    I really apprieciate the effort you spend in the making of this video.
    However, It would be a good idea for you to pause the screen a little bit after you introduce some phrases/ words, so that we can take notes of them. The pause doesnt have to be long though, only 10 seconds or less.
    I find it a little bit unconvenient to constantly press the Pause button on UA-cam to take notes of new words/ phrases you give in the video.
    All in all, thank you so much for providing us with free but high-quality content here on UA-cam.

    Liked & subscribed! Question: How about "sometimes" and "other times?" Do you say, "Sometimes, I go to bed early; other times, late?" Or, "Sometimes, I go to bed early; sometimes, late." Do you use "sometimes..., other times..." or "sometimes..., sometimes...?" Which one is correct? Thank you.

    • @Speakconfidentenglish
      @Speakconfidentenglish  Рік тому +2

      Thanks for the question. Both of your examples could be used. There is little to no difference between using 'other times' vs. 'sometimes' in the second part of your example sentence. However, saying "Sometimes I go to be early" implies that it isn't always true. There's an understanding that at other times you may go to bed late so you could also leave out the second part of the sentence.

    I'd like to know when to stress the words in a sentence. I always hear you , in fact many native speakers do, stress the preposition "to". However, many English teachers are telling the English learners not to stress any prepositions in a sentence because they are not content words. Please help.

    • @Speakconfidentenglish
      @Speakconfidentenglish  Рік тому +1

      Hi, thank you for the request. I'll certainly consider a lesson on this in the future; however, I will say that most of the time the word 'to' is reduced. There may be times when it is spoken clearly (this doesn't mean it is stressed, only that it isn't reduced) or may even be stressed for a specific reason (such as clarification). Do you have a specific example you can share with me? It would be helpful if I could listen to an example you're thinking about.

    They are linking words but if you can express yourself with fewer words conveying the same sense you should strive to speak clearly and briefly. Use linking words only when really necessary. There is no need to add words just so so you appear smarter.
