- For math teachers across the nation who are eager to teach dual-enrollment or at the college level and seek more effective ways to build deeper relationships with their students, Radford University is the ideal choice. The Online Math Education Graduate Program at Radford is designed to bring what teachers learn directly into their classrooms, ensuring a lasting impact on both teaching methods and student outcomes. Radford University offers two programs in mathematics education: a 36-hour Master’s in Education with a concentration in Mathematics Education and an 18- hour Graduate Mathematics Education Certificate for those who already hold a master’s degree. Both programs include graduate-level mathematics content that meets the requirements for teaching dual-enrollment or college-level courses. The master’s degree program also emphasizes culturally responsive mathematics teaching, a proven approach for strengthening teacher-student relationships. Our program includes designing and instructing culturally relevant math tasks, lesson planning, and incorporating technology and data-driven action research. Teachers can make this a central focus of their research or teaching goals, transforming their approach as they advance through the program with the support of the Radford team.
