Thank God you showed how to put the carabiner down. *edit. My Mom said back in the 70s she had to drive someones VW Bug. They told my Mom, "push down for reverse" .. So she tried putting it in reverse and couldnt do it. Well as it turns out its exactly like that carabiner. Not down as lower lever settings. You literally had to push the stick down toward the ground.

Snagged two on sale for $25 each, plus $4 each for engravings. Gave one to a coworker as a gift. Overall fantastic knife, but the scales are definitely worth replacing, as they are just boring plastic. Not a difficult fix, though.
I know they look boring, but believe me they're reliable. I have one in my pocket for daily use for about 2 years now. Gucci scale handles get damaged easily.
Absolutely love your UA-cam channel. I am looking for a replacement to a Leatherman c33t. I love the idea of this knife but want a better opening knife with these features. Do you have a recommendation?
@@llama307 i later found out as a decision to buy many as an asset position. THEY ALL have this ISSUE. Its 100% A TIGHTNESS RELATED ISSUE. If u have the special torx sizes for the bits . (TORX T8 FOR THE SCALES). (TORX T6 FOR THE CLIP). Then u can fix the issue in LEGENDARY fashion. Doing that with a touch of edible posion free mineral oil. An u got urself and optimal survival bad ass switch blade knife with added features . This information is so vital. I am kinda bothered it isn't openly stated by leatherman if it's gna be such an issue. I bought 80 of these. 1 for personal and 1 for family member. EVERY SINGLE 1. HAD this issue. So. If some how u get 1 without it. U litteraly hit the lottery. Sad to say. Its the reality on this 1. But BECAUSE this multi tool knife is so LEGENDARY. The tightness issue doesn't warrant deciding NOT to buy. Buy these while u can ladys an gents!!! As of my comment the remaining stock on leathermans site is in the 200s. It's gna be scalp city here if u want 1 in no more than a few months. So ACT WHILE U CAN. keep up the good content as allways. Cheers man. 🤙🤙🤙👍👍👍😎
A lot of it is just getting the hang of it...when I first got my Crater years ago, I couldn't get it to launch for awhile, I kept playing with it and figured it out. It's a matter of how fast you flip your finger on that little button...it'll open as fast as a switchblade once you get the hang of it. Wish I could still buy another one of these somewhere, they are great knives.
I didn't realize you could still buy these brand new at a reasonable price these days. I ordered one...hope it has the quick launcher, I know some of them do not have it. Either way, it's a great knife though.

That blade launcher not being on point 100% id send it back for 1 that is not defective like that.
I think its just stiff from being new, should get better with more use
