Both 1996 (R) Viper GTS and 1996 Viper GTS-R are some of the best cars in Gran Turismo 1 along with Cerbera LM (also returned in GT2), S14 Silvia LM, and Maxed Out Supra RZ.
I don't know what it is, but they have never been able to replicate the playability of the single player mode from the early GT's. After GT4 it just got a little.....rubbish.
They made the A.I slower just so the 90s kids won't break the controllers, game, consoles, etc. Because the economy was so good at times that even immigrants were able to afford for their children and we all know the more siblings there are, the more dramas you'll see or hear!!

@@riderzincGran Turismo 1 despite only had 21 tracks and 140 cars in total, it still has 10/10 fun factor.
The Viper GTS (tuned to the max with right gear ration and settings) is even better than the price car Viper GTS-R
