How to LAVA CAST a CASTLE in Minecraft, when you don't want to build it!

- Have you ever wondered how people create those big lava cast pyramids? Or wondered if you could do more with lava casting than just ruin other people's builds? Well, in this video I give a quick introduction to lava casting and show a few ways to cast in a build-oriented way.
In the second half of the video, I create an entire castle with surrounding walls, by lava casting everything!

That's actually really impressive considering it was just water and lava... try lava casting a survival base, and adding detail, I bet you could be a good let's player

This was a great demonstration of lava casting! If you're up for the challenge I'd love to see what kind of a survival starter base you would build with this technique.

there's nothing better to me than building a massive lavacast in survival and seeing other people marvel at my ungodly creation is amazing. You've found a nice alternate use!

I saw lava casting to make actual builds instead of griefing, and I was wondering the best way to do it. Happy that I found this!
Just discovering this and honestly this is awesome! I'm working on my building skills and trying my first castle, but as a mom it can be super time consuming. Lavacasting seems like a good way to create the simole structure so then I can go back and slowly replace the cobble with permanent blocks❤
Granted I know going back and replacing all the cobble would be a chore, but since it takes me forever to have time and focus to gather all the materials, it'd be nice to have a quick temp structure to come back to as I gather materials for the big builds.

Very nice! I've been trying to make castles and bases with lava casting too. I really like the idea of making quick survival lava casting bases. I and i think many would love to see more lava cast building video's!

insane building! I don't think i could do this in a lifetime if i tried , as an idea you can also use scaffolding , since you can stack scaffolding 6 blocks on each side and you can do it at any level of the tower , i can't fathom the endless possibilities of what you can do with this in survival.

Uhm good question, i still have that world so i could find out, but the Thing is it was made over a year ago, so with the new world generation its probably not gonna be exactly the same 😅
imo the bare lavacasting with the bottoms messy looks better. Gives it a more early minecraft and rough feeling. Castle still looks cool asf tho
I probably couldnt see myself leaving but bottoms messy, but I for sure agree that it can give the build that same feeling my childhood minecraft builds had. Which is a Nice sort of nostalgi now😊

fun fact if theres a server with less admins and less developed you might be able to grief spawn with this by playing the lava high so it flows more and keep going
That is true, but I personally don't have fun griefing so I wouldn't recomend it, I would say onlu use lava casting for what is agreed upon within the server. :D

Use scaffolding and gravel to make forms for the casting, moss blocks are the best temporary block like dirt because they break super fast and are not flammable. Scaffolding will burn easy if it catches fire but for some reason it never burns in lava.

Thanks! And time spent... it's been a while since I did the build so I'm not 100% sure, but I think somwhere between 2-3 hours ;-)
So I tried making the first tower and watched how you made it 5 times and I can only get it to cast 2 blocks down, does this not work on bedrock?
Hi, yeah the towers I cast in this video only work on java. I do have another video specifically sowcasing how to make a similar castle but on bedrock, so if you are interested you can take a look on that video :D
