In today's episode of Shoe Care Academy cleaning tutorials, Vick shows how to clean these Nike Air Max 270s that he wore in a mud run! Vick started off by cleaning the upper's using the soft brush to get the dried mud off. It took a few passes, however, the mesh cleaned up pretty nicely. He then cleaned the inside of the shoe with the same soft brush. Moving onto the midsole, he used the medium brush to get a deep scrub, he then finished off the outsole using the stiff brush. Since the shoe has mesh materials, it needed to go into the washer. Using the normal cycle, cold water settings, Vick let the shoes wash for about an hour. I have the white ones and they can get a bit grubby, I put in the washer on low heat and the black Nike logo ink is wearing down. Any suggestions on what to use to add in the dark black small Nike logos ?
I’d recommend not throwing them in the dryer and just letting them air dry, and for the Nike logo the heat is what is causing it to fade away so u can prolly just get some black paint and some scotch tape and cut out around the logo and repaint it that way but I’m not to sure on what kind of paint to use.

Whaaat on a Thursday as well😮😁...Lets get it started....but most of cleaning wasn't necessary, soft bristle and water most would have came out and clean w/o a wash machine because wasn't white colored

A heat gun will remove the haze on air units. Don't apply to much heat or you can pop them.

Cold water ig, signature cleaning kit, don’t wet the suede or u could possible risk a lot, use the dry suede kit it’s very simple but effective

How do you remove the film from the air unit? I’ve tried rubbing alcohol, baking soda, Vaseline, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, acetone, car wax, headlight cleaner, pencil eraser. Nothing’s worked. Help!

I had 7-8 pairs of 270 yes the most comfortable shoes but if the bubble pops that’s it for that shoe I take care of my shoes and at that the bubble don’t seem to hold on for long
