YES! dude sorry for like freaking the fuck out but i saw this set at a super fragile point on my life. all my shit was gone like 2 days earlier, i didnt even know if i was going to college, it was insane, and this was like the one bright spot in my night. Chris Potter, Antonio Sanchez, Josh Redman, and George Wein were all in the audience for this gig. I will never forget this as long as I live.
I'm happy you are reunited with a magical experience. You should download the audio if you havent in case anything happens! I always record shows I go to, or really anything musical I'm involved with. Theres nothing quite like being put back in the room with the great music moments.
OH MY FUCKING GOD!! I was at this SHOW! It was three days after Kartina! I Evacuated New Orleans and was back home in New York after just getting to NOLA three days earlier and saw this set with my future roomate!!! I CAN NOT FUCKING BELIEVE THIS EXISTS!!!!!
Great Group!!! So cerebral. Brain could just stand next to his drums and sound Great!! Thank You Fellowship Thank You Mr.Brian Blade. One of my favs...🥁 Please come to SW Florida!!(Ft Myers,Naples etc). God Bless You All.
Brian Blade and the fellowship band have a great musical chemistry that elevates the listener to a special place, allowing one to feel the true beauty of the musical art form of jazz.
Possibly the greatest drummer to ever live discover this three days ago, and have listened to this about 20 times for hours on end. I saw Brian and fellowship in NYC at the vanguard in December and it was hands down the most amazing musical experience I have ever had. And I've seen allot of music. This recording is every bit as life changing as that. I not a church going person but hearing this music is like I'm in the presence of god...no joke GOD
I only heard this song on the 1998 video that is on YT and it is just bonkers. I mean I just love these dudes. Jon Cowherd is a damn monster. His chord structures are just so voluminous it is crazy. Thanks for posting this man.
Truly a great band in every sense of the word. The harmony and dynamics inside the compositions makes it special and so original. This is a trailblazing band that sounds fresh, challenging and very innovative. Brian gives it so much freedom and honesty.
@StromboliKicks Thanks! To me, the playing in this set is on another level than anything they've done in the studio.I listened to this bootleg so many times, and i still discover new things everytime, especially in the interplay. Amazing!
