- LA, we love ya! Between shooting with some of their favourite music brands over in Los Angeles, Meg & Dagan take a whistle stop tour of all the amazing locations you HAVE to visit if you're a musician heading to the city of angels!
First off starting at the USA's equivalent to our PMT here in the UK, Guitar Center! It's a sight to behold before you even get inside, all your favourite guitar legends are immortalised in the concrete 'Rock walk of Fame' outside, with the handprints of some of the greatest musicians and guitar players to ever walk the earth! Les Paul, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, ZZ Top, and so many more! It gets Even crazier inside too with some very famous guitars on show! You cant forget the beautiful Eddie Van Halen 'Long Live The King' mural now at the back of GC, honouring the LA native.
We then head to Venice Beach which just has that buzz that musicians and the creative thrive in! So much history on the boardwalk, The Doors were formed right here by Jim Morrison, it was an amazing place to check out!
We then headed to Hollywood Boulevard to check out the legendary names honoured underneath our feet on the Walk Of Fame and other highlights of the strip; Hollywoods Hard Rock Cafe, The Grammy Museum, The Dolby Theatre where the Oscars are held - yeah the place is crazy!

This takes me back. Way back. Lived there in '86-'87, I was 23 and not a care in the world. Best single year of my life. Venice was always my destination. Best quote I've heard about Venice Beach: "It's where art and crime meet"

Great video guys, I lived in San Diego and have been to Hollywood lots of times (and now avoid it) but really enjoyed the video, your energy is perfect.
The original Guitar Center was close - across the street about half block away. 🎸

I'm pretty sure Jim Morrison didn't play guitar, he left that to Robby Krieger, I'm reading Robby's book Set the night on fire. But he probably read poetry there and he met Ray there on the beach, so close enough, enjoying this series.

"selling shit advice for a Dollar"...I know what you mean though,he talks much too fast,so much so he gets himself tongue-tied quite often....I`m English and struggle to keep up,especially with his Northern accent so I bet quite a few Yanks will be struggling to follow what he`s saying...sounds like he`s either really nervous and eager to impress or he`s just done a massive line of Charlie/Whiz.

Done Hollywood Boulevard and wasn't impressed. Full of junk shops and spaced out beggars. LA is a city of extremes. Quite sad. Although most cities in USA are the same.
