another Bobble Bottle give away. So here goes. If I were to win one, I would use it in my classroom every day! We teachers get thirsty, and I would love to have something like that! And books - I have so many favorites, but one of the best is called A Short History of Nearly Everything, by Bill Bryson. Anything by Bill Bryson and you can't go wrong. That one is huge, it's long, but it's sooooooo fascinating!! I'm so excited for you! And also, the print I ordered last week - I got an update and they said it'll be ready for shipping soon!! I can't wait!! Have a great time on your journey with Ellie! You deserve it! ~Your French Teacher Friend, Andrea :)
So awesome to see Elli back doing van life with you!! 🚐😁 If you haven’t yet read “Women Who Run With the Wolves” do yourself a favour and get on it! Especially for your lifestyle~ it’s sooo good! 👍 I need one of those cups because I live in the city and have to use buses and public transportation and I could bring my beverage with me on the go! 👍😁
Gosh! A tumbler has so many uses... coffee, tea... cocktails. One of my favorite books is The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski... Read it, be inspired, and cry.
Those Bottle Bottles are so cool. If I had one, I'd use it for chai lattes and coffees. My favorite book...that's hard because I have so many of them. My favorite books are the Myron Bolitar series by Harlan Coben (my favorite author). Ellie is so sweet. You guys enjoy and stay safe! #BeKind
Hi Ellie!! I’m a nurse so a bottle would encourage me to drink more water. My favorite book is A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving who also wrote another favorite of mine The World According to Garp.
Maddie, great news you will prepare for the mechanic's matrix. You'll probably end up teaching mechanics for women after all your studying. Hi Ellie, welcome back. We missed you! Eliza, you now have double dog duty to keep up with those two. Happy trails and memories are in the making.

Take care Maddie and Ellie. Have a great time travelling around.

So nice to see Ellie again! Eliza’s sweater is adorable and so is she. Good video, Maddie🥰 thanks!
New mom here. I would use the tumblers to drink more water daily. The tumbler can hold so much water and has multiple ways to drink which is convenient. My book recommendation is twilight. Can't go wrong with that series. :)

“October in the Earth” by Olivia Hawkins. I would make my coffee in that beautiful tumbler every day ☕️. Thank you Maddie.

I would take my tumbler on walks with my dogs with intention. Fav book All the Light you cannot see by Doer. Happy days ladies ❤️❤️🐶
Happy to see u have Elllie with u .Safe travels ladies.
Herzlich willkommen Ellie! It will be fun to watch your and Maddie's adventures.😊
I love Eliza's sweater!!! She looks so cute in it. I find caulking oddly satisfying.
You can buy an independent thin booster air cooling fan from most auto supply shops and strap onto the front of your radiator and do a simple wiring job to power. It is beautiful and warm here in Christchurch today. I spent the weekend on the West Coast in a van, seeing Reefton, Hokitika, Greymouth
Awesome video 🤍🏳️🌈Thanks for sharing 🥰
Thank You for following our advise of running away from that shop. Hopefully everything will be ok. Blessings

I've never left comments before to any UA-camr that I've watched before, but I couldn't help myself this time. Also, glad to see your van running okay again, I hope it last for a long while this time. Thanks Maddie for sharing your adventure's with us.
Clyde, Long time follower. PS-Please give Eliza a hug from me.
Glad to see you have some company for the next few weeks. Keep up the great videos
This video was edited so nicely :) so glad to see Elli back, and excited for your adventures in Washington!
It is so good to see Elli again! Have fun, dear ones❤❤
I thought those repair numbers seemed a little high. Glad your community gave you some better ideas. Hope you two have fun hanging out. Stay safe.
Hope things are looking up with the van!

You can also get the high frequency pest deterrents that run on batteries.
If I won a tumbler I would use it every single day at work. I am a school bus driver. It’s colder than cold in the winter and hotter than hot in the summer. I also have an nv3500 that I hope to build out so it would be great for hydration on the go once I am able to travel in my van during school breaks.
Your van is a mobile Hantavirus Lab. Sticky traps are good because if the fleas jump off the mouse they get stuck too.
We vacation with our class a, I can not imagine living in a van with another person and a dog. Our digs go everywhere with us.

Hey Maddie, glad you are doing well.Another awesome video.Your videos are very uplifting and beautiful
.You are a wonderful artist as well.I go camping every year in New York State in the Adirodack Mountians, and you give me inspiration.Im glad your all doing well.Glad your friend is moving in .The bloopers at the end are very funny 😂 All the best guys !!
Great to see Elli again!
I have So. Many. Books... I need to read, but right now I'm reading Looking Up by Casey Roman.
Your a strong woman , I have full faith in you that you can fix it . Belly rubs for the fur babies ❤
My husband and I are 30 minutes east of Seattle, out in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley area. We have 3 acres and a miniature horse, if you ever need a place to park and stay! Love your down to earth videos!
My two favorite faces in all of UA-cam.
@MaddieTaylor Kindness rules :) If I won a tumbler, I would take it on the road with my sweet dog Chester for some fun hikes and I recommend A Christmas Carol this time of year! Dickens = kindness and humanity always.
Home based on Washington and exploring local this winter. Enjoy your time here!
“Smile You’re Traveling” by Henry Rollins is my favorite book. I use a portable water bottle everyday even at home instead of a glass.
It's called, "Shes come undone"
I would get all of my water in if I had a bottle bottle 💜
Naming a single book is nearly impossible, but I'll go with one of my personal favs "The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test". Cool bottles, I carry water around all day, so there's always one within arms reach.
I hope to get one of that bottle bottle. I am living in my van also and do travel . It would be a nice gift for my upcoming birthday ☺️
I would full it with lemon water and my favorite book is where the red fern grows ❤
I really enjoy all the work you put into these videos. But what has spurred me to hold you in highest regard is your knowledge of how to properly roll/store a hose. Respect.
lol
Black Elk Speaks is one of my favorite books. I would use my Bottle Bottle 40 every day for ice water. Great video.
So awesome to see Elli back doing van life with you!! 🚐😁
If you haven’t yet read “Women Who Run With the Wolves” do yourself a favour and get on it! Especially for your lifestyle~ it’s sooo good! 👍
I need one of those cups because I live in the city and have to use buses and public transportation and I could bring my beverage with me on the go! 👍😁
I LOVE that book!!
Picked up some bottles for Xmas gifts! Thanks for the discount code Maddie! 🎄🎄🥰
Welcome back Ellie! Hope you two have the best time! 💝💜🐾💝🚐
Have that tumbler with me everyday ! Great read is Heartbeat by Danielle Steele ❤️
