Very ingenious setup sir. I wish extra-capacity batteries were available in stock size for the older DJI Phantom series. I would love to have such extended flight times made possible for my Phantom 3.
thank's for the interest from this experiment, this is for a quick test to make conclution, my opinion from this test is..if i use original li-ion battery (not fake cheap like this) and if we can set the minimum voltage for the battery on the P3S to for example 3v, i believe it can fly more than 30 minutes easy
Though lithium is absolutly volatile and can be dangerous as heck... its not a piece of dynamite. many many many people diy lithium power walls to power their house. If doing something like that never crossed your mind before reading this... then yiou are not the type of person who should be doing that type of thing lol

@@spartan3299 attaching the landing gear is only suitable for a tractor or pusher engine but with the propeller position on top (similar to a skywalker), I don't understand how you would fly it for a harrier without scratching the propellers into the ground 🙄
@@snahojnavarro8855 i'm not sure which connector do you mean, there are xt60 and balance connector, so i will explain both connector, xt60 is for the main power i put paralel thats why i said 4s2p ot mean two 4s battery in paralel, the balance connector are for charging because this is liion not lifefe battery like the original dji battery so we cant charging with dji charger to charge

As you can see, I want to make a battery just like yours because i Lost the battery when it crashed, so I do'nt have the original dji battery. Now the drone wont recognize any external battery. @@snahojnavarro8855 oh it still use dji bms, thats why you see the head of dji battery are still intack, i just remove the original cell from it and replace with liion, of couse not that simple you will brick the board if you cut the dji cell, for that you must carefull to put the liion first and then remove the original cell

Она не разрешает садиться при якобы низком заряде аккумулятлра. Кстати для размышления: в неоригинальных аккумуляторах phantom 3 применяют lipo а не lihv. Ее плата bms похоже обманывает полетный контроллер так как lipo имеет заряд ниже. Если у Вас все получится, то Вы первый кто это сделает.

i'm using CP2112 method, you can search the howto from google there are plenty people using it, but carefull you also need to know what version bmc from the pcb of battery because not all can be unlock (only the old version) i'm forgot which one because this is a long time a go
for charging cycles endurance converting to li-ion you're right JD is a good deal, but if we look at it from weight to flight time ratio not worth it for this phantom 3 (same as stock battery), too much pulling amp and li-ion is not happy with that
