Good work., Bud! A couple of questions: A. Did your wagon come with dampening adjustment in cabin? B. Are you now getting error codes (if your car in fact came with in cabin dampening adjustment). How are you dealing with this? TIA!
Good questions..I should have answered these in my video. I do NOT have adjustable suspension on mine, so it was something I didn't need to consider. For dampening adjustability inside, there are some aftermarket options that used to exist, like Tein EDFC, but not sure people are using those much anymore or their compatibility. As for if I did have adjustable and switched to coilovers, Ive seen some aftermarket ones have cancellers which fools the car to thinking that it's still on (the kia stinger had that with some coilovers). But you generally lose adjustability if going to coilovers. In that instance, you may want to use lowering springs and not coilovers so you can keep dampening control functionality in cabin.
@@Emadifications Thank you for your swift and informative reply. I am in a W212 E63. We have dampening control from the center console. I pretty much always have it in the stiffest setting anyway. I dun care for it. I am aware that some companies have these electronic gizmos to cancel out the error code when something of this nature is done, but sadly, for the W212 4MATIC with rear AirMatic there are no aftermarket solutions as of yet. Will keep a look out for your next vid!
Hello! What the specifications on the coilovers that you ordered? Comfort or sport? Spring/damping stiffness? Soft or medium? Also, is helper spring needed?
But if I use H&R lower springs for w213 sedan I think it would lower a little more, I just bought a w213 e400 wagon and I'm researching to see what would be best to lower front
I have the same wagon. , I think I am going to get the H&R lowering springs with links. I just want it to lower the vehicle little bit , I already put Maxton full body kit and replace the wheels for the 10 spoke amg wheel model size 20 inch with 245/40 and 275/35 offset is +35 front and +38 rear, only thing is the front canards on bumper they cannot attach to good to bumper the edge , the double tape seems a s not too strong to hold it I can see almost 1/2 inch separation, how to fix ? Any strong glue from body shop will work ? Any recommendations?
Your wagon sounds awesome! Any pics? Instagram or so? As for the canards, yes they took a few applications to get on perfectly. I bought gorilla double sided tape, the strongest one they had. It's holding up for now. I will say, there are some areas that stick up a bit but not noticeable unless looking very closely. I didn't use an adhesive cause I want it to be removable if needed with ease. As for the H&R, if you're even looking to lower a tiny bit, I wouldn't. I honestly don't think it dropped the car at all. I was just out $$. The rear links, you can find cheaper ones instead of buying the whole kit from h&r. If you want to lower, I'd spend the $700 and get front coilovers and get whatever height you want, vs spending 300-400$ and getting virtually no drop at all. plus, coilovers are easier to install! Ha ha

👌👌👌👌
Thank you! It's getting there!
looks really nice at that height.
Looks better now with my other wheels back on and the rear lowered finally!
New subscriber nice s213

Sport, low, medium, and no helper spring.

I recommend just going with these coilovers. It works and they're good. I'm not messing with guessing on springs anymore.
What size your wheels and tires please
@@fabi0favarett0 in this video, 20x9 +35 . 265/35/20 tires but I'd go thicker next time.
Any recommendations on places to get the lowering links cheaply. Most I have seen are over $120.
Oh wow. Let me check. Mine came with the springs but I'll get back to you.

Most are around that price. But did find some from China on eBay for $80. I think they'll be fine. Even the ones I have feel super cheap.
