Rep. Mike Johnson is in his third term representing the 4th Congressional District of Louisiana. He represents nearly 760,000 residents of 15 parishes in the northwest and western regions of the state. Mike was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives on December 10, 2016, by the largest margin of victory in his region in more than 50 years and is currently serving his third term. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 1995, and then his Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 1998. Before joining Congress, Johnson was a partner in the Kitchens Law Firm and a senior attorney and national media spokesman for the Alliance Defense Fund, now known as Alliance Defending Freedom. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the House Republican Conference-the No. 4 ranked Republican in Congress-is a leader on the Judiciary and Armed Services Committees, and serves as an Assistant Whip for House Republicans. Last Congress, he served as Chairman of the Republican Study Committee, known as the "intellectual arsenal" and the largest caucus of conservatives in Congress. Prior to becoming elected to the U.S. Congress, Johnson served as a constitutional law litigator for nearly 20 years.

So grateful to have Johnson for our new Speaker. The man is godly, brilliant, courageous, strong and willing to serve at this difficult time. Lord watch over both of these men, protect and empower them.
So today it's reported that Johnson has changed his position and now he's claiming that there's suddenly not sufficient evidence to impeach Biden. He's compromised on doing at least two CR's, And he's going to grant Ukraine money now, the very reason McCarthy was unseated. Perhaps he cannot impeach because to do so will affirm that Biden is factually the legally elected POTUS.
My grandmother wouldn't believe we would be able to achieve this and I'm with you I think he's the real deal based on how hostile everyone has been to his associations.
No one seeking political fame and glory would walk that path
All sorts of evil has been justified in the name of God. Johnson’s lack of integrity is demonstrated by his failure to certify Biden’s victory.
The left calls him a Christian Fascist so he must be doing something right.

I’m not young but I have always wanted to make a difference in the world. Sir, you have inspired me to get involved in my community politically as I feel it is where my calling and experience, as old as I am, 62 to be honest, lies. I was young and stupid, never paid attention to politics. I’d like to redeem myself for turning a blind eye to the world around me. I focused on myself and those closest to me without realizing there’s a higher meaning and calling to life. Thank you, Jordan. You’ve opened something in me that I hope benefits my community.
The best work you could do is: Teach and train your own family, open their eyes and ears so they and their families don't be part of the problem in the present and future. The old generations are expected to teach the young to be zealous for justice and truth, and now the young is part of the problem because of the passive parents and grandparents, criminals take control because the naive voted for them. The young destroy themselves for voting their evil master in control. Make a difference in your family, then if many do that there will be hope for the future.

This man. He just never stops. He is always heading in the direction of what he believes, and as we all watch, he continues to try and help as many people as possible to reclaim responsibility of their own experience in the human condition. It is a phenomenal body of work, and we get to see it take place in real time. At this point, we have to acknowledge that Dr. Peterson is a force to be reckoned with, and he does it all without ever picking up a weapon, or having to force anyone else to bend to his will. Exactly as he has described a congruent, consistent, and determined individual who chooses to be the best person possible, with any and all faucets, education and dispositions available to them to do so.
It’s called. “Being the change you want to see in the world”. No honest human being can look at this man, his work and dedication. Whether you agree or disagree, and not feel genuine respect.

A particular point I appreciate JP brought up is that true compassion for others needs to be paired with a sense of duty not to act on their behalf, or at least not solely on their behalf, but to instead build them the tools they need to act for themselves and hopefully from there they can begin acting for others. Solving problems for others reduces their discomfort, but its hollow. You only remove a discomfort, you aren't giving them the tools to find dignity and purpose and one day help others in finding the same. In my own clinical practice, as soon as one of my clients is out of crisis, we immediately start working with community partners to find ways they can better integrate with their community and find their own way. Connecting them with sports team, job agencies, reconnecting with family and friends, church groups, LGBT support groups, AA, anyone who can provide community. In JP terms, compassion without responsibility is the tyrannical mother. In the name of providing comfort, you destroy their humanity, trapping them in an infantile state as they lose all sense of agency and expect immediate gratification of their needs from others.
Exactly. "I'm sorry for you, have some money.". It never helps, it just creates dependency and robs people of their motivation and chances for success.

Yes. Beware of people who claim to hate religion out of a love of freedom -- often it's a _hatred_ of freedom that leads to that hatred of religion. Although in the end, the opposition to Christian religion leads to the ascendancy of chaos, and on to the abolition of freedom, whether you love freedom or hate it.

What a great conversation between two very intellectual men. Much love as always to Jordan, super impressed with Mike Johnson on the other side. This seems like a narrative that should be the foundation of the primary discussions we as a people should be focused on. If power and greed could be stripped from our consciousness we would only have the desire to help each other and prosper together. It has been pre-installed by God, but like everything human related...the "choices" we make hold grave consequences when things of the world are held up. Like hamsters on a wheel we spin....Praise God for delivering us from this world.

I've been very perturbed by the current situation of our country, and our neighbors. I am going to finally join my local church. The largest Nazarene church in the US is actually in my town, right down the street, actually. I hope I can serve the lord and my community and make an impact on myself and others.
I am happy to hear sound doctrine of what is in today’s society. It is imperative to understand the issues and values. Only if society can understand the morality of humanity and help them to understand the meaning of why we are here.

Im of the mind that things are just to far gone in the US and Canada so no voting for any of them will help. People like me will stick to people like myself, and the opposite. I'm ok with being segregated to hang out with people only like me. The last couple years changed me drastically.
And, then they get mad about religious regiment. Like, bruh culturally I’m encouraged to reproduce with a Jew. Why the hell wouldn’t I want to check off that box? I’m literally satisfying my obligations as a Jew and a believer in Christ. America has just gotten so spoiled and lazy everyday now is a contest about who can whine the loudest. Now, there are options out there. But, unfortunately everybody seems to want their own Jesus. I hate to break it to them but Jesus is not going to stop being a Jew. There is no Romanian Jesus. There is no Hawaiian Jesus. There is no Eskimo Jesus. The man has no competition. He blows every witch doctor and shaman outta the water, periodt. That’s fine if they want their own culturally religious holy man. But, it’s pretty clear that Jesus is far ahead of any man no matter how influential or beloved they may be😆

In 2020, enough people voted to push the other side’s ‘fortifiers’ into making a lot of mistakes - which if nothing else, at very least let us see it happening so we know it, and there are indications that in 2016 there were enough of us to overwhelm their expected scale of operation and so even overcame it.
If the chance that it might still help isn’t worth the 2 hours of ‘work’ every 2 years that it would take, I’ll just have to disagree.
Edit: To clarify, I absolutely do not think it is all we should do, but I see no reason to surrender that ground when it takes so little effort to keep it. Why grant them legitimacy by just letting them win legitimately?
It sounds as if you have completely lost hope. That can only lead to demise. I encourage you to interact with those who do still have hope and are moving to improve the world around us and interacting with people who also have hope and deeds of improving things. Once you lose hope, you are done. Hoping you can find encouragement. Try following the conservative people who are DOING things to make our lives better and strengthening our country through participating in activities that reflect love of country and our fellow man. One never knows the influence one has on those around us.🇺🇸🙏
