"Ollie, your eyes are leaking." ~ Robin Williams as Mork from Ork.
If you're not aware, Ollie, "Mork and Mindy" was the TV series that made Robin Williams famous. The character originally appeared as a one off on the hit TV series "Happy Days". The character was so well received that he had a couple of other appearances on that series, which spun off "Mork and Mindy". Mork was an alien from the planet Ork who was sent to earth to observe the people and make a report at the end of every episode. He lived in the attic of an apartment rented by Mindy.
Whenever somebody on the show would cry --- usually Mindy --- his response was always, "your eyes are leaking."

I absolutely adore this film. Without Kevin Smith becoming a producer on the film Good Will Hunting, no studio wanted either Matt Damon nor Ben Affleck in the lead roles. Even though they had both written the screenplay, the studios considered them to be unknowns. Kevin Smith, thankfully, convinced them otherwise. Please watch Clerks.(1994)

Damon and Affleck were teen actors that were close in the field. While they both had multiple small roles in films, this was definitely their breakout film. I was only familiar with from the movie “School Ties” before this.
The film was up for multiple Oscars but only one Best Original Screenplay for Damon/Affleck. Should have won Best Picture and Best Director as well but it was against Titanic, which I’ve never been a fan of. Van Sant, the director, also directed a fantastic film called “My Own Private Idaho” which is absolutely worth watching.

I would think Damon probably did most of the heavy lifting on the screenplay being that he got into Haaaavard and all. Maybe Affleck threw in a few things here and there like the story that Skylar told in the bar. 😂

    "Do you like apples?"
    "Yeah."
"Well, I got her number. How do you like them apples?"
Fun Fact: Director Gus Van Sant painted the picture that hangs in Sean Maguire's (Robin Williams) office.
Five Year Dream Fact: The very first day of the shooting, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck started crying out of happiness, because it was a scene between Robin Williams and Stellan Skarsgård, accomplished actors, doing Damon's and Affleck's scene verbatim, and they had waited so long (five years) for this to happen.
What Script Fact: The lines in the scene when Sean talks about his late wife's farting antics were ad-libbed by Robin Williams. That is why Matt Damon was laughing so hard. If you watch the scene carefully, you can notice the camera shaking a bit, possibly due to the cameraman laughing as well. Robin Williams' last line in the film "Son of a bitch. He stole my line" was also ad-libbed.
MIT Connection Fact: Matt Damon, a former Harvard student, originally intended to make the title character a physics prodigy. He discussed his idea with Sheldon L. Glashow, a Nobel laureate in physics and, at the time, a Harvard professor. Glashow told him that the premise did not ring true to him: he suggested that the main character be a math prodigy instead. He referred Damon to his brother-in-law, Daniel Kleitman, a professor of mathematics at MIT, who provided advice on the story. Both Glashow and Kleitman are thanked in the credits.

I remember when they filmed the bench scene in May, 1997. But I couldn't see Matt Damon or Robin Williams. Much of the park had spotlights, trailers and equipment. I also remember that bench with flowers and candles in August, 2014, after Robin Williams took his life.

Another Matt Damon movie you should watch is "Hereafter". This is a hidden gem, no one on UA-cam has reacted to this film. It was directed by Clint Eastwood and produced by Steven Spielberg. The reason why very few people knew about this film is because - it flopped when it first came out in the cinema. 1/3 of this movie is in French and Americans hate movies with subtitle, it's a pity because it's a very good movie.

Highly recommend the film “Finding Forrester” (2000). A film I wish more movie reactors would react to. I consider it a “spiritual sequel” to “Good Will Hunting”. Both films not only share similar themes but were also directed by Gus Van Sant, one of my favorite directors who has a filmography worth checking out. I love your videos, Ollie!

    The title has two meanings:
The character's name, Will Hunting being good, and hunting for good will. To have good will for something is like to have good intentions and motivations, a.k.a., will.

1:54: Yes, Ben Affleck & Matt Damon wrote the movie, it says so in the credits. No seriously, it's right there. 9:15: that inmate is Harmony Korine, has a new movie out called Aggro Dr1ft but you should do a reaction to his famous film, Gummo. 14:45: You're right, there's no way that Ben Affleck & Matt Damon wrote this story, even though it's been in the credits for almost 30 years? 41:00: Yeah, it's in the credits. They both wrote The Last Duel, directed by Ridley Scott, who also directed The Martian which starred who? Promised Land and Gerry were also written by Matt Damon, the director of this movie, and a famous member of The Office (US). Why do we have to do the heavy lifting here?

"My Nose is Crying" Really?....don't say stupid shit like that trying to be cute or different please. Just react genuinely with the focus on the movie...not on you. Those reactors that do that are the ones with growing channels. The ones where it is clear that the channel is all about the reactor are the ones who fade away. 1) From my experience, one doesn't need to "try" to be cute / different... it comes out naturally, and if YOU don't like what comes out, don't watch him. I consistently follow 18 different reactors for different reasons, and the reason THIS one is one of those 18 is because of the random stuff that he says. Never mind "My nose is crying"- some OTHER stuff he says has made me roll on the floor laughing and think "You can't make this stuff up" lol.
      2) I myself have said out loud things like that before, like one time I was showing my roommate a REALLY really funny video that almost made me stop breathing... I managed to get out (since I was surprised), "My left eye is leaking" (just my left one though). I thought it was funny, so I said it. It's what reactors do, so let them be, lol.
