For the chrome effect to stay with regular polish, you need a water based layer, like a peely base or I've even seen some people use a thin layer of glue lol. Then you can put regular top coat over that once it's dry.
that turned out beautiful! this is perfect timing. I was planning on doing something like this tonite with shimmer polishes and a maniology butterfly stamping plate. Now I have to check my chrome powders! Thanks for the tips on top coat. Looking forward to the followup testing. I just got the maniology aqua topper so I might have to try that over a chrome powder test.

Great video! Can't wait to see your comparison. I recorded one a while back with products from here in Brazil, that I am still to edit and post, and from my side only gel top coat really worked like it should. One random top coat here came close, but not really.

Yep, one of them was water based and didn't work as expected. I'm preparing a video to try other options 👍
