- Minecraft tutorial on how to LavaCast towers, cast walls, stairs and pyramids with lava and water to create perfect cobblestone structure without placing the blocks yourself. I have been lava casting since 2011, but finally decided to make this video, hop it helps you get into the world of casting cobblestone with lava and water!

Due to some weird changes with the behavior of which flowing water interacts with the lava, it has become impossible to lava cast structures like towers. I presume they were changes because before 1.16 lava casting worked normally.
@@dominicvancuyck1799 Maybe you do not play minecraft java edition on windows? Heard all consoles and bedrock have problems..

Nah bro all you need is spruce saplings and bone meal. Though now that I think about it, I kinda want to lavacast a giant spruce (or jungle, they have extra branches)
What I want to do is make a massive lavacast pyramid, build a gold farm under it, cover it with gold blocks to make it a beautiful ziggurat, and then carve out hallways into it and such until I've created a beautiful temple of gold.

Man! I've been doing this the last two weeks, and its funny because we ended up with the same technic. Those two last blocks you put at the top to poor the water on, just shaked my heart. I didn't know you could remove the lava or the water with the same bucket tho. Keep up the good content!

I just started casting recently and came up with some cool casts on my own. After I saw a video about 2b2t alternatives showing constantium and the spawn obelisks I had to find out if more people had come up with casts. This video is awesome and this art has to be super unexplored.
Great video. I was casting in survival using lava flowing over water source blocks with makes stone.
I messed up and accidentally did lava casting making cobblestone.

I was playing around with lava, trees and water one day in creative. That was weeks and weeks ago. So guess I discovered LavaCasting before I know it was a thing. I haven't tried it yet, but I assume the huge jungle trees would make a good template for a nice tower with a bunch of space inside.

By the way try it, it makes mobs dig into your base on all nights (if they spawn with a pick) and on invasion nights, REALLY mess up your shit:D Tower defense baby, literally. So fun, and now i can get started on my castle without feeling like im wasting precious daylight (though, doubled in length, in the pack) on height

Subscribed you explain things very eloquently and of course i appreciate the methods of demonstrating - via branching off of other units that you then demonstrate to us later. Its like building blocks! Edit: Testing in the pack commences, to see why lavacasts are not working properly :P prob one of the bugfix/optimization mods, it shall be figured out and fixed one day soon-ish-ish
It reminds me of how people of older civs would come up with really clever ways to do things efficiently

You can actually cast hollow structures with chaotic interiors as well. Create an expansion cone and place lava, then water. Then dig a hole and help guide the water down making chaotic floors of cobblestone that look like fungal staircases and platforms and becomes full of dangerous mobs.
