I bought the THR 10X years ago and still have it and still love it! These things are incredible and sound so damn good.
Bought mine used a couple years ago. It's the best. No pedals needed.

Lol the green one?! I have one and its Fn ridiculous...Cam's got some presets on there. I thought this one was going to be like a newer thr10x style...the blacks still cool tho.
Same, got the THR10X because of Cam, best purchase I have ever made for guitar in over 40 years playing. The tone is insane.

It's actually the other way around, the better you play the better what comes out of any guitar or speaker you use, but it's nice to have gear you enjoy using.
Cam, I really appreciate you taking the time to tell all about this little amp. I took you advice and ordered one from Sweetwater yesterday afternoon. I have learned a ton from you since I started watching your channel. It is because of you that I called Sweetwater and bought a San Dimas!! I got the new lime green metallic!! I admire your ability and feel that you play with. Thanks for all you post and keep up the good work!!
My wife and I use the THR30II and honestly, it's an amazing amplifier, probably the best value for the price on the market. Simple to use and create your sound, the effects are really good. The sound can be a little "boxy" sometimes when playing with lower tuning ( i play baritone guitar) but I think it comes from the little speakers. Also about the little speakers in it they can be really loud for a so little amp. The battery and the Bluetooth are great quality of life features added to the amp.
We are now waiting for Yamaha to do a new version of the THR100D and we will jump on it.
Started my relationship with the thr family with a thr5. Then found your videos and I HAD to get the 10X. Now I run the 5 with a clean sound, the 10X full blown, an A-B switch and make my neighbor's life a tiny bit harder. Or better, depends on their view 😁

Thanks man! But you could say that about any gear. If the playing isn't up to the standard you like then it won't be the same coming out of the speaker. My playing definitely isn't super clean though
I've said it for decades, Yamaha gives you the biggest bang for your buck. I fell in love with some Yamaha stuff
Their acoustics this is especially true, for low to mid range guitars anyway, Yamaha is the best.

I just got the white one of these and it totally rocks and it's super easy to dial in pro level sounds. You were the main inspiration for me to go ahead and get one. I play it wireless and also hook it in stereo to my Roland PA monitor and it can tear my whole house down all while looking very small and cute and no messy wires all over the place which my wife loves. Or I can play it super quiet while she sleeps and it still has tons of feel. I also run my Roland drum kit wireless through it and into the Roland speaker and it also improves my live drum tones as well. Also great this way for playing background music from my phone while I workout. Seriously the best amp decision I ever made for my house!
I bought the 10X years ago just from your videos alone. Have never regretted that purchase and doubt I ever will. Great stuff brother!
I own the same old THR10x; bought it back when it was released and still use it to this day. It is a great amp; it is so good that I find it hard to justify buying the new version, at least as a bedroom player.
For anybody looking to buy a practice amp I would definitely recommend Yamaha, but if you already own one of the previous versions... not so sure. I know there are a few added features, but still. Anyway, just my two cents.

The THR30ii is brilliant. Best bucks I’ve spent in a long time. Fantastic sounding, convenient, your own preesets etc etc etc.
Just setup your EVH tone on my THR and sounds awesome. Actually feels like I can play better!!

man these colors look great, thanks for another great demo, I own the THR10ii no wireless because of you and it still a fantastic amp and is killer for how loud it gets for the size. Definitely recommend this amp to everyone!!!
Is there a big difference between the THR10 and the THR30? The 10's are available at a reasonable price and I'm thinking about getting a 10. I just play at home and record. I'm just not sure if there are features on the 30 that I'd be missing that I would want.

Cams fingers are the number one part of this tone. I can make this preset sound pure ass in no time! Haha but seriously this dude is top tier talented and he could make any decent tone sound fantastic. Practice practice practice. That’s the key.

Of all the Amps I have, (Over 20 Marshalls) the MOST convenient is the YAMAHA THR 30 II...
Just plug in the Line 6 G10 II and away you go with some of the most gnarly sounds you can imagine...
Makes sense that the models and effects rock so hard - after all Yamaha owns line6 and the helix 🧬

I bought a thr30 after seeing your video on it for a few reasons ,battery, tone and so on , but with a few larger amps i have and a helix with P/C and so on , this lil amp is my favorite go to grab n play amp , thank you for opening that door , from playing styles to gear choices (EVH) I really love your channel and content, wish there was a way to directly and financially support it more but just keep the vids coming brother , very awesome job

sounds great yamaha is an amazing company guitars , amps , keyboards , motorcycles , golf carts , jet ski's my God there amazing - your playing is very inspiring also Cameron - I purchased the Charvel tele with the fishman pick ups roasted neck rev headstock - love it

The THR10X brown channel is by far my favorite factory distortion. I love that amp and play through it 95% of the time. The wireless 30II is on my shopping list for sure.

Compared to real amps and anolog pedals I can barely tell the difference. Best modeler I've ever seen ! Most modelers are much more grainy so I would say I'm gonna buy it. The spark kind of sucks compared to this. Thanks for the great playing

Even though I own 14 plus Amps of just about every make from EVH to Marshall to fender to orange, you name it I even got the spark 40 which is similar but this video convinced me to purchase my first Yamaha THR 30 and although I did want it in black, the black was back ordered at American musical supply so I did buy the white one and it arrives today, thank you AMS for your one day free shipping but thank you Cameron, I have been thinking about buying one of these for years and this video pushed me into doing so, can’t wait to get home from work and try it out.

I have the THR10, the THR30ii and the THR100HD, I love all of them. The 100 works super great with pedals, it's amazing!
Ever played them in a band setting? I play with a garage band wonder if this would be loud enough with drums?
No th 30ii isnot loud enough to play with drums. But the 100HD is more than loud enough

@@dunnigan66 The THR30ii could be only used of rehearsal, and only if you have a drummer who cares about the volume. Definitely not for gigging as a standalone amp. The THR100 with a good cabinet will put right where you want to be, but that amp won't be as useful for home practice as the small THR30 or 10.

I bought a THR10X because of your channel and it's been my trusty practice amp for years now. The only thing I wish it had were an fx loop and maybe a footswitch to instantly switch from clean to dirty. As for new content suggestions, I think it'd be fun to have a lesson on your Lake Domain Heroes song.

It's possible to diy a footswitch on the trh10s versions, but there is a sound drop when switching memories

Great review Cameron, that amp sounds amazing. But Wow your are an amazing player. I don't mean to blow sunshine up your butt but we have to give credit where it's due, and IMO you are one of the, if not the best on UA-cam when it comes to playing the in the style of Eddie. What really separates you from the rest is that I believe you also have captured the feel of Eďs style. I know you will, but I just have to say keep doing what you are doing, it's awesome!

Damn! I've been a Line 6 user for about 20 years, but that Yamaha just kicked its Ass and called it an Uber to the hospital 😁 Amazing tones, and the acoustic preset was incredible. Definitely going to trade in my Line 6 gear and get my hands on one of those.

I think youve sold this on me. Ive had the Spark for 2 years and its been a great amp but the connectivity is horrible. I cant move around with it plugged in or it loses signal, swap pickups or loses signal. Its basically find a spot it has signal and dont move. Tried multiple guitars, multiple cables it seems to be the amp. The tones coming out of this thing are incredible. Yamaha im coming for you

Feeling good Lewis! crazy enough this was Alan Holdsworth's amp of choice. I have been in the room with him as he recorded and this was the amp. He also loved the Magic Stomp by Yamaha as well.
I think Holdworth might have used an older THR amp because the 30II came out 2 years after he died.

It looks like they went from the bare metal on/ off switch to a push button one.That was smart because I got a pretty big electrical shock when I touched it while hooked up to two different outlets!

The THR10X was definitely warmer sounding I think. Almost all of the channel is either the 10X or the THR30II and I used my favourite sound for each amp. The best comparison is to compare my videos
Yamaha THR30ii , according to my conversion with Yamaha Support tech in phone: Stereo Out are Balanced and +4dB !
