See Through is my top favorite Pentatonix original song of all time. It's the first song I heard them sing live and it blew me away. The video of the live performance at Roxy Los Angeles was my very first Mitch Slap. He murdered it. Hard.
Hello Saucey Dad! Love your conversations with Slappy! The only thing better than listening to Mitch sing is watching Mitch sing and bounce..... or sing and dance!
The distortion was bc of Avi at star vista and that's the one Mitch went crazy in . This isn't the redbull one. You wouldn't be speaking of you heard those soaring notes in star vista.
I really wish you'd do the studio version before the live versions, so you can truly hear all the amazing parts that you just lose in live performances from the video quality and microphones/speakers. Great reaction as always, though!
As others have mentioned: the second performance is from a different concert, it doesn't come close to the Singapore version. It's a pity, because despite the distortion this is one of the best live performances of this mash-up. And I second what others have said: I understand your passion for live performances, but there are very few where the sound is so well-balanced as to come close to the official recording. It's hard to really appreciate what they do if you can't hear half of it. Love Again is a perfect example of this - it's such a shame you didn't react to the original first. Perhaps try to combine the two in future? Though the live versions would need to be carefully curated, many are awful due to shitty sound engineering or recording technology. It doesn't do their musical genius justice.
Yes, I was in 2nd row from stage at the Evergreen Christmas show, & I got Mitch slapped & all the other kinds of Pentakilled &.my brain is still damaged!!!
Here is a clip of the one in Singapore, the sound quality and light is good on this one, if you want to do a redo for you and Nikki, ua-cam.com/video/g-YFm3l9ZDo/v-deo.html. Enjoy, gets a little more distorted at the end with Avi.
Great reaction. I've never seen this one before. Just one note. This is not the same performance as The Star Vista. Different wardrobe and different stage setup. Also, your original video link sends you to the Quincy Jones presents performance.
I think the cell phone microphones lose some of the frequencies (you can barely hear Avi although he's clearly doing something awesome) and obviously, there is all the noise from the crowd. I don't often listen to these videos people take at their live shows, because they tend to be a bit painful to listen. That's why the footage from the Popspring is so precious.
My hubby got us tickets for PTX in 2018, for my birthday. Best birthday present, ever. Even beat the Harry Potter in concert. Loudest movie I've ever been to. A concert hall with a movie screen, and a live orchestra. Where 1/3 of the audience was in cosplay. And the conductor requested that we be as loud as we wanted for our favorite characters. It was shortly after Alan Rickman had passed. He and Emma Watson were the 2 who had the audience screaming. The floor was literally shaking.
I always have a smile on my face when I watch your PTX reactions. BUT I don't speak Saucy in reference to your "burbling". Is that Mainely spoken in your area?

i don't think the second vid you clicked was the same performance (different outfits 😜) but mitch ALWAYS kills it live. unicorn.

Haha bouncing up and down with mitch definitely knows how to give us all a boost 😄 can't wait to see them next year
There is video out called bouncy Mitch, fun to watch.
I'm so glad that you found a video with clearer audio to react to for this tour performance. The distorted speakers annoy me too.

I think Avi did blow the sound system here..I think you're right. Great reaction! I've never seen this one before...loved it!
They have to deal with poor mics and acoustics... they still put on a great show. This speaks to their brilliance.
Avi's super low bass note in the song before Aha blew the system. That's why the sound was not up to snuff during Aha and after.

I've never seen this one before but I hope you listen to those high notes from star vista.
But I liked this one. Thanks for doing it.
2 different performances. I get that the distortion (Avi's bass, I think) is something to get past, but it so would have been worth it!
The whistling in the headphones was brutal!!
@@SauceyDad it's a shame, but completely understandable! Always love your reactions 😊

You should check out their impromptu performance of "somebody I used to know" by gotye
Yep, different shows. The only reason it looks the same is that is their stage setup.
Love this one
Bouncy Mitch is the best!
They're in Singapore, but there's nothing poor about their singing. The sound quality could have definitely been better though.

You are hilarious 😂 love ya x
