I love this animatic not only because the amazing animation and art, but because they don’t reveal themselves at the end. It’s more realistic to the actual show (dispite it being fiction). It plants the vision in my head how this could actually happen, and I love that. They love eachother without revealing who they really are, so the love is true, instead of Chat only loving her because she’s ladybug or Ladybug only love Chat because he’s Adrien. It’s real when they don’t know.

I liked the way you ended this scene. I was expecting a kiss/reveal like most other comics (not that I would've minded seeing as there's obviously a void everyone's trying to fill) but I was pleasantly surprised! Well done! It also fits the lyrics if you don't know how this song ends in the musical.
Why does this still work so well in this context?! In fact, I feel it works BETTER in this context!! Because while yes, it's still character A masquerading how he feels about character B whilst trying to play it off like character C said it, i feel it works better here. Evan's wording can sometimes seem a bit romantic and sappy, not like something Connor would say to his sister that he -probably- abused. But seeing as now it's Chat saying this stuff as if Adrien said it, not only does it seem more genuine and true, but it's ACTUALLY convincing that he would say this. It's obvious that Adrien likes Marinette, so using Chat as a kind of loophole to still tell her how he feels is GENIUS!! Way better than how Evan tried to disguise his feelings as stuff Connor said; that just didn't feel right. Anyway, let's put down the story analytical side of Sam and focus on the video itself....I love it. Your style kind of reminds me of Emirichu's (which I also adore, so brownie points for you), and the subtle glances and facial changes are so telling even without being fully in motion! That's why I always give animatics a chance. There's always gonna be that ONE in the sea of other, crappy cash-ins trying to gain popularity from making an animatic, that is genuinely, unapologetically FANTASTIC. And I think I found a new one to add to that list.
Both works well. Dear Evan Hansen is supposed to be sad and tragic and the characters don't know what to do (especially Evan since he has social anxiety). In miraculous its also good in the sense that it is more happy :)

OHMYGOODNESS Best Miraculous animatic, and I'm not being sarcastic or exaggerating. The animation is amazing (as is the art but I tend to group those together), song choice is perfect, and the pLOTLINE. Best Miraculous animatic I've seen in a VERY LONG time.

In the actual musical (Dear Evan Hansen) the brother (Connor) commits suicide and Evan (the person playing chat) has one of Evan's letter's to himself (he has anxiety and trying to help gain confidence by it) and people mistake it for a suicide note and Evan has feelings towards Zoey (Connor's sister) (Marinette) and in the song is telling his feelings toward Zoey to help get closer to her by saying everything he likes about her is what Connor's saying.

I liked the way you ended this scene. I was expecting a kiss/reveal like most other comics (not that I would've minded seeing as there's obviously a void everyone's trying to fill) but I was pleasantly surprised! Well done! It also fits the lyrics if you don't know how this song ends in the musical.

Why does this still work so well in this context?! In fact, I feel it works BETTER in this context!! Because while yes, it's still character A masquerading how he feels about character B whilst trying to play it off like character C said it, i feel it works better here. Evan's wording can sometimes seem a bit romantic and sappy, not like something Connor would say to his sister that he -probably- abused. But seeing as now it's Chat saying this stuff as if Adrien said it, not only does it seem more genuine and true, but it's ACTUALLY convincing that he would say this. It's obvious that Adrien likes Marinette, so using Chat as a kind of loophole to still tell her how he feels is GENIUS!! Way better than how Evan tried to disguise his feelings as stuff Connor said; that just didn't feel right.
Anyway, let's put down the story analytical side of Sam and focus on the video itself....I love it. Your style kind of reminds me of Emirichu's (which I also adore, so brownie points for you), and the subtle glances and facial changes are so telling even without being fully in motion! That's why I always give animatics a chance. There's always gonna be that ONE in the sea of other, crappy cash-ins trying to gain popularity from making an animatic, that is genuinely, unapologetically FANTASTIC. And I think I found a new one to add to that list.
Both works well. Dear Evan Hansen is supposed to be sad and tragic and the characters don't know what to do (especially Evan since he has social anxiety). In miraculous its also good in the sense that it is more happy :)
Yeah both work good but this works better to me... I mean didn't he abuse his sister? And Evan is trying to say his love through her dead brother. Right? It's been a long time for me so maybe I'm wrong, but this works a bit better I think.
