Rob has (and always had) except his very strong interpretational talents also a very distinct stage presence. Some mixture between an metal android and a human brain, or was it vice versa? Anyway, he manages to no only sing but to present songs in quite an uncopiable way. LIke here - not that very high screaming, but then again immediately recognizable, the metal god. I don´t think we have many other such recognizable characters in metal.

I'm with you on that. I saw them live in 2004 and it was just great, and Halford was superb!! But this is a bit weak just like the DVD Rising in the east, which is not really that brilliant. They can do much better than that.

Nah, Sabbath created metal, priest revolutioned it and it became heavy metal. They took out the bluesparts in the metal. Maiden came later, without priest maiden wouldn´t exist.

One of the best heavy rock bands ever. Saw these guys in Tacoma, Wash. in the late eighties, stone cold sober. What a fucking great show!!!
