    Nice and clear instructions, the hard part for me is getting under the car without a pit or ramps!

      Sorry to hear that, but yes some ramps or axle stands are very much needed..

    Just changed the Jazz engine oil and oil filter today. I used the HSK oil filter with Motul eco 100% synthetic engine oil. The old washer on the sump plug was jammed and had to be pryed open with flathead screw diver.
    The sump plug socket size is 17mm and the engine under tray screws are crossheads but on mine, one had a T-25 mm also.
    There are two plastic push fit ones at the rear also.
    I had the car on Sealy ramps and this made sure most of the old engine oil drained out as car was raised equally at the front.
    The oil and the oil filter are expensive but i don't have to change for a whole year and i dont do too much mileage.
    All the stuff i got was from reputable ebay sellers.
    The oil was about £43 for 5 litres and filter was £16, sump plug washer £1. Quality stuff. The HSK filter is magnetized and catches finer microns of dirt. Car is very quiet now and slick.

    Motul 8100 eco energy 100% 0W-30 Full Synthetic engine oil.
    This is one of only a handful of true synthetic based engine oils and I believe this is the best engine oil specification for the Honda Jazz. Don't get confused with full synthetic because this is still crude based oil even though it states "full synthetic" on the oil tub but they may have excellent additives. Its only a true synthetic oil if it says 100% full synthetic on the tub.

    You didn't prime your filter. It's best to put a bit of oil into the filter before you screw it on to avoid the chance of a dry start when you run the engine to flush the new oil around

    Do you agree if I tell you that with 5w-30 oil this engines have a slight "tak-tak" noise?

    • @DaringBeefcake
      @DaringBeefcake  4 роки тому

      I haven’t heard that noise, but if you are in a very hot place then maybe you should use slightly thicker oil.

    5w30? What oils are you using guys? Which one is recommended to jazz 2005 1.4?

      I use 0W-30. It's the same viscosity as 5W-30 at operating temperature but flows better when cold. Especially good for cold weather. Honda doesn't just recommend one oil, there is a range listed in the service manual based on climate. www.hondafitjazz.com/manual/A00/PNG/SAA2E970000000K0081BAAD01.PNG

      Depending where you live. But yes usually it’s ok. 5W/40 or 10w/40 are ok.

      ATF is for gearbox. NOT good for engine, no para el motor.
