Hi thanks for the ownership update.. how is the rear seat comfort? With 3 seated for typical family use.. avearge height people that is.. can it be used for 5 in comfort for long runs? Will help me decide on this car.. thanks
It’s best suited for 2 + 1 teenager at best, 3 adults would be tight fit for shoulder room, leg room is fine.
Hey, i wanted to ask a few questions about the virtus you own as i was looking to buy one too. People say that in some time the virtus starts having this rattling sound all over the dashboard and doors, so did you experience any? Your opinion will really matter in my purchase because i dont like any kind of structural noises in my car. Thanks
I own one, rattling noises started from door pads within 2 months, the car is basically brand new, it's now making noises from the centre console as well. VW 2.0 cars are terribly cheap from the inside. You wont feel it untill you own it for more than a week. Honda City has a much much better interior quality if that is what you're after.
The interior looks poorly finished on the Virtus. Especially, the seats 😢
It's a beautiful car from the outside, best looking in the segment.
How many km you driven in 1year and what is average given overall fuel efficiency?
My running is 2000+ every month 50% highways and 50% city....
Should I go for virtus?
Have driven around 8.5k in a year and fuel efficiency really depends on driving style, keep revs below 2k rpm, with this light foot driving will get 11-12kmpl in city and highway mileage around 16-17 and goes around 20 with cruise control, I feel 1.0 AT good for city use than 1.5 DSG esp with 50% city usage

Did you face any issues with brakes?
There were complaints about heavy noise from brakes and jerks/vibrations when brake is applied.
I faced brake noise issue with vento 1.0 TSI AT, and had to replace the disk pad, no issues after that

Have you changed accelerator and break paddles ? I don’t think you get aluminium trim with 1.0 Topline also.
Yes, changed them from VW itslef
Very good information. But please let us know how is the performance of AC and brakes because there were some issues reported earlier.
AC performance has been good since the software update, but would take more time to cool esp back seats which is not as fast as it does in Japanese cars, didn’t face any issue with brakes yet.

1st year service would cost around 6-8k and will be around 1-2k if service package is purchased
Is there any ac problem? and interior roof lining problem.
AC problem is solved with the software update and now cooling is on par with what I had with Vento, rear doesn’t cool faster and still takes some time or higher fan speeds, roof liner so far is fine, but quality is down from earlier VWs

I'm planning to buy Virtus Automatic, but confused between 1.0 & 1.5 especially because engine vibrations.
Is it really a deal breaker. It's making more noise initial couple of minutes may be due to cold start, but I didn't notice the same with 1.5.
Please advise.
Yes it’s common on a 3 cylinder engine, but once put to drive it vanishes, get the 1.5 if you do a lot of highway trips and need that performance, else for regular city use the 1.0 is better especially the torque converter gearbox is better for city usage and doesn’t have reliability issues earlier associated with the DSG box
Mileage in city and highway
Getting around 10-12 in city and 16-17 on highway, keeping under 2000rpm gets better mileage
