Youve got me all misty-eyed!! I received this model as a Christmas present... gosh... had to be 45 years ago! It was my favorite toy, had so much fun playing with it! Thanks for the memory ☺
I got one of these for Christmas when I was 8. That was almost 50 years ago. I still have it ! In its original box. Some childhood memories, I just can't let go of.
I remember getting a Tonka dump truck (built sort of the same way) and like you I kept the box, looks kind of ratty now but I still have them together. Probably end up in the landfill when I'm gone. Great memories though:)
It is really relaxing! & it's so cool to see these old toys saved from the trashcan,& brought back to New Status.....makes me wanna go grab some of my old Tonka trucks, & take a shot at this myself?
Magnificent job! Now, some testors model paint for some detail work, clearance lights, tail lights and headlights. That would put it on the next level.
New to this channel and cannot get enough of it, love watching your work Joe. I find myself now looking at different sales sites for these great toys in the hope of finding a rare one.
I think it good someone restores these old toys instead of just throwing them away, this is what we had as kids to play with, We would take them out Tonka's Nylint, to the field while our parents and grandparents was working, and play right out in the hot sun all day, Until we got old enough to work in the fields, I'm thinking some of these old toy trucks maybe still laying around the old barn. If they haven't been thrown away. I may give it a try. Problem is find the correct decals. It would very cool to give these to my grandkids and let them play with our old toys. Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it enough to subscribe. I'll be watching
I never realized that U-Haul had unpainted trucks till I saw you restore this truck and didn't understand why you did that. So I looked it up and sure enough U-Haul had unpainted trucks in the 50's, great job and thanks for the history,
What a beautiful restoration! I had one of these as a child unfortunately I sold years ago and it was still in nearly perfect condition. How I miss the toys in my childhood!

I am wondering why people would dislike a great art like this!! it’s actually disgusting. Great job my friend. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.
sencillamente, espectacular. si usted con su talento restaura cosas, sepan que Dios tambien nos recoje de la basura y nos da nueva vida y para siempre si se lo permitimos. Dios le bendiga
I love to watch the work but must admit that I scroll to the sandblasting very quickly. Don’t know why but it makes me happy. Only my therapist can explain that one. 😂😂😂
Yeah. I felt the same way. It's one of those 'oddly satisfying' things that no-one can seem to explain. Your therapist will probably tell you to 'just go with it, so long as it makes you happy.'
I’ve got one of these that’s missing the back door and I’ve been looking all over the Internet and I cannot find one where did you get yours? Thank you Josh

My dad was a U-Haul dealer in the 70s and I received this truck for Christmas one year thanks for the video brought back good memories
I want this vehicle in Christmas

Polyester glazing putty or 2k high build primer would have been a good option for filling the rust pits.
Youve got me all misty-eyed!! I received this model as a Christmas present... gosh... had to be 45 years ago! It was my favorite toy, had so much fun playing with it! Thanks for the memory ☺
I've seen a toy truck like that nearly 40 years ago when Nylint used to make these toys & that was the last time I've seen that U-Haul toy truck .
I got one of these for Christmas when I was 8. That was almost 50 years ago. I still have it ! In its original box. Some childhood memories, I just can't let go of.
Wow. I dont think I even thought of keeping the boxes for any of my toys.

I still have a road grader I got for Christmas when I was 8 or 9 years old. Had for 50 years.
@@scotthorton1129 LOL, Now that you mention it I could have that as well? I'll have to do some digging. As the years go by the junk builds up.
Would be lovely to see a photo of it?

Не устаю вами восхищаться и смотреть ваши работы!!!! Какая же красота получается, мне кажется новые так не выглядели, как после работ ваших рук!!!
Love it ! Hope to restore one of these days as well
Gorgeous. Great job Joe. Saved another piece of Americana from the scrap heap!

WOW JOE YOU DID A REALLY GREAT RESTO ON THIS MOVER TRUCK 👍😁👍
I had that exact truck as a kid ! Wish I still had it. Brought back some good memories. Thanks!

looks great no matter what others say - well done Joe
came out wonderful, I didn't know you could buy parts for these
Congratulations on your impeccable work ...
Great work. I would encourage you to try and do more salvage. Use your skills to clean the original parts and reuse them instead of buying repops....
Very good. I'd like the collors you used, and the aluminium Collor in chest too
Next box truck you find, you should turn into a "tiny home". 😂
You knocked that outta the Ball Park Joe 👍
Thats cool as heck. I would love to have one of them
This is really AWSOME what a good job

I had several Nylint toys when I was a kid
Really beautiful restoration. Well done.
Why not use spot putty to cover some of the pitting on the cab and frame under the cab
This was bothering too. A lot of other channels like this smooth out the rust pitting.
Ran across these videos this morning & I can’t stop watching. Gotta take a lot of patience to do that.
I thought you had the finished one spinning on an Amazon Alexa lol🤗🤣🤣

older brother it may be possible to 3D print one but i not sure about the roller shutter effect as that would be difficult to replicate.
