Idk about you and your experience, I made the best out of that place for what it is! Could be worse as alot of other local places are strange! The small Beach area has that bullshit old biker trap with noisey bikes passing by on the highway and also the parking lot noise! Beach is amazing after getting used to the nuts there, myself included depending on who's experimenting! Again, visit elsewhere, you might go back to the beach! They seem the understand somthing about people that some place's don't know a thing about!

User's! The coder's stole right from the start! Started at home and the alot of places they toar down and built larger trap house's interfearing with innnocent live's! Old! What value is left? I took my daughter to a hockey game and same sick old plants 2023! When does life start for people who appreate quality vs cheap selling within numbers and war! She's not even 3 and people of old already have beyond tested the waters! Family as long as they get thier lie of a clean slate

We are from the US and thinking about establishing residency there. This was great to see.

Lived here in the mid '60's up by an old quarry at the back edge of town (Morris St) near where a school was built later. I see nothing that reminds me of that old Pembroke, the mill town and bedroom community of Chalk River and CFB Pettawa. Bill Haley and the Comets played in one of the local, down town watering holes on the river side of the main street just east of the old bank. Further east was the bridge over the tributary that divided the town into two parts. Those islands up ahead @ 7:23 I suspect is where the bridge to Quebec is. There was a crazy road house down there that I went to once. Single story wide open drinking parlour. It looked to me through my 16 year old eyes where the classic 50's greasers went to rumble. I'll look for a video going west to see if I can recognize anything going that way. Thanks for posting. I checked it out but, that era is gone. Went to the Pembroke Collegiate Institute as a young teen and took marksmanship using a 22 in the gun range in the basement. I think those days are gone as well.

amazing how you keep the flow of your shots which seems to keep you from having to edit clips together in the studio... such cultured sections of land in this area of Ontario where the forestry barons once harvested their lumber

Pembroke is literally the scummiest place to ever live in. The drug usage is high and the amount of crime here is unbelievable and theres nothing to do here. I highly don’t recommended coming here its hell and i cant wait to move away

My great gramma was a German settler in this area and my gramma grew up here. For this reason, this little area will always be Golden to me 💙 so beautiful!!!

A long time coming comment, but, Great drone footage!!! Our family had a cottage SW of the Bay for decades. Just went to the area this summer after 16 years away. Absolutely LOVED the aerial visit!!

Renfrew is a hell hole of drugs and police corruption where good people are allowed to be victimized. Do NOT ever consider investing or settling in this town. Its a place where elderly residents are made to live in fear

I would like to tell you Jim how much I appreciate this video. I grew up in this area as a youth going to a good friends camp/cottage every summer in the early 1970's and 80's.The memories of Golden Lake, Killaloe, Eganville and the surrounding area are deep in my soul. Your video was excellent! I recognized many landmarks almost immediately. Funny how rural areas stay the same after many years. I will try to make the trip to Golden Lake on my Burgman next year if time permits as my young one has finally departed for University. I find it rather disturbing that the making of this video is now illegal for some strange reason as you impeded no flight path, nor emergency equipment. I will write my MP accordingly. Best of regards.

If you are considering moving to RENFREW Ontario or INVESTING in a business, DON'T ! Renfrew is very unfriendly towards " OUTSIDERS" of ANY kind . As well , the town AND police force are corrupt . The police in particular often side with the criminals and ignore drug dealers . IF you are unemployed on welfare and like to sit at home doing drugs , or running down squirrels on the street with your pickup truck , then you might find Renfrew to your liking . But if you are a normal family person who expects to be protected by the police , do NOT consider Renfrew . If you do settle here you will quickly find the locals spreading horrible stories about you no matter how hard to try to integrate . Although the PROVINCE repaved much of main street , the majority of side roads in town are so rough and potholed , that major damage can occur if you have a mid to compact sized car . Apparently Renfrew has a higher than average percentage of home owners who are in arrears on their taxes so the town is constantly begging the province for handouts . Also google the restaurant and hotel reviews to get an idea of the quality of establishments in RENFREW . Expect to get sick as indicated in many reviews . DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF MOVING TO THIS TOWN IF YOU ARE AN EDUCATED CIVILIZED INDIVIDUAL !

Thank you so much for uploading this great video. I used to live in Renfrew as a young boy between the years 1957, to 1962. Life was a brutal struggle in the winter, I used to walk along the railroad tracks four times a day to get to school in knee deep snow. But of course there were some wonderful days in the summer, going to Calabogie, and fishing in lakes where you would see no one all day. I'm so glad that I had the chance to live in Renfrew, I had a chance to love the freedom of being able to just go into the sticks and pretty much see Canada as the early settlers once did. Thank you Canada, Thank you Renfrew, and thank you Jim Childerhose. ALthough I no longer live in Canada, I do indeed stand on guard to thee.
