this has been one of my most played songs over the past couple years and I never watched the video. What the hell? What was I thinking. This is amazing
This is one of my favorite songs of all time. I met my wife and married her when we were very young. We were also very young parents, and in the beginning I struggled trying to find a job to pay for us all. I got into a plumbing apprenticeship by the grace of God when we needed it most, and this is one of the anthems of my life. I just wanted a humble and stable life, and make sure we'd all be ok. I'm now 48 with 27 and 23 year old sons that have grown into incredible, smart, talented young men. I credit my wife for a lot of it, but I'm happy that I could be there to help when I could.
I've tried to classify Tyler as country but I can't. I can't limit him to one set genre at all. In fact, I can't think of any other artist that even sounds like him!!
I lost my wife while training in the Air Force on Jan 10, I did it for her and I among other reasons but now shes not here share this journey with me. This song expresses my deepest love for her and most cherish moments of her. I love her til my lungs give out. Thank you for writing this song. To be honest, I never thought Ill love country music as much as i do now, but you(and others) have cemented my love and appreciation for this genre.

@RestlessRiver down here in the southern part of the U.S.A, ole lady or ole man is your wife /husband or live in girlfriend or boyfriend, parents are maw and paw or mom and dad, unless you live in the projects, which in that case you don't who you're dad is
Well cry then 💪❤. As a gay guy, and my preference is a guy who's all-boy and likes to go fishing and work on cars and into football like I am...point is, I probably channel w/in myself the same likes that chicks do in guys...being all-boy and coming in w/dirty hands working on his truck, HOT, lol, but tough and making it happen and knows all kinds of stuff...and I know, guys have to be strong and stoic, esp. among other guys, they view crying as perhaps weakness, but I'm telling you, THERE'S NOTHING more endearing, lovable, and true than a guy also being an empath underneath being a tough boy, who shows he cares, from his heart, to be affected by something that means so much that it moves him to tears. So go with it my man, and if it overcomes you, just let it....there's not a more beautiful show of love and caring. Best of luck to your wife's health and recovery, and God bless you both with many more years of happiness together.

Thank you Tyler Childers, my best friend was killed last week by a drunk driver. We did it all together, fishin, mushroom huntin, metal detecting, riding the country roads getting high, tripping, you name it we did it together. He was my best buddy. Not just best friend, THE best friend. My brother, hell he was closer to me than my own biological brothers. He meant the world to me. He loved your music, he was always telling me to give you a listen and i just shrugged it off until tonight, almost a week since he’s been gone. Left a fiancé and a beautiful 3 year old daughter. This is the first song to pop up. I feel crazy for sayin it but I feel like he meant for me to hear this one first. And i balled my eyes out cause i felt it. This song will help me through this. Thank you for making this song, and after listening to quite a bit, i found out he was right. You’re an amazing artist.
I don’t know if you’re religious because you didn’t mention it in your comment, but either way I’m praying for you as well as his family. Had an uncle get killed by a drunk driver, I never met him, but I know he had a best friend who he did everything with just like you and yours and I remember being told how torn up his friend was about the whole thing. I never met that uncle because he passed before I was born, but I know you must be in a lot of emotional pain right now so prayers up brother that sounds like a pretty tough loss.

I don’t understand the meaning behind this song but all I know is I want to give you the biggest hug and not let you go! This song is the most comforting music that reminds me of my childhood. God is good. I love you 💛
The lyrics to this song are golden. Tyler is such a genuine artist. The 7 people who disliked this song can’t understand that and went back to Luke Bryan.
I love this song but I prefer his live version. What I'm getting weirded out by, is the first time I saw the all yourn music video it was completely different than this
Matt Pike yea I totally agree with that. Tyler’s “rough” songs are better than this stuff that Sturgill is producing. Not that I dislike Sturgill but I just prefer the stuff that Tyler does on his own. The older recordings of this song are a masterpiece!

I haven't been one for country music for a long time, but this song really speaks to me. No details, but I'm currently halfway through a year's separation from my wife due to my military status and the apparent need for me overseas. The hurt in my heart is bitter, but the thought of seeing her smiling face welcoming me back home is enough to keep me moving.
My best friend showed me this song last year afew months before he died. He was one of the best people to of ever came into my life and seeing this on my timeline brings back some great memories. Im anyways thinking about you bro, ill see ya again one day. 😔😢
Tyler I just heard of you when my son told me about Whitehouse road . I didn’t realize how really amazing an artist you are until I sat and listened to this new album. I heard your song the other day and was like wow who is that old school guy . You reminded me of a Hank. Then today I heard the song and really listened and thought wow this guy could change the way some people think so I looked you up . I didn’t know anyone was upset about your song I guess it art no matter what if you like music that song is good so how could anyone be mad. You will make a difference
@Tyler Childers Your songs ring so true. Grew up in Detroit, I'm 65 so many of my classmates had KY roots. I married a man from Mayfield KY who was sent to live with his auto worker brother. Not everyone gets your stories, but I sure do....I love putting you on my Nest Hub I understand where you come from Good Music Not everyone understands what a holler or a mountain beauty is People in Texas do not know what a Mountain Beauty is
Tyler, if you remember the last time I introduced you to the stage, I told the audience that you were going to become a star song writer and artist in Nashville. Someone told after I got off the stage that I was saying a lot that wouldn’t come true. Guess you proved them wrong on that. So glad you are still proving it.
I'm feeling bittersweet about it also-- I'm afraid the music will start changing and we will lose him forever!!! BUT...if i ever had faith in any musician to stay true and grounded and not let asshole greedy producers tell them how to make music--it would be Tyler. #teamtimmychilders #OGfans ❤
@@melomaniacjane2260Sturgill's influence has already been to heavy on Tyler, in my opinion. Too much of that psychadelic electric sound in the background on his new album. Damn near ruined "Bus Route", and that was one of my favorites! Damn it. Tyler's on his way out, Sturgill Jr. on his way in.

I lost my brother the day after his 21st birthday--- 52 years ago. I talk to him everyday and I feel him with me in everything I do. It comes As Natural to me as praying. Some people think I'm crazy and maybe they're right. He comes to me in my dreams like he never left. He never lies--- he never cheats---and he is always on my side.

Coming from a guy that listens to a lot of country, Tyler Childers' voice is absolutely unmatched in country music. Something about it is just touching
I’ve converted a lot of people with Tyler. I hate pop country but I love bluegrass and folk- Tyler is a special kind of country and I know a lot of people who like him but hate everything that’s on CMT.
Be grateful to God that he gave you a friend that meant so much. Now, do everything you can to make sure you get to see him in heaven. I believe that's where all murdered people go. Forgive the driver, that's your next step. God Bless you and your deceased best friend. Amen
What pleasant tunes, It was Yellowstone where I heard Tyler - Lovely Lady May, pure love. This song, the words are beautiful, enough to make you love and appreciative everyone and everything around you. My ears long for them, please keep them coming !
Notice how all the comments just got hateful after he put out the new album. You obviously haven’t been paying attention to him if you’re no longer a fan. And he was talking to you in that song. Thank you for being an amazing Kentuckian Tyler.
A Hippy chick thru n thru and I am now a huge fan. Dig your vibe and sound. Peace n Thanks for loving music so now you can feed my soul with your words
I stumbled on to your music looking up Clovis on UA-cam. I hunt arrowheads and was searching for Clovis points. The Clovis point that I found in Green co. Ohio is banded by a strange coincidence ! You have become my favorite artist lately. Love your music. Another coincidence is my family is from Tomahawk Kentucky. Just down the road from your neck of the woods. Looking forward to to seeing you live one day !

I've listened to or watched this video everyday, sometimes multiple times in a day, since it came out and I still love it. The whole album is tremendous.
Probably won't get anywhere with this. But I need to thank you for the memories that I've made with this song. I would sing this song to the girl I loved and dance with her to it. Out of my own arrogance and immaturity I left her. I still think of her when I wake up til I close my eyes. This song makes me relive those moments with her. Thank you Childers.
I've listened to A Long Violent History so many times since last night. Shared it with everyone I could. Thank you Tyler Childers for putting so eloquently into words what i myself felt but did not have the aptitude to say so clearly as you. It took courage to speak out as you have. I pray that people will listen to your message and hear the truth in it. This song is a blessing to the world in a time when it is most needed. Thank you.

I love this song,, I had it playing in the car a few weeks ago , singing away at the top of my lungs word for word, my 17 year old son says “ how do you know this song mum?” Seriously??? How do you know this song?? We both sang it together a few times over ❤❤❤
I am so excited for this album to drop. Tyler, you make amazing music and I feel like the psychedelic influence is such a natural extension of the mountain/country roots that are so prominent in your sound. Keep it up.
I play this and Country Squire for my wife when she's feeling sad. She claims to hate country music, but i can see her smile come in and it warms my heart.

My sister danced to this sing at her wedding. It was the most amazing thing in the world, and I want nothing more than to dance with the boy I like to this song. It's unbelievably perfect.💖
There's so much story telling in the song, and the video, but I don't feel like they're specifically tied together... then you notice all the characters in the video (while technically are all him) are singing the words to the song... 🤯 Just found this guy! But I'll never lose him!
Thank you, Tyler Childers. Who people love and what goes on behind the doors in their own homes should never be a ridiculously hyped-up distraction from the serious problems this country faces. Love between two people is not in any way a political issue,

He's a country singer and I live in Seattle but I'm from Arkansas I lived 30 min from the Louisiana line not many hypsters down there I'm happy to listen to his music it's awesome
I don’t understand the meaning behind this song but all I know is I want to give you the biggest hug and not let you go! This song is the most comforting music that reminds me of my childhood. God is good. I love you 💛
Beautiful work Tyler one of the greatest love songs written in this decade

We'll be hearing this one for a while

The lyrics to this song are golden. Tyler is such a genuine artist.
The 7 people who disliked this song can’t understand that and went back to Luke Bryan.
I love this song but I prefer his live version. What I'm getting weirded out by, is the first time I saw the all yourn music video it was completely different than this
Matt Pike yea I totally agree with that. Tyler’s “rough” songs are better than this stuff that Sturgill is producing. Not that I dislike Sturgill but I just prefer the stuff that Tyler does on his own. The older recordings of this song are a masterpiece!

LYRICS:
Driving through the roadwork
Oh the work they took forever on
The road cones blur like memories
Of the miles we shared between
The place you learned to say your prayers
The place I took to praying
Loading in and breaking down
My road dog, door deal dreams
Long before we ever met
I made up my direction
Long before I knew the half
Of half I'm sure of now
Though I'd say, it ain't the way that you'd a gone about it
Follow me and lead me on, and never let me down
So I'll love ya 'til my lungs give out
I ain't lying
I'm all your'n and you're all mine
There ain't two ways around it
There ain't no trying 'bout it
I'm all your'n and you're all mine
Fried morels and fine hotels and all that in the middle
Every bite, and curtain drawn, I wanna taste with you
The goddess in my Days Inn pen
The muse I ain't refusing
The part of me that ain't around
I'm always talking to
So I'll love ya 'til my lungs give out
I ain't lying
I'm all your'n and you're all mine
There ain't two ways around it
There ain't no trying 'bout it
I'm all your'n and you're all mine
So I'll love ya 'til my lungs give out
I ain't lying
I'm all your'n and you're all mine
There ain't two ways around it
There ain't no trying 'bout it
I'm all your'n and you're all mine
No there ain't two ways around it
There ain't no trying 'bout it
I'm all your'n and you're all mine

My wonderful man sent me this song one night because the lyrics are so beautiful and describe our feelings for each other to a T. which he often does he's one of a kind let me tell you. I am one lucky lady. Love you Corvette ❤️💋
Same here brother, keep your head up and things will be ok. Sing this 1 LAF!
Praying y’all made it home safe! TTFYS god bless
She was probably gettin clapped as you wrote this

This is not what I thought when I listened to this song a thousand times.
literally.
Why do I keep coming back here and crying at the beauty of the lyrics??? God Tyler is a genius
I'm happy for him that he's starting to blow up, but I'm sad because I've loved his music for so long that I feel like my son is leaving me lol
🚀 Whitehouse road and banded clovis 🚀 would agree.....
@@melomaniacjane2260 I was so upset when my favorite folk punk band joined a record label. Thought the album was subpar. Luckily they left and wrote a bunch of fuck you songs that I loved 😂
This song has been making me happy over the past couple days. It still is. I wish things didn't suck but hey, at least theres beautiful music forever!
I hope to be getting married next year & we will be doing our dance to this song. I absolutely adore Tyler's unique voice!!!❤❤❤❤
I wish you the best!
Wow he never ceases to amaze!! Love the sound (duh) and this is the greatest vid ever!! Thanks Tyler thanks Food Stamps & thank you Eastern Kentucky !!!!
This is a perfect song. This is an old soul from a different time and place.
I lost my brother the day after his 21st birthday--- 52 years ago. I talk to him everyday and I feel him with me in everything I do. It comes As Natural to me as praying. Some people think I'm crazy and maybe they're right. He comes to me in my dreams like he never left. He never lies--- he never cheats---and he is always on my side.
my mom passed 7 years ago when i was 11 and i still talk to her everyday aint a thing crazy about loving your family even when they are gone, i’m praying for you and i hope all is well

I don't even like country BUT I LOVE IT!
Can’t believe I’ve never heard this song before!! Absolutely in love with the music video too, so magical and trippy 🤍🌲 truly such a special song, word for word
Coming from a guy that listens to a lot of country, Tyler Childers' voice is absolutely unmatched in country music. Something about it is just touching
Right?? Such a rustic voice that connects to you so deeply 🤍

Honestly same.
I’ve converted a lot of people with Tyler. I hate pop country but I love bluegrass and folk- Tyler is a special kind of country and I know a lot of people who like him but hate everything that’s on CMT.
Favorite part of this video is definitely the tree bong
RIGHT? I have to go make one now lol
or when he enters the tree-hole and falls on a table BAMMM :)
Why didn't I think of making one of these bongs!.
Pretty great right
Waiting for this person 💙🖤💜. Til then I'll sing this to myself 🙂

I definitely expected this video to depict a couple playing in the woods together... but this works
I just failed a drug test from watching this music video.

This is way trippier than the other video
John Salazar acid doesn’t show up on drug tests dawg

What pleasant tunes, It was Yellowstone where I heard Tyler - Lovely Lady May, pure love.
This song, the words are beautiful, enough to make you love and appreciative everyone and everything around you.
My ears long for them, please keep them coming !
Notice how all the comments just got hateful after he put out the new album. You obviously haven’t been paying attention to him if you’re no longer a fan. And he was talking to you in that song. Thank you for being an amazing Kentuckian Tyler.
Tyler Through the Looking Glass. Mountain style!
A Hippy chick thru n thru and I am now a huge fan. Dig your vibe and sound. Peace n Thanks for loving music so now you can feed my soul with your words
I’ve gotta say, even though you’re classified as country, there’s so much more to it than that. Super sweet. Wonderfully put together.
A couple questions. Did Shady Boggs sign that bar band to Hickman Holler Records? Did the spirit of Laid Back Country Picker make it out of the woods?
The picker did, but he left the spirit behind when he agreed to go with this video
One of the best song I've ever heard, and country isn't my first choice.
Tool is obviously.
This gets me every time my friend.
I absolutely despise country but my god does this song ignite something inside of me. I blare this shit day in, day out. Singing my god damn heart out
I stumbled on to your music looking up Clovis on UA-cam.

Thank you.
Tyler is a sellout & so are you.
I just started listening to tyler about 3 months ago. I will stop now. by the way. what's that you said about breona taylor. You sure jumped the gun on that one buddy. I'm no longer a fan.
He already won me over with his music but his message locked me in. Undeniable his country cred and his love for this nation.
This song hits me on all my vibes. Happy, sad, and all in between. LOVE YOU
Im so glad mushrooms made me feel like listening to tyler just now. I have never watched a music video of his but had listened to him for 4.5 years now. This trippee me the fuck out. Thank you Tyler Childers

I love this song,, I had it playing in the car a few weeks ago , singing away at the top of my lungs word for word, my 17 year old son says “ how do you know this song mum?”
Seriously??? How do you know this song??
We both sang it together a few times over ❤❤❤
I am so excited for this album to drop. Tyler, you make amazing music and I feel like the psychedelic influence is such a natural extension of the mountain/country roots that are so prominent in your sound. Keep it up.
man I love this video. love how it extended from the lyric video and comes full circle. LFG Tyler!
I play this and Country Squire for my wife when she's feeling sad. She claims to hate country music, but i can see her smile come in and it warms my heart.
The only country song I can relate to as someone who grew up in the woods and has bittersweet memories of my childhood. Damn this hits hard.
Thank God! a country singer not trying to clone someone else!!! i'd give an arm to be able to sing like this, GREAT job!!!
I can’t believe I got TYLER CHILDERS as a special guest at the guts world tour in KY. He’s so fabulous.
