Thank you so much for uploading this great video. I used to live in Renfrew as a young boy between the years 1957, to 1962. Life was a brutal struggle in the winter, I used to walk along the railroad tracks four times a day to get to school in knee deep snow. But of course there were some wonderful days in the summer, going to Calabogie, and fishing in lakes where you would see no one all day. I'm so glad that I had the chance to live in Renfrew, I had a chance to love the freedom of being able to just go into the sticks and pretty much see Canada as the early settlers once did. Thank you Canada, Thank you Renfrew, and thank you Jim Childerhose. ALthough I no longer live in Canada, I do indeed stand on guard to thee.

If you are considering moving to RENFREW Ontario or INVESTING in a business, DON'T ! Renfrew is very unfriendly towards " OUTSIDERS" of ANY kind . As well , the town AND police force are corrupt . The police in particular often side with the criminals and ignore drug dealers . IF you are unemployed on welfare and like to sit at home doing drugs , or running down squirrels on the street with your pickup truck , then you might find Renfrew to your liking . But if you are a normal family person who expects to be protected by the police , do NOT consider Renfrew . If you do settle here you will quickly find the locals spreading horrible stories about you no matter how hard to try to integrate . Although the PROVINCE repaved much of main street , the majority of side roads in town are so rough and potholed , that major damage can occur if you have a mid to compact sized car . Apparently Renfrew has a higher than average percentage of home owners who are in arrears on their taxes so the town is constantly begging the province for handouts . Also google the restaurant and hotel reviews to get an idea of the quality of establishments in RENFREW . Expect to get sick as indicated in many reviews . DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF MOVING TO THIS TOWN IF YOU ARE AN EDUCATED CIVILIZED INDIVIDUAL !
@@mothlesbian . Yes . by all means , spread the word . Did you hear about the big drug bust a few weeks ago ? Everyone knew this guy was a major dealer in Renfrew.. Well everyone except the Renfrew OPP . For 2 years this guy was doing regular deliveries but the local cops either didn't know... of ignored him.. That is until the eastern ONT. community crime division brought it to their attention. Only then were they forced to act. The perp was caught with 5000$ worth of cocaine in his truck. The truck was seized but did that stop him ? What do you think ?? The cops seem more interested in doing slow drive by's of innocent citizens ( staring at their houses to try to frighten them ) rather than going after the REAL criminals . It was only last year that 4 prolific criminals walked free due to an officers dereliction to her duty in not presenting the crown with the evidence to prosecute ( 54 break / enter / theft ect between them. What happened to that officer ? A nice early retirement on a full pension .
